View 8 RepliesI have a picture that is slightly a rhombus. I would like to select the four corners using the polygon lasso tool, and would then like to paste it, but stretch the corners so it becomes a perfect square.
I have been trying this with the perspective, but am not having any luck.
I am using the Photoshop 6 for windows.
I love Paint.net. It's the only image editor I use now and has pretty much every feature I need in an image editor. But today I'm attempting a project I can't seem to find the right tools for.
I'm trying to copy and paste a rectangle onto another image. But the object in the image I'm pasting to is tilted slightly. So I need to find a way to change my copied rectangle into a trapezoid that will make it look natural on the new image.
Under LAYERS - ROTATE / ZOOM, I found some tools that seem to work. But now I need to select only the trapezoid to paste to the new image. The only cropping tools I can find only allow a rectangular selection. I can't find a tool to choose a corner to corner irregular selection. Does Paint.net have such a tool or is there a plugin I can download for this process.
I am trying to draw an inner trapezoid.
But I do not how to move forward now.
Please see the appended file first (in Inventor 2014).
(1) How can I draw an inner (smaller) trapezoid 5 mm apart from the outer body?
(2) If I use a workplane that is placed in the body, how can I figure out the drawing?
Because the drawing line is buried in the body, I cannot see the drawing.
(3) After "drawing an inner trapezoid" -> "extrude" -> "cut" as in the file, how can I check its cross section?
Is the "inspect -> section" only possible way?
I have 4 layers (background, layer1, layer2, layer3-text). They fill all 300 x 600 pixels that comprise the .psd/future image. What I want to do is use a rounded rectangle to encompass all of the other layers, so that the surrounding pixels (around the rounded rectangle) are transparent.
I want all of my current layers to be the content of a rounded rectangle.
I saw that the Rounded Rectangle properties were not available on the regular rectangle (to change corner radius).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project at the moment, which entails cropping irregular shapes and bringing all the shapes together to form one finished image. I have added an example of the images that I am using.
I have managed to lasso an element from this sheet, but don't know how to take that element and put it on a nice new white background/sheet then take other elements from this page and other pages that I have, then create a new image from all the elements.
Easy enough in ID and Ill, sure. However, how do you wrap text around an irregular shaped object in Photoshop?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS6 on a desktop running Windows 7 with AMD Radeon HD 6750 and I noticed that when I zoom at 66.7% or 33%, the pictures edges look "jagged"/blurry, etc. and the image only has a smooth rendering at 100%, 50%, 25%, etc.
I wouldn't ask about this except, I have the same exact version of Photoshop on my laptop, running Windows 7 with Intel's HD 4000 built-in graphics, and this computer displays smooth rendering of images at any zoom level, no matter what. So why the difference? The settings in the Preferences > Performance section is identical on both computers.
Like the title says I'd like to know how to darken (or change the color) a specific irregular area of a picture, without afecting the rest of the picture.
I want to darken the color of the thin "vertical!?" lines of this picture, without afecting the remaining picture:
is there a way to make a blend on an irregular object, for instance an object made with custom curves using the bezier tool. I can get it to blend with a circle or square. Here is an example, this is my website. URL..... I did the top graphic one object at a time.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to model a hollow stone shaped (see images attached) object in 3D max that will be 3D printed. The stone shape has to have a separate top and bottom so that I can embed electronics in it afterwards. My problem is I am finding it difficult to create a lip that will enable the top & bottom to securely fit into one another, so that when someone picks it up it will not fall apart. I was thinking of using a system like the attached image Lip_Profile.gif. I have no problem modelling something like this on a regular box/sphere using a lathe, however I can't find a technique to model this on irregular objects. Any technique that would enable me to model such a fitted lid?

I'm having problems with a document which has 26 artboards, the document was created by another designer and for some reason everytime I try and rearrange the artboards in this document, it crashes illustrator. The document is not large enough to warrent my machine crashing when I try and do this, and I have plenty of ram. Also the artboards are stacked very irrgeularly they do not work in sequence either horizontaly or vertically down the document canvas area in rows of columns, how is it possible to arrange the art boards in an irregular way like this, I would like to know for future reference? Maybe if I can find this out I can manually rearrange the boards. I should mention when I do try and rearrange the boards, sometimes it doens't crash illustraor straight away and it gives me the message that the artboards will fall completely outside of the document area. This happens no matter what direction I try ( grid by row, grid by coloumn, arrange by row, arrange by column) and also when I try and reduce the amount of space between the boards it doesn't work either.
I cannot upload images as the document is for a client.
I have trouble manually tracing around an irregular shape, such as a pitcher winding up to pitch a ball. I use the shape editor to outline the figure. When I finish I find that there's two outlines, and they're not connected. Is there some way to get them connected as one complete outline?

I have attached a section for ease of explanation.
