Aug 2, 2013Why does the wizard say the burner is busy for another application every time I click the burn icon. How do I get the thing to burn a project!

Jan 28, 2013When I go to burn a disc I get "The burner is busy for another application". If I restart the computer it works fine, but it is annoying having to do that. Videostudio 11 didn't do that.

Dec 27, 2011When trying to burn DVDs, I am getting "The burner is busy with other applications" I dont currently have any other applications using the E drive. I did use it previously to Lightscribe several discs but quit that program.
Is there something in the system tray that I need to delete as a project not completed? I do not know how to clear out this problem. Maybe something not finished from Lightscribe?

Dec 29, 2008Projects do not finish burning to DVD. After I have finished editing my video I try to create disc using DVD format. Project completes video rendering but doesn¡¦t complete writing to disc. It stops half way. Then a message pops up saying ¡§The burner is busy for another application.¡¨ I press ok and another message comes up: ¡§The drive is busy or is being used by other applications. Please make sure the drive is ready, close all applications that may be using the drive (including folder windows), and try again. [534:-2147216300:0]¡¨
Drive: External drive Samsung SE-S204S USB CDDVDW
Video Studio 11 Plus
I have made sure no applications are open and the drive works fine with other software. I have included Print Screen shots of when I encounter the problem.

Jan 22, 2012I have a problem with VS X3 due to the fact that the burner crashes. I have made some DVDs with it previously. I have loaded VS X4 trial version and that will burn the DVD. I do not feel that I should buy the new version just to get the burner. The error message is:

Apr 18, 2011I am using the trial version of vx4. All is ok until I go to the create dvd page. The burner drive has no device listed. Create to disc is shaded out. I am able to burn discs with other programs.

Aug 21, 2012I was using VideoStudio 4 for about a year, then upgraded to 5 Ultimate last week. Was in the middle of a project when I upgraded, and decided to burn a DVD last night.
DVD burner is in use for another program error (or something like that)
I've never had this error in my life, and I've been using the same laptop for about 3 years, with 2 or 3 versions of VideoStudio.
Should I just uninstall 5? Or can I "restore" my computer back to two weeks ago?
The file I was working on, I also saved as a VideoStudio 4 file in case 5 doesn't work.
I didn't uninstall 4 before loading 5. I tried to uninstall 4 last night, but it didn't uninstall all the way. Maybe if I reload 4, then uninstall it?
I can't think of any programs that use the burner that I use on that machine either.
I really need to make a DVD by saturday--it's my fiancee's bridal shower. The one I tried to make last night was to test it and make sure it worked on my future sister-in-law's TV before the shower. But that didn't happen unfortunately.
VideoStudio :: Previous And Next Buttons Not Showing In Create DVD Wizard?
Dec 18, 2010Using Ulead Video Studio 10.0.0110 0 SE DVD.
Using this tool I wish to create a DVD with a stored project file(vsp). using the Studio Editor/tools/CreateDisc option. I then have problems with subsequent screens because the Previous/Next buttons do not display as per the documentation. Therefore I am unable to go backwards and forwards throught the wizard steps. I have attached screenshots.
I am running Window 7 64 bit Home premium. In other ways the software appears to work fine.
In an attempt to resolve the problem I have attempted to run the service pack 1 dated 2007-01-15. However this refuses to run stating that Video Studio is not installed.

Jun 30, 2013My computer crashed and had to reinstall everything, well almost everything, still re-installing. The issue that I am having is the Instant Project-Wizard button/icon, that is suppose to be located above the Timeline is not being displayed. This applies to both programs, VideoStudio X4 & X5 versions.

Jul 7, 2009I recently noticed that when I am making small brush strokes or just cliking around with simple tools in CS4, that right after I'm done making the stroke, the busy symbol pops up for a second. Even if I don't really change any data and just click in photoshop, the busy symbol on my mouse will flash for just split second. I'm not sure if it's always been like that and I never noticed, or if it's a new thing. It's really annoying when I am making a whole bunch of tiny strokes on some photos, and it keeps poping up real quick even when the stress of of what I'm doing is comparibly nothing for the power of my computer. Does anyone else have this issue or know of ways to get rid of your mouse showing that busy signal so much?

