AutoCAD 2013 :: Associating Drawing To Project Error
Aug 27, 2013I have created a new data shortcut project folder, i have the data shortcut set to the drive & the correct project, yet i cannot associate the drawing to the project. Even when I do attempt to set it to the correct project, it will not register. I have tried the "associate current dwg to project", as well as the "associate multiple dwgs to projec"t, yet it will not recognize it at the top of the screen.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Opening Drawing Every Time
May 15, 2012I get an error every time I open any drawing after it has been saved in 2013. Opening a dwg that was created in an earlier version does not give the error, but after I save it in 2013, it does.
If I create a new dwg in 2013, save it, close it and then open it I don't get the error the first time. But then if I save that dwg again, I will get it the next time I open it.
The exact error is:
One error was found in the drawing file during open. Would you like to cancel this open?It is recommended you cancel the open and run the RECOVER command on the drawing file.
I run the recover command. It says it found, fixed, and erased 1 error. I save, close, and reopen the drawing and the error still appears every time.

Users using Windows 7 -64bit with Architecture 2014
Mapped drives are used for both site to access NAS, but use different drive letters.
At one point working the projects, users starting getting fatal errors opening from the share. All attempts to get past this failed and I thought the drawing or base files were corrrupt. However, when the files are moved locally to workstation and opened without issue. The users in one office are now working off this files using UNC \serverproject...
The interesting thing, is that users in the other office have no issues dealing with these drawings using on the NAS. The only difference is the WAN and drive mapping letter. This is how they have always worked and never had this issue. The only other thing I will add is they upgraded from 2010 two months ago, but no problems with any other projects.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: 2014 To 2013 Causes FATAL ERROR When Drawing Has Infill Grading
May 23, 2013We just installed 2014 on two work stations and saved a few Civil 3D files with it. When we try to open these Civil 3D drawings in 2013 they crash with a FATAL ERROR.
The last few lines on the command line shows: Loading Modeler DLLs.
Modeling Operation Error: Operation unsuccessful.
Modeling Operation Error: Operation unsuccessful.
This error seems to only happen with drawings that have infill grading. I tested it with a drawing with just poly lines and it worked fine. I then converted those poly lines into feature lines using 2014 and it opened fine in 2013. I then added an infill to the feature line region in 2014 and it crashes in 2013.

AutoCAD LT :: Layer Dropdown Menu Cursor Busy
Jul 4, 2012I just upgraded to 2013 and have noticed that when using the dropdown layer control in the classic layer toolbar the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to the blue spinning circle to indicate its busy.
Why? and is there any way to fix this. You can still turn layers on and off and it reacts normally otherwise but it does make it harder to select the little lightbulb and freeze icons on the left.
Never happened in 2012 always happens in 2013.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Error Opening Assembly On 32bit 2013 That Was Created On 64Bit 2013
Oct 2, 2012I have an assembly that was created on 64 bit version of Inventor 2013, the total file size of everything is around 150MB. Even if I use 'Pack and Go' to move the file to another computer running the 32 bit version I get an error when I try to open it which says something like:
'unable to allocate 3GB memory for FBAttributeSegment'
The actually figure is over 3GB but of course on a 32 bit version of windows it is physically impossible to allocate that amount of memory (even with the /3GB in boot.ini hack)
I've performed various dynamic simulations as well as animations within the assembly so I'm thinking that perhaps its trying to allocate that huge amount of memory for a saved state of one of those.
What FBAtributeSegment might be and whether there is any special way to save an assembly to avoid this problem? The name FBAttributeSegment doesn't correspond to any part or assembly names.
I should also add that I have no problem opening it in a 32 bit version of Fusion which again suggests to me that it is something like simulation or animation that is causing this

Jul 7, 2009I recently noticed that when I am making small brush strokes or just cliking around with simple tools in CS4, that right after I'm done making the stroke, the busy symbol pops up for a second. Even if I don't really change any data and just click in photoshop, the busy symbol on my mouse will flash for just split second. I'm not sure if it's always been like that and I never noticed, or if it's a new thing. It's really annoying when I am making a whole bunch of tiny strokes on some photos, and it keeps poping up real quick even when the stress of of what I'm doing is comparibly nothing for the power of my computer. Does anyone else have this issue or know of ways to get rid of your mouse showing that busy signal so much?

Now today any drawing that opens shows the plan view as last saved but then after loading takes the drawing and shifts it into a 3d view similar to a crossection. Is there a setting somewhere that has been changed? I noticed after a windows 7 update was preformed.

Apr 17, 2013I have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?

Nov 21, 2013I recently added 2 monitors to my set up to bring my total to 3. I am trying to figure out the best way to work on one drawing, with 2 differant veiws on each of the 2 main screens.
I would like my main screen to have the plan view and the second monitor to have an isometric veiw (or whatever I need at the time) of the same drawing. Is there a way to have the same drawing opened up in another window, in one session of Autocad 2013. One on the main screen and one on the secondary.

Nov 14, 2012As many of us seam to do the option to save by default to an older version of AutoCAD or universal DXF format is selected, my problem is however when you save an existing drawing a prompt appears asking if 'Drawing*.dxf last saved in AutoCAD 2004 format. Save in AutoCAD 2013 Drawing format?' this has annoyed me for years!
I have set it as default DXF 2014 for a good reason I don’t want a prompt asking me if I want to then save it as 2013 or I would have set it like that on my default setting, gets on your nerves when you are doing 100's of files.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Error When Opening 2013 DWG
Aug 30, 2012Now that we have switched most of our users over to 2013, we are receiving this error - only randomly, not on most drawings - but until it is resolved, we cannot batch plot, publish, because it dumps the plot. Here's a clip of the error we're receiving. When I run a Recover, it doesn't resolve the issue.

Dec 27, 2011When trying to burn DVDs, I am getting "The burner is busy with other applications" I dont currently have any other applications using the E drive. I did use it previously to Lightscribe several discs but quit that program.
Is there something in the system tray that I need to delete as a project not completed? I do not know how to clear out this problem. Maybe something not finished from Lightscribe?
Photoshop Elements :: Camera Is Busy Or Not Connected
Mar 25, 2013I have elements 5 and a new windows 8 computer. My downloader does not open at all when camera is connected or dows the downloader icon show up at the bottom right as before. If I go into the photoshop menu and click get photos from camera, it says camera is busy or not connected. When I first mentioned my problem someone said to download a certain service patch which I did. All that did was make the icon for the downloader go away and not it will not open at all. Is this all because of windows 8? I had XP before. If the elements 5 will not work on new window 8, then I should just get rid of it.

Project completes video rendering but doesn¡¦t complete writing to disc. It stops half way. Then a message pops up saying ¡§The burner is busy for another application.¡¨ I press ok and another message comes up: ¡§The drive is busy or is being used by other applications. It seems that it can be done using Photoshop, but there do not seem to be any tutorials around for GIMP. There are heaps for cutting out dark coloured hair from all sorts of backgrounds but nothing to cut out flowing blonde hair from a multicoloured background.

AutoCAD LT :: Display Error During Drawing
Aug 1, 2012I get a display error during the execution of some of the commands used in AutocadLT with Windows 7. It occurs when I choose a command along the bottom of the display area just above the command window (offset seems to be the worst offender. As soon as I choose the command, the computer locks up for a second or two then the screen goes black. Most of the time it will come back with a white screen in the rawing area and I will have to use the regen command to continue editing. it will sometimes do this numerous times before I can complete the command. (offset).
The error displayed from the task bar is:
Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding adn has successfully recovered.

When I load a different drawing I don't have the problem.
