Apr 20, 2012For some reason two of my pipes in my catalog want to draw themselves larger than they should be. Took a look in partbuilder, everything looks fine.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Not Reading Pressure Pipe Catalog
Feb 8, 2013I just recently had to do a clean install on Civil 3D 2013 to fix a different problem but now I am having issues with the pressure pipe catalogs. I used to be able to open and use all three that are available, push on, mechanical, and flanged. I made sure that my support paths are mapped to the correct folders but now when I open my design file I find that the mechanical and flanged catalogs are greyed out. When I try to edit the part catalog I get a warning message saying that the catalog is not available. See the attachment. I know the catalogs are there as I have created parts and added them to these catalogs. It almost looks like it is mapping to the metric folder which only has the push on catalog.

Nov 8, 2013I think this question should be so easy to answer, that I am feeling a bit foolish for asking, but here goes. I am trying to set my pressure pipe catalog, but when I browse to C:ProgramDataAutodeskC3D 2014enuPressure Pipes Catalog and hit open, I get a dialogue that states "There are no Pressure Network Catalogs in this folder". I have tried selecting folders farther down the list (Imperial, Imperial_AWWA_Flanged, etc) with no success. I have opened the sqlite files using the Content Editor, and I can see all the parts and sizes there. I just can't figure out how to open the catalog from Civil 3D.

Apr 18, 2013We previously switched from 2010 to 2012, i transferred our pipe catalog with custom pipes. I though i did it right, but when i started editing pipes that were started in 2010 the pipe sizes were automatically changing to the wrong size after edit.
We are about to upgrade from c3d 2012 to 2013, i don't want this to happen again. proper way to transfer our customized pipe catalog?

Nov 22, 2013I copied the pressure pipe catalogs to our local network and in C3D 2014 set the catalog to the network location.
When I close C3D and reopen, it reverts back to the original catalog location on my C drive.
Setting a different location for regular pipe networks works fine.
Is there something I'm missing or does this method not work for pressure networks.

Apr 4, 2012C3D 2013. I am trying to determine how do add additional content to the parts library.
I have explored the Content Catalog Editor and have been able to add new pipe materials, but it appears that the only way that I can import a part is with a .CONTENT file. Is there any documentation on how this file is supposed to be configured or created? Is there any documentation on the Content Catalog Editor in general? We need to be able to add new pipe, fittings, valves, appurtenances in order to make this new feature usable in a production environment.

Sep 17, 2011I have changed some pipe sizes in Vistas (pipe network edit), the object sizes are changed in plan & profile views except the pipe sizes in label, it appears the same sizes as before.
I tried to re apply the labels in entire plan & profile, still be the same.

Aug 30, 2012I have a pipe network that I am showing in a drainage plan. I want to show the Structure table in paper space. It seems I can only creaate the table in model spcae. I'm ok with that. I made a viewport in my paper space tab to see the table but it keps scaling to full size regardless of what the viewport scale is set to. The table is too big to fit in my drawing. I tried making a smaller viewport but the table keeps scaling to be actuall paper size. How can i get it to stop scaling so I can shrink it to fit on my sheet?
If Civil3D can't do it can I export the tbale to a data linked Spread Sheet then import that (and link it) to my paper space tab so that I can control the size of the table?

I end up tracing the pipe with eliptical objects where I'm cutting across the pipe and setting up more for the lengthwise/sideview of the pipe. AutoCAD Inventor :: 3D Printing Size Does Not Match
Apr 1, 2013I created a small object using Inventor 2013.
The base of this object is just a cylinder with diameter of 3.599 mm. (see attached image M1).
Now I wanted to 3D print this object. Inventor creates the *.STL-file.
The Inventor 3D print dialog shows a witdh and length of arround 4.12 mm by a scaling of 1.000 !?!
Why it is bigger than what I created? It should be 3.6 mm.
If I upload this to shapeways they show also 0.4 cm width / length. So my object will printed a littlebit larger than I created !?!
Even if I change the resolution inside the STL-dialog it does not change anything. Why the STL-Object is bigger than the model I created?
AutoCAD 2010 :: Paper Size To Match Window
Aug 19, 2012When creating PDFs/PNGs to watch on a computer, it doesn't make sense to use standard paper sizes. The reason is that usually the plotted window does not fill both width and height and there are big white margins inthe produced file.
So my question is, how can I easily create a paper size to match a selected window (or layout) at a certain scale?
AutoCad :: How To Change Units To Match Actual Desired Size
Mar 13, 2012I've received a dwg file from someone and I want to print it at scale 1:50 on A0 paper. However, I'm struggling creating the right scale.
My problem starts with the fact that measuring lines in the diagram does not produce values that match the actual size. E.g., I have a wall of size 390, but measuring it shows 621.
Is there any way to change the units to match the actual desired size?
Then, I find it tricky to create the right scale for printing (people will get the paper and use a ruler to measure distances, so accurate scale is important). If I cannot change the units, I guess I need a different scale than 1mm=50units. So I tried 1mm=8units, because 7.8mm should measure as 390cm in 1:50 ruler. But this is not very accurate.

2.I am using a Sanyo Video Camcorder PD2, which I am recording in 1280 x 720 29.97 frames per second.
3.I’ve imported the video, into the program, and I am simply trying to “join” the video by using step three that is “Share.”
4.I am clicking option “create video file” and then the option “same as first video clip” because I would like to preserve the same video settings. There are other ways I could join the clips, but these ways do not preserve the video settings. So when I choose “same as first video clip I get my error message “The frame size of the video (1280 x 720) does not match the settings and therefore cannot be trimmed.’