Feb 6, 2013This is all on a single PC. If backburner is half way through a job (like frame 30 out of 300) and the PC reboots, it will start over at from 0. If it completes, it will make that and not restart a completed job. I have also seen is restart suspended jobs on a reboot too. This is all on Windows 7.

Mar 25, 2013I have elements 5 and a new windows 8 computer. My downloader does not open at all when camera is connected or dows the downloader icon show up at the bottom right as before. If I go into the photoshop menu and click get photos from camera, it says camera is busy or not connected. When I first mentioned my problem someone said to download a certain service patch which I did. All that did was make the icon for the downloader go away and not it will not open at all. Is this all because of windows 8? I had XP before. If the elements 5 will not work on new window 8, then I should just get rid of it.

Jul 4, 2012I just upgraded to 2013 and have noticed that when using the dropdown layer control in the classic layer toolbar the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to the blue spinning circle to indicate its busy.
Why? and is there any way to fix this. You can still turn layers on and off and it reacts normally otherwise but it does make it harder to select the little lightbulb and freeze icons on the left.
Never happened in 2012 always happens in 2013.

Aug 2, 2012Any method in GIMP that can be used for cutting out flowing "Blonde" hair from a Multicoloured background using the "Channels". It seems that it can be done using Photoshop, but there do not seem to be any tutorials around for GIMP. There are heaps for cutting out dark coloured hair from all sorts of backgrounds but nothing to cut out flowing blonde hair from a multicoloured background.

Sep 20, 2006I have a jpeg file and am trying to get a transparent background in photoshop. I have been using the wizard in the help menu. This asks you to select the area which you want to make transparent and then saves it for you in an eps format.
So I have been selecting the area with the magic wand and deleting the area to get a flat background. Then I select the whole background with the same tool and goto help, wizard etc.
I then go to Corel Draw and go to the import file and put it into my worksheet and it comes up as a grey square saying photoshop blah blah blah - or something probably a bit more technical but I'm on a different computer now so i'm not exactly sure what it says!
I know Corel isn't everyone's best friend here, but does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.
Photoshop :: The Wizard Hijacked My Importing...
May 2, 2008I have CS3 and Vista.
Today I happened to attach my laptop to my scanner after Photoshop was already running. Maybe this made the difference.
When I used the "import" function to scan and photo, a new "wizard" appeared. There were two screens (I think) before I got to the usual scanning/importing screen.
There was a box to check so that the image would open in Photoshop. This did not happen. Instead, the photo was saved as a .bmp file in a "destination folder."
Where did this stupid wizard come from, and why doesn't it want to open my photo in Photoshop once I've scanned it? How do I tell it NOT to put the photo in a folder?

Paint Shop Pro :: X3 Installation Wizard Hangs?
Dec 29, 2010I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 with Vista Home Premium with SP2. I have the new Paintshop Photo Pro X3. I attempted to install from the CD and the initial banner loads with the three installs (Painshop Photo Pro X3, Paintshop Photo Project Creator, and Painter Photo Essentials 4). Clicking on any of the 3 installs the Installation Wizard starts up with a progress bar and the text "Please wait". Then the progress bar disappears and nothing happens. The installation window is now just black with no text or options and only Cancel button shows. There is an inactive "Next" button. The installation process just stops or hangs.
I did install on my other PC loaded with Windows 7 and all the programs installed perfectly. I have attempted more than 10 times on the other machine with the same hanging results.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Unable To Use Add-a-plotter Wizard

The DRC files are in the DRVen-US directory, and is in my drivers search path. I have even changed the order of the search path to place that directory first, but no joy.

Oct 1, 2012I'm having some trouble with .fbk files disappearing after I import them. I'm sure I am missing a setting somewhere but I don't know where. I have a (slightly clunky) workaround on setting things up correctly.
We went straight from LDD 08 to Civil 3d 13 so it is a bit of a learning curve.
I am trying to use Civil 3d 2013 with Trimble Link. My procedure is to download the file with trimble link and then follow the wizard from there. My .fbk imports fine, but if I need to edit anything I find that it is missing from the folder that I just imported it from.
If I copy and rename the .fbk prior to importing it I can import and edit the re-named file no problem, it just seems to be the initial import done by the wizard that deletes the file.
