I want to draw a wall with irregular bricks. Meaning these are old elongate bricks that are not exactly rectangular and are not all of the same length.
I should design a Silicone model for a Breast Cancer Survivor. My problem is the Irregular Geometric Shape of silicone. I tried "Sphere"/ "Loft" commands, but I didn't get my desired outcome! I also drew the 2D base by "Spline"; however,"Extrusion" was not a good option to make it look like a 3D silicone!
I cant get rounded shape in the irregular form attached. When I have one straight line edge its ok, but when have many edges in an irregular 3d shape it gives me an error message.
Wanted to do the same thing in the yellow pointers that I did in the black one.
I am trying to create a specific hatch for bricks and mortar. I have no problem creating the standard brick hatch but when I try to put mortar around the bricks that is when I get unstuck!
My horizontal lines and spaces appear to be okay but my vertical lines are all over the place, very confusing!!
I have attached my workings (have not yet got to the 4th line of code though!)
Usually, I chamfer a simple box by creating it, converting it to an editable poly, selecting the edges, and adding a chamfer in the 'Modify' tab. Now, my problem:
The Lego fan community has developed digital Lego parts [URL]..., which use the correct dimensions, but have unreastic chamfering and geometries (eg, an octagon is used to depict a circle. LDview, a program for viewing LDraw files is able to export these parts into .3ds (and .stl) files - links below. However, I am unable to chamfer or modify these parts using my usual method.
I am trying to add some red bricks similar to the ones shown on the house to this dirt path.
I tried adding a layer, made it an overlay, and copying and pasting the bricks onto the dirt area. That didn't work. Tried using the clone tool and that didn't work.
I'm working on some renderings for homes, and I need to plase some bricks over an arch on a window. I've got a pic of bricks all lined up, but they are straight, and I need them to bend around a curve.
I am trying to create a spheric container with a irregular pattern of different triangle as show in the example attached.
What would be the best way to creat this part? i was thinking of creating each triangle in a different .ipt and after assemble them all toghter. But this will take ages and a lot of ipt.
I have a mesh box here, and I need this mesh box had shape like the form I drew with polylines. there is a picture of it. I tryed mesh modeling, but no luck, because I need exactly the shape (of mesh box), that is drawn with polyline
in one of my XREF files, a lot of lines of which i believe are the outlines for the blocks, suddenly appear in my drawing. The funny thing is when i open the xref, the file dissapears.
The problem I'm having is presspull/extrude irregular shapes.
I have some really weird, irregular shapes that's consisted of fillets, lines, and arcs. For some reason I cannot REGION it. But I can HATCH it, and give it a solid inner part.
My irregular after being filled, can't be extruded. When I try extruding it, the command line goes "This kind of shape cannot be extruded", without any explanation, or keywords.
Then, if I try to PressPull, it only PressPull the outline of the irregular shape, without pulling out the inner bulk part.
Then if I try to do anything more, my AutoCad likes to go "About to regen -- proceed?" error.
Quite often I need to measure shortest surface distance between two points (electrical tracking diatance) as in pic below. I can do it iteratively by taking a range of slices out of the part (2nd pic) and measuring the cut edge length but it's quite meticulous and time consuming.
Is it possible to add 3D faces to irregular shapes with more than 4 points? For example I have a stair case with a missing face on the side but I can only create a sqaure face which doesnt fit the steps of the stairs
I need to divide irregular shapes into equal parts. For example, the attached shape needs to be divided into 10 equal parts. Parametres could be set such as all dividing lines are horizontal.
I need to do this in autocad (2013) if possible.
The closest discussion I found on this was at [URL] ......
I am trying to create a 3D meshed surface from an irregular shaped solid I created using firstly a SPLINE, FILLET, PEDIT, and EXTRUDE. I have a solid in the basic shape now, but I am trying to create a meshed top and bottom (x, y, z,) to change the contours of those surfaces. I have looked at 3DMesh but it asks for (n,M,) coordinates like it is a regular shaped surface (square, rectangle) where one can calculate the required even spacing needed.
My goal is to create in CAD something like a fine art carved piece of wood, with irregular shaping and no straight planes or surfaces.
I have included a basic picture in JPEG format for your review. This is the item from which I am trying in ACAD 2010 to construct into a usable adjustable form so I may parametric for my needs.
Many times I see that these types of irregular shapes which comprise of spline curve are created with very less or no dimensions, so I want to know how this spline curve was created and can be controlled, if I want to create it in an exact manner what dimension I should use ?
I have a set of 8 coordinates that outline a pit. I have been asked to calculate it's volume. I have input the coordinates, and have produced a 3D image of the pit. I was hoping to be able to convert the object (the pit) that I have created to a solid, so I could then determine the volume, although it is proving to be difficult.
I work with maps, and i hatched a area, with a irregular shape, now i want to know this area, how can i proceed?? I already selected all area and clicked on properties to see Geometry information, acumulative... Did the List Comand.. and nothing.
I have this large background for a website and i want to make a banner at the top. The background has a designated shape and size for the banner. I need to crop the irregular shape and make a whole new image out of it in order to put my banner inside of it.
How do I crop an irregular selection( eg I have a reflection in a window surrounded by a brick wall). I select the window using the quick selection tool. How do I crop just preserving the window and getting rid of the bricks?
is there a way to make a blend on an irregular object, for instance an object made with custom curves using the bezier tool. I can get it to blend with a circle or square. Here is an example, this is my website. URL..... I did the top graphic one object at a time.
I need to use gradient on a shape so that it's black on the borders and lighter in the center. The problem is, Radial gradient does not make all the borders black (it's not a circle after all) and if i use resize well...it resizes on a median point but it does not do the same with let's say, 10px from the border .....
