i get the following error msg "an autodesk product failed to send the required value for UPITOKEN. the error report sent to autodesk may be incomplete." and then another one also come "FATAL ERROR: unhandled e06d7363h exception at 75b19617h". then finally close.

When I open a file in Inventor 2013 I get the error message "cannot open XML file" for 20 or more files.(See attachment) This has only been an issue since 2013 was installed. What do I need to do to correct this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly that was created on 64 bit version of Inventor 2013, the total file size of everything is around 150MB. Even if I use 'Pack and Go' to move the file to another computer running the 32 bit version I get an error when I try to open it which says something like:
'unable to allocate 3GB memory for FBAttributeSegment'
The actually figure is over 3GB but of course on a 32 bit version of windows it is physically impossible to allocate that amount of memory (even with the /3GB in boot.ini hack)
I've performed various dynamic simulations as well as animations within the assembly so I'm thinking that perhaps its trying to allocate that huge amount of memory for a saved state of one of those.
What FBAtributeSegment might be and whether there is any special way to save an assembly to avoid this problem? The name FBAttributeSegment doesn't correspond to any part or assembly names.
I should also add that I have no problem opening it in a 32 bit version of Fusion which again suggests to me that it is something like simulation or animation that is causing this
why when i want to import file sketchup by type "IMPORTSKP" in commadline box, i can't import file sketchup into autocad because AutoCad Error Aborting and fatal error, and after that my autocad suddenly closed by it self, so i can't use my auto cad.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just updated my computer with the latest and greatest parts and was excited to open Revit 2013 and try it out. I installed it last night and tried to open it. The splash screen appears for a second and then closes. On the first try, a yellow triangle with an exclamation popped up, it hasn't happened since. I fixed the registry with MS fix it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled it.
I read that it was not compatible with hyperthreading 8 core CPUs. I don't think this is the issue, because I do not have a 8 core CPU. I have a i7 3.5 Quad Core with Hyperthreading, 16 gigs RAM, 1 gig Graphics Card, and a Solid State Drive.
Autocad MEP 2013 was working fine until I installed SP1 yesterday.
Now when type in open the dialog comes up (not a filedia issue). When I click the "look in" pull-down in the open dialog it goes blank and I am unable to browse any folders. I've tried rebooting.. Should I reinstall?
Now that we have switched most of our users over to 2013, we are receiving this error - only randomly, not on most drawings - but until it is resolved, we cannot batch plot, publish, because it dumps the plot. Here's a clip of the error we're receiving. When I run a Recover, it doesn't resolve the issue.

View 2 Replies View Relatedso i recently started taking an architect autocad class. our first project was nothing special but for some reason whenever i save it on my removeable usb after working on it at home, it wont open on the schools computer. it doesnt open as the specific file i wanted, but instead it opens up a blank file named drawing1.dwg. the file name does not even come up at the top of the screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a drawing set that has many large xrefs, including dwgs that are from civil engineers working in civil 3d, that the engineers convert when they send us the files. The problem I am having is that the drawings won't open unless I 'hide' an xref, so it does not find it. If I do this, the drawings open, but the obvious problem this creates is that there is missing information. This is workable while the drawings are not being submitted / are for in office only. But soon we need to have all the information present / showing for submissions. The other issue is that I cannot reload xrefs in this drawing set, the program freezes, so I have to force quit or close the drawing and reopen to have reload the changed xref.
The set of drawings I am working in are around 14 MB or so each, but the xrefs there are about 10 range from 10 MB to 25 MB each. All the xrefs have been purged, audited and pared down to the smallest size possible, and all are necessary for the drawings.
I'm getting a fatal error everytime I click on the hatch command on the home ribbon and then just press ESC before I do anything. This happens on command.. everytime. AutoCAD LT 2013 to see if they also get the same error.

A consultant working in PowerCADD 2000 sent me a DXF converted file. I have tried opening it in all CAD versions with no success.
I attempted converting it in word to txt file and then back to DXF but still no luck.
I am trying to edit a description of a block and by following what is in the help it gives me an error. See attached jpeg for error message.

Cannot find the resource string number 21517 in resource AecXBase70.
It lists about a dozen different string numbers.

1. I can't change my page setup in layout view its showing me strange window where i can't click and do any changes.
2. when I'm trying to scale my drw in 1:10 my page is A1 size its scales way to big so it doesn't fit the page.
I have a user with AutoCAD 2013 installed on his work laptop. It is a Dell with Windows 7 64-bit. We don't have local IT any more and he was having problems with the computer, which is only 6 months old, so he had to send it from Michigan to Massachusettes, where our Global IT resides.
They "Imaged" the hard drive, installed a new hard drive and put the "Image" on the new hard drive. and sent it back without making sure things worked.
Now when he starts AutoCAD 2013 (vanillia), the Splash screen comes up and then he gets a Fatal Error. I have attached a capture of the error.
When he first got it back there were no drivers installed for his nVidia Quadro 1000M card, so he could not use his 2nd monitor. He found the driver and installed it and now he can use the 2nd monitor, but still had the problem with AutoCAD.
I'm using AutoCAD 2013 and I get a fatal error when it pulls up a print preview. If I have "Publish in Backgound" selected it proceeds to print. The error only appears to exisit when it pulling up the print preview. I have installed sp 1.1. I've repaired and reinstalled also. My AutoCAD 2012 is publishing fine.

I've been advised to use the IMPORT command but this hasn't worked either, just provides me with the pop up saying only V7 & V8 are supported, see screen shot below.
Do I need to purchase a specific piece of software (plug in) to allow me to open the file?
When opening the a .dwg file in autodesk I am prompted with a message telling me that this DWG file was saved by an application that was not developed or licenced by Autodesk. What would you like to do? I say continue opening the drawing. Next the drawing opens but another message appear Proxy Information.

You do not need the original application to display proxy representations of objects that were saved in the drawing. However, many manufacturers including Autodesk, provide object enablers that also allow you to edit these custom objects. I believe the drawing has come from a Pro E environment. The file has been attached.
I've just upgraded to Windows 8.1. Well it seemed better than Windows 8 for the first few minutes. Then I discovered Autocad won't open. (Microsoft claim it's compatible - obviously I checked their Compatibility Center first).
I have Autocad LT 2013 version 19.0.55.0. I have done a full uninstall and reinstall of the application and service packs. There is no error message, the loading screen and status messages appear as normal, and then just before opening everything disappears.
I received a set of files from a client with .max extensions. Is it possible to open or import these into AutoCad? I would like to try this before going back to the client and asking for them in a different format.
