When I go to burn a disc I get "The burner is busy for another application". If I restart the computer it works fine, but it is annoying having to do that. Videostudio 11 didn't do that.

Projects do not finish burning to DVD. After I have finished editing my video I try to create disc using DVD format. Project completes video rendering but doesn¡¦t complete writing to disc. It stops half way. Then a message pops up saying ¡§The burner is busy for another application.¡¨ I press ok and another message comes up: ¡§The drive is busy or is being used by other applications. Please make sure the drive is ready, close all applications that may be using the drive (including folder windows), and try again. [534:-2147216300:0]¡¨

I have made sure no applications are open and the drive works fine with other software. I have included Print Screen shots of when I encounter the problem.
Why does the wizard say the burner is busy for another application every time I click the burn icon. How do I get the thing to burn a project!
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to burn DVDs, I am getting "The burner is busy with other applications" I dont currently have any other applications using the E drive. I did use it previously to Lightscribe several discs but quit that program.
Is there something in the system tray that I need to delete as a project not completed? I do not know how to clear out this problem. Maybe something not finished from Lightscribe?
I have a problem with VS X3 due to the fact that the burner crashes. I have made some DVDs with it previously. I have loaded VS X4 trial version and that will burn the DVD. I do not feel that I should buy the new version just to get the burner. The error message is:

I am using the trial version of vx4. All is ok until I go to the create dvd page. The burner drive has no device listed. Create to disc is shaded out. I am able to burn discs with other programs.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using VideoStudio 4 for about a year, then upgraded to 5 Ultimate last week. Was in the middle of a project when I upgraded, and decided to burn a DVD last night.
DVD burner is in use for another program error (or something like that)
I've never had this error in my life, and I've been using the same laptop for about 3 years, with 2 or 3 versions of VideoStudio.
Should I just uninstall 5? Or can I "restore" my computer back to two weeks ago?
The file I was working on, I also saved as a VideoStudio 4 file in case 5 doesn't work.
I didn't uninstall 4 before loading 5. I tried to uninstall 4 last night, but it didn't uninstall all the way. Maybe if I reload 4, then uninstall it?
I can't think of any programs that use the burner that I use on that machine either.
I really need to make a DVD by saturday--it's my fiancee's bridal shower. The one I tried to make last night was to test it and make sure it worked on my future sister-in-law's TV before the shower. But that didn't happen unfortunately.
I'm trying to run the trial version of VS Pro X4 after picking up a disc at Focus on Imaging at the NEC in Birmingham. I've trioed installing it on two different PCs and get the following message on both: Cannot Initialize Application Invalid Parameter [16345:1:1] [15034:1:32]
I was very impressed with the demo at the NEC and am keen to buy, but not if it's going to misbehave.
I've been using this product for a few weeks and this morning it stopped working. Searched the forums, applied all of the fixes. Manually uninstalled, re-downloaded, reinstalled and still crashing on application loading. 6 hours of pure frustration. Never had an issue with X4. before I completely uninstall and purchase a new video editor?

When I close and reopen Studio X4 the library does not contain any media (photo, video, audio). Library exports and imports no luck. It looks as if start Studio the library is reset. A smart package no luck too.
Deleting C:Documents and settings....Ulead SystemsCorel Videostudio Pro14.0pl-PL no luck.
The problem is so serious that adding a HD video again- new proxy file is created- it takes a long time. The old proxy file is correct, but in proxy manager is absent.

Get error msg "Screen resolution size is not sufficient to launch the application"
Screen resolution is currently set at 1366 x 768 which is "recommended" I have reset resolution and restarted with each attempt at changing resolution... still get message..
Not a happy camper... Seems they should be sophisticated enough to check that system is set properly.... and if not, to give information on how to correct.
I have Corel VideoStudio X6 and am experiencing a relink problem. I moved all my media (pics and vid) from c:HomeMediaFiles to d:MediaFiles. I open VS and relink to the new location.
I noticed it didn't relink properly, I have videos with the same name in different directories. In the end it linked to the incorrect video.So, here's my question:
Is there a master file the VideoStudio application uses to reference video locations? I would assume it’s the library and I was hoping I could possibly open the file (with notepad or something) 'find and replace' c:HomeMediaFiles to d:MediaFiles and avoid the relinking through the interface.
I reloaded my library so I still have everything with the old references after I tried to relink through the UI. Good thing I backup regularly.
Downloaded X4 upgrade. When trying to install it fails with the message "The installed version of the application could not be determined".
View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed that when I am making small brush strokes or just cliking around with simple tools in CS4, that right after I'm done making the stroke, the busy symbol pops up for a second. Even if I don't really change any data and just click in photoshop, the busy symbol on my mouse will flash for just split second. I'm not sure if it's always been like that and I never noticed, or if it's a new thing. It's really annoying when I am making a whole bunch of tiny strokes on some photos, and it keeps poping up real quick even when the stress of of what I'm doing is comparibly nothing for the power of my computer. Does anyone else have this issue or know of ways to get rid of your mouse showing that busy signal so much?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI Just bought a new HP laptop and it came with Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 pre installed. When I go to open the program I get the error message 'Cannot initialize application. The screen resolution is too small to play the video. The screen resolution must be set to at least 1024 x 768". Well the screen res is on 1600 x 900, so i thought i would have that covered. I tried changing the screen res to 1024x768 and get the same message.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is all on a single PC. If backburner is half way through a job (like frame 30 out of 300) and the PC reboots, it will start over at from 0. If it completes, it will make that and not restart a completed job. I have also seen is restart suspended jobs on a reboot too. This is all on Windows 7.

My downloader does not open at all when camera is connected or dows the downloader icon show up at the bottom right as before. If I go into the photoshop menu and click get photos from camera, it says camera is busy or not connected. When I first mentioned my problem someone said to download a certain service patch which I did. All that did was make the icon for the downloader go away and not it will not open at all. Is this all because of windows 8? I had XP before. If the elements 5 will not work on new window 8, then I should just get rid of it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to 2013 and have noticed that when using the dropdown layer control in the classic layer toolbar the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to the blue spinning circle to indicate its busy.
Why? and is there any way to fix this. You can still turn layers on and off and it reacts normally otherwise but it does make it harder to select the little lightbulb and freeze icons on the left.
Never happened in 2012 always happens in 2013.
Any method in GIMP that can be used for cutting out flowing "Blonde" hair from a Multicoloured background using the "Channels". It seems that it can be done using Photoshop, but there do not seem to be any tutorials around for GIMP. There are heaps for cutting out dark coloured hair from all sorts of backgrounds but nothing to cut out flowing blonde hair from a multicoloured background.
