Every time I start AutoCAD MEP 2013 I get a Resource Manager Error and then AutoCAD usually crashes. Specifically I get the message
Cannot find the resource string number 21517 in resource AecXBase70.
It lists about a dozen different string numbers.
I'm getting lots of error messages when I bring up drawings in my 2009LT. Resource Manager Error. Cannot load resource only DLL. File not found, then many similar messages with AecResMgrenu.dLL.
Over and over, keep hitting OK till drawing loads. Not one specific file either.
Also: Unable to locate resource string. Resource Manager is not correctly installed.
Is there a way to fix without reloading 2009LT and having to reset all settings. Can that file AecResMgrenu be replaced. I have backup Program Files on CD.
Whenever I hover over my guardrail Subassembly I created with SAC I get this error. It's tied to the Tooltip info because it only happens when they are turned on. I have written a lot of subassemblies with SAC and this is the first one with this issue. See video: [URL] .......
I saw other posts about similar errors recommending a repair, which I did try, to no avail.

When opening the layers dialogue box in AutoCAD 2013 the display does not appear to load correctly, I have had this problem before when executing this command and loaded up the old layer manager, I can't remember what the command is for load this.

I get an error when I try to eTransmit from the sheet set manager.An error occurred attempting to create the transmittal. Please make sure the target location is writable and that the target disk has sufficient space.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been running ADT 2005 successfully on windows XP Pro for a year, but suddenly after running the backup program in windows XP, I effectively cannot startup and run AutoCAD for all the "Resource Manager Errors".
Checking the Autodesk knowledge base, the problem is recognized, but the solution does not appear to be available to me. Here is what Autodesk has to say:

When you attempt to launch a session of Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2005, the following error message is displayed:
Cannot load resource only dll
Solution: This error message typically occurs on systems running a backup software, such as Backup Software Verita 9.1. This software runs a remote agent that causes a conflict with the loading of ARX and DLL files associated with Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2005. In these instances, disabling the remote agent will restore the ability to launch and utilize Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2005.
*[back to me] - I've searched for the aformentioned "remote agent" on my system, but to no avail. Meanwhile, I cannot run ADT as it asks for missing files at startup and at every command.
I get a multiple error message dialogue "Cannot find resource string number XXXX in AeccPublishSVC 100 when exporting a DWFX file of drainage in Civil3d R2014 (I have R2013 open as well).

Is this a png file missing from the program, a fixable bug or what?
All of a sudden this morning clicking Layer Properties Manager gives my acadlt07 a fatal error. (unhandled e06d7363h Exception at 75509673h).
I thought it might be the file I was working on but it is happening with any file open.
I have had an issue where my text field shows up as "####" even though the the value is still showing up in the custom properties menu. I've tried updating the field and re-inserting the field and it keeps showing up as "####"

ERROR: Layout not found..By using one tab per drawing, seems to publish ok. But we want multiple tabs per drawing, so not really any use to us.
using autoCAD 2009 everytime I open up the Layer Properties Manager, it causes a Fatal Error and autoCAD to shut down, this is a first and need need to know how to solve this problem or at least a diagnose.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI accidentally click/dragged the sheet set manager palette really quickly and it totally vanished...The thing is I googled this, and every solution involved going to the CUI, expanding "Palettes" in the workspace and realigning it etc
However there is no Sheet set manager in my palettes menu..Is it called something other than "sheet set manager"?Also I've tried typing every command, even did a repair install.
My company just purchased AutoCAD 2013 and I'm in the process of converting our titleblock to work with the sheet set manager. Here are my steps I've taken:
1. Edit existed titleblock to add fields. Example: set our existing project name field to "CurrentSheetSetProjectName"
2. Create a sheet set using the titlbock DWT as my template for new sheets.
3. Typed "Test" into the default project name field that is created with new sheet sets
4. Clicked "Update fields" in the ribbon
After following those steps, I expected the project name to update to "Test". Am I missing something?
I remember that there used to be a command I used in an older version of AutoCad, such as "Sort Layer" or similar that would populate all of the layers used in a drawing, which solves the problem of not being able to see all the layers. I believe the default value is not set at a high enough number. What this command is?

With Windows version of AutoCAD2013, I can't find the Dialog box of Parameters Manager (See the First Picture below) from Block Editor Tab in Manage panel (the Second Picture below.) When I pick the Parameters Manager tool, I could see something happened in a blink of an eye, and disappeared. I tried the line command by typing PARAMETERS, but to no avail. I clicked Parametriic from the menu bar, and then Parameters Manager for selection, but with the same result. I just can't display it.

I am having an issue with the Properties Manager in AutoCAD 2013 LT.
When a single object is selected, the dropdown appears blank and the properties displayed are just the default drawing properties that are displayed when nothing is selected.I am unable to view/modify any object's (line, hatch, etc) properties.
My PICKFIRST variable is set to 1. This happens on any file I open with 2013 LT but does not when the same file is opened with 2007 LT. I have also reinstalled/repaired the program through the control panel. I am at a complete loss.
I have 3 states setup in the Layer States dialog box. I have even edited them to make sure they are setup. But, when I choose one and hit the Restore button, they don't. However, if I go thru the command line, they do work. Is the layer states dialog broken in 2013?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI thought when a person uses a field named CREATEDATE it would be a creation date time stamp. When creating a new drawing by layout and you check the creation date by using the time command you get the correct date of creation. The Sheet set manager field called CREATEDATE is not consistant. If I save the drawing this field changes the date to the current date. So I ask is this a flaw or should the field be renamed to lastsaveddate? Just asking because when I look for the Create Date I need the date I actually created the drawing not the last time I saved it. Just saying.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMost our our plans sets have several (10+) plan sheets, all with the same reference drawings and layer states (properties) setup. Currently, if we need to change a particular color of a single layer, we need to open up all of the plans sheets individually and change the color (or import a layer state). This takes a lot of time.
We are looking for a third party program where we can run a batch program to update the layer states of several similar drawings automatically, without opening each individual drawing.
As I recall, in previous versions of AutoCAD, when I am in the Layer Properties Manager and I click on an xref under the Xref heading, the only layers shown were the ones in that xref, not all.
That is what is happening now. I cannot seem to find any setting under the settings for the Layer Properties Manager that would change this.
On Layer Manager can't see VP Color and VP Linetype see picture.

Our company as a .ctb file that has been in use for some time. I have upgraded to 2013 and now...
When I open up old files that contain sheets and page setup.
If I attempt to "Modify" or "Create New" Page setup "Page Setup Manager" goes into lock down and freezes everything.
I am unable to change the setup to re-assign the proper .ctb.
I checked with a new document and I am able to access and use the right .ctb.
This is duplicated on everyone of the machines in our office that has 2013 running on PC.
The one machine with Autocad for Mac 2013 works just fine.
right now we out of four computer, we only have one computer running 2008 that do any printing or PDF'ing.
I tried changing the .CTB to an .STB, with no success. Changing the color space does not appear to work.
Is there a problem with my .ctb file that makes it not compatible with 2013?
I have recently loaded Autocad 2013 and am having trouble with the text showing up in the Layer properties manager dialogue box, all information about the layers is whited out.
Is this a transparency setting?
I am unsure what to change/set to correct this so I can see layer informaion in the dialogue box.
I have been having this issues as of recently, and i am now no longer able to use my "Layer Properties Manager"
Every time that i try to open the "LPM" it gives me an error that says
I have never seen this error before but its making it very miserable for me to have to seperate my work in layers without the use of the "LPM"
I have already un-installed & re-installed twice frankly i don't have anymore time to do this because i have deadlines i need to meet and its becoming a very big pain.
