View 3 Replies View RelatedAny end section profile style that adjusts to the attached pipe size. I have been trying for days to create this style and I cannot get it to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have lots of section views with some surfaces and pipes. Unfortunately, in a number of section views pipes are not shown in full height because the section view level range is too little. What I am wondering is - is it possible to automatically adjust section level ranges so that they fully include pipe sections? Please see also the image in the attachment.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have attached a picture of my issue. I have a section view with pipes drawn in them. However, for some reason I am getting lines from different networks that aren't crossing my sample line. The purple pipe is a storm pipe and the green is the sewer. The blue lines you see are water lines, but shouldn't be on this section view.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI would like to show a pipe network structure on my section view. The catch- the structure is 10' away from my sample line. Is there any way to project structures onto section views? C3D 2011

I can't remember how to change a pipe end section type. I have concrete and want a metal one. I right click and went to swap part, but the metal end section is not listed. The block is fine; all I need to do is to change the material type in the callout. I am using the C3D flared end section with modified text in the callout. Where to I go to change the definition?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to label a pipe crossing offset in section view dynamically? I see there are options to label start offset and end offset, but not at the actual crossing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedC3D 2009. I have a style that labels the pipe diameter in section view and the type of pipe. When I label the pipe everything shows up fine. Save the drawing and re-open and my labels are gone. I can see them when is opening but after it regenerates, gone. All layers are on display set to true. Tried too many different things and no success. This issue only happens in two drawings.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a curved piece of acrylic in a design that is a section of a cone with 2 holes in it (for a structure to pass through), I need to try and flatten it for CNC matching.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn 2011 the pipe network cross section labels had to be exploded or they would disappear once you closed the drawing (even with saving).
In 2012 can you close and open a drawing and have the labels not disappear?

Noticed this in R2013? Not bothering to check with 2014 yet as I don't really use it.I have three vports. TL is Profile view, TR is SV and other is 3d.
There seems to be slight difference between the pipes in the profile/sections compared with the Structure pipe crossing.
All styles are set for External walls, when swapped to internal this is still incorrect. All pipes are same size & part and are Horizontal. Sections / alignment is taken along centre of pipework.
I have these two pipes, one is 4" diameter (running horizontally) and the other is 6" diameter running at a 30degree from horizontal angle. eventually the two hit, and at that intersection I need to make the 4" pipe join to the 6"' pipe, which then continues on its merry way farther down the structure. So I can extrude the two pipes, and I can even make a union and then remove the excess of the 6" pipe, because what I am really looking for is: a cutting diagram for the joint where the remaining 4" pipe hits the 6" section. A cutting diagram for the short piece of a Y joint.
I can make this image appear on my screen, but I am then stumped as to how to unwrap the pipe into a flat section so that I can see the curvature of the cuts required in planar view, for the real pipe that I have on my shop floor.
I understand how to get a shape drawn in cross section view -- assign a shape to the area in the SA. I've done that but now I need/want to take the next step.
Using SAC, I created an SA that draws my RockFill but it only shows up in cross section view.
How do I spec that I want the shape to show in plan view too? the shape in plan view should be the daylight line on one side and the RockFill Line on the other side.
I am setting different cut and fill shapes for different material and it keeps plotting the same patterns. I check the material table and the section view display tab for the shape and it all looks correct. for now I went through them manually selecting the fill shape and changin it.

I'm using shape outline styles for corridor "structures" materials list to depict my cross section material shapes in section views. After creating the materials list everything looks fine until I exit the file, re-open or try to plot it using Sheet Set Manager. All shape outlines disappear randomly & if regenall is ran after opening xs.dwg the shapes will reappear.
Seems like the shapes should stay put but I'm getting this in all xs.dwg's for all my alignments.
-Attached Sec view 1 .jpg shows how section should look & Sec view 2 shows the disappearing issue.
Again with regenall the shapes usually reappear so the biggest dileema is the inability to do multiple plots & there are many sheets to plot but there are also times when the materials list stops dsplaying & only way to get it back is recreate the materials list.

My boss has designed a gravity project that has 21" PVC. Civil 3D 2010 only has 20" PVC, not 21". He basically said 21" PVC exists (JM Eagle) so make it happen. So how exactly can I add a new size to the Parts Catalog under PVC?

I have an irregular 3D solid, a slab with an opening, and I want its coordinates. However, Autocad provides coordinates only for a simple 3D face.
I plan to use 'Xedges' to get its all edges first, and then get coordinates of these lines.
I have a mesh box here, and I need this mesh box had shape like the form I drew with polylines. there is a picture of it. I tryed mesh modeling, but no luck, because I need exactly the shape (of mesh box), that is drawn with polyline

I should design a Silicone model for a Breast Cancer Survivor. My problem is the Irregular Geometric Shape of silicone. I tried "Sphere"/ "Loft" commands, but I didn't get my desired outcome! I also drew the 2D base by "Spline"; however,"Extrusion" was not a good option to make it look like a 3D silicone!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have changed some pipe sizes in Vistas (pipe network edit), the object sizes are changed in plan & profile views except the pipe sizes in label, it appears the same sizes as before.
I tried to re apply the labels in entire plan & profile, still be the same.
I need to divide irregular shapes into equal parts. For example, the attached shape needs to be divided into 10 equal parts. Parametres could be set such as all dividing lines are horizontal.
I need to do this in autocad (2013) if possible.

I am trying to create a 3D meshed surface from an irregular shaped solid I created using firstly a SPLINE, FILLET, PEDIT, and EXTRUDE. I have a solid in the basic shape now, but I am trying to create a meshed top and bottom (x, y, z,) to change the contours of those surfaces. I have looked at 3DMesh but it asks for (n,M,) coordinates like it is a regular shaped surface (square, rectangle) where one can calculate the required even spacing needed.
My goal is to create in CAD something like a fine art carved piece of wood, with irregular shaping and no straight planes or surfaces.
I have included a basic picture in JPEG format for your review. This is the item from which I am trying in ACAD 2010 to construct into a usable adjustable form so I may parametric for my needs.
I have a set of 8 coordinates that outline a pit. I have been asked to calculate it's volume. I have input the coordinates, and have produced a 3D image of the pit. I was hoping to be able to convert the object (the pit) that I have created to a solid, so I could then determine the volume, although it is proving to be difficult.
how I could calculate the volume of this pit?
I work with maps, and i hatched a area, with a irregular shape, now i want to know this area, how can i proceed?? I already selected all area and clicked on properties to see Geometry information, acumulative... Did the List Comand.. and nothing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using C3D 2012. I have a pipe network catalog located on our office network server. I have a pipe size shown as 15" that is incorrect, it should read and label the pipe as 16" (see attached image). I don't know a lot of the workings how to edit this from 15 to 16 inch and what I need to do to get it correct for the other C3D users in the office.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got the Pipe Table style just as I need it except for one thing. I have all circular pipes and I would like the "size" column to display in inches rather than in feet. In the past I was able to multiply this number by 12 in the style composer but that doesn't seem to work anymore.
