I am using the trial version of vx4. All is ok until I go to the create dvd page. The burner drive has no device listed. Create to disc is shaded out. I am able to burn discs with other programs.
View 5 RepliesI have a problem with VS X3 due to the fact that the burner crashes. I have made some DVDs with it previously. I have loaded VS X4 trial version and that will burn the DVD. I do not feel that I should buy the new version just to get the burner. The error message is:

When I go to burn a disc I get "The burner is busy for another application". If I restart the computer it works fine, but it is annoying having to do that. Videostudio 11 didn't do that.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was using VideoStudio 4 for about a year, then upgraded to 5 Ultimate last week. Was in the middle of a project when I upgraded, and decided to burn a DVD last night.
DVD burner is in use for another program error (or something like that)
I've never had this error in my life, and I've been using the same laptop for about 3 years, with 2 or 3 versions of VideoStudio.
Should I just uninstall 5? Or can I "restore" my computer back to two weeks ago?
The file I was working on, I also saved as a VideoStudio 4 file in case 5 doesn't work.
I didn't uninstall 4 before loading 5. I tried to uninstall 4 last night, but it didn't uninstall all the way. Maybe if I reload 4, then uninstall it?
I can't think of any programs that use the burner that I use on that machine either.
I really need to make a DVD by saturday--it's my fiancee's bridal shower. The one I tried to make last night was to test it and make sure it worked on my future sister-in-law's TV before the shower. But that didn't happen unfortunately.
Why does the wizard say the burner is busy for another application every time I click the burn icon. How do I get the thing to burn a project!
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to burn DVDs, I am getting "The burner is busy with other applications" I dont currently have any other applications using the E drive. I did use it previously to Lightscribe several discs but quit that program.
Is there something in the system tray that I need to delete as a project not completed? I do not know how to clear out this problem. Maybe something not finished from Lightscribe?
Projects do not finish burning to DVD. After I have finished editing my video I try to create disc using DVD format. Project completes video rendering but doesn¡¦t complete writing to disc. It stops half way. Then a message pops up saying ¡§The burner is busy for another application.¡¨ I press ok and another message comes up: ¡§The drive is busy or is being used by other applications. Please make sure the drive is ready, close all applications that may be using the drive (including folder windows), and try again. [534:-2147216300:0]¡¨

I have made sure no applications are open and the drive works fine with other software. I have included Print Screen shots of when I encounter the problem.
I usually download my DV tape from the Panasonic analog camcorder to my JVC DVD recorder. However, I wanted to try downloading from the cam to the PC. I connected the cam to the PC and started VS Pro X3. When I click on "source" I get the message: No video device driver installed or device is not connected. The device (cam) is connected and the 1394 port is wrong properly. Then the video driver is needed. Where do I get this from-do I need to reinstall VS?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI currently have a Sony HDR-CX160 camcorder, which does not have a firewire port. I also have a 3 month Dell XPS8500, which does not have a firewire port. I am running Windows 7 64bit. When I hook up my camcorder via USB, Windows DOES recoginize it. It is not recognized by Corel, not in the Capture Video, Import form Digital Media,, Import from Mobile Device or Stop Motion. (my webcam does show up) It does not show up in the pull down tree. I understand that you can use Windows Movie Maker, or the supplied Sony PMB software to download it, but I paid for Corel to be able to do this. Why I would like Corel to be able to do this is that you need a"live" camera to be able to use the Stop Motion Capture, not something that has been recorded before.

The camcorder is a Panasonic HDC-SDT750 and it connects to my computer without problem and is recognised by Windows (7) MY Computer is a Hewlett Packard S5206, Windows 7 64 bit.
I am using VSX5 and have downloaded the latest version of Hewlett Packard's video drivers and the latest version of Direct X.
On my trial version of ProX5, when I went to use the DVD label burn feature, I complete the label, when it asks me to save it I do with a file name but my new text and image aren't saved when I look at it again within the project and after I save the DVD label it shows as a .UPL file that Windows 7 does not recognize.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop Dell Latitude E5420 is not recognising my camcorder. I tried with two of my mini DV camcorders, both of them are not recognised. When I connect through the IEEE1394 port on the laptop, it doesn't respond at all. In UL VS or any other video capture programs, the camcorder is not recognised, but only my laptop built in web camera is recognised.
Tried with changing IEEEE1394 host controller with Legacy in the Device Manager, but doesn't work.
The 720p avi files on my toshiba camileo s20 are not recognized by my VS pro x2. VS will not capture them either from the camera or from the sd card. It does recognize the files on the sd card and shows a thumbnail, but when I try to capture them it says it cannot do so.
I can capture the files using windows 7 moviemaker but the avi files are still not recognized by vs even though windows movie maker has no trouble with them and treats them like any avi file. I have made a dvd with windows mm using those files.
VS does handle sd avi files from my JVC camcorder but no joy with the Toshiba. I have both the 1 and 2 updates for vs x2.
I want to download GIMP AND make a Donation. First I would like toknow if GIMP has an image background burner? I am not too savvy about computers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is all on a single PC. If backburner is half way through a job (like frame 30 out of 300) and the PC reboots, it will start over at from 0. If it completes, it will make that and not restart a completed job. I have also seen is restart suspended jobs on a reboot too. This is all on Windows 7.

I recovered some 600 jpg files inadvertently erased from a flash card, but they all have the extension THM. Since THM is not recognized by PS CS3 nor by Bridge, I can't Batch Rename them to show jpg extensions. It will take me 2-3 hours to rename them one-by-one.

Even in Customise UI, I cannot get the "Delete" to appear in the Hotkey field to assign the correct action. I have had to assign "Home" (which on my keyboard is directly above the Delete button) just so I can have the ability to delete objects without having to resort to the Edit>Delete menu.
I have a problem with 2.8 JPG and PNG files.
I have a Brother MFC-J835DW inkjet printer with an SD slot to read files to print. It will NOT read any JPG or PNG file created with Gimp 2.8.x. The thumbnails show up as a square with a "?" on it. I have 2.8.10 on a Win7 desktop and 2.8.4 on a Linux machine. My Win7 laptop has 2.6.11 and those files work fine. The win7 desktop had 2.6.11 before the (up?)grade and those files were fine too. The Linux machine had 2.6.x at one time and those files also worked fine.
When opening an CS6 Illustrator file, certain fonts are not recognized – any pointers? Font Book confirms the fonts are "installed" with no compat issues. Wondering why CS6 doesn't see/sniff out the fonts.

Try this:Select "Rectangular Marquee" tool, using the tool panel.Move cursor over document and click-n-drag. The tool does not work. It must be clicked a second time to work. When selecting the tool using the keyboard shortcut, this does not happen.
My 128 Patriot Flash drive is not seen as potential scratch disk by CS5. I reformatted it as exFAT and then as NTFS but still not seen by CS5.
