Jul 29, 2013Recently I have an error message when publishing drawing.
"Your request could not be complete due to an unexpected problem. Turn off background plotting and try to plot again".

AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Message When Publishing?
Feb 1, 2013I'm using AutoCAD 2013 and I get a fatal error when it pulls up a print preview. If I have "Publish in Backgound" selected it proceeds to print. The error only appears to exisit when it pulling up the print preview. I have installed sp 1.1. I've repaired and reinstalled also. My AutoCAD 2012 is publishing fine.

Sep 28, 2013I'm using Inventor 2014 with Service Pack 1 with Desktop Content Center enabled on a single machine. I've also installed Vault Basic 2014 on the same machine. Operating System is Windows 7 Professional.
I've edited my non-vaulted and vaulted project files to create a Custom Content Center Library called Zzyzx. I've started a new Assembly and entered the Content Center Editor to add files to the Zzyzx library. I've copied the Inventor ANSI fasteners section into the Zzyzx library, using the Copy To method with links enabled. So far, so good.
After copying the entire Inventor ANSI fasteners to the Zzyzx library, I created a new column called DESCRIPTION within the Heavy Hex Head Bolt - Inch series folder. Using and expression, I've modified the string values of the just created DESCRIPTION column. I've elected to map DESCRIPTION to the Project.Description iProperty. I use the OK button and each row in the new column gets populated. Update Lightning Bolts are displayed at the far left of the dialog box.
I then use either the Apply or OK button and then Inventor displays a Publish Error message box that states: Non-unique filename(s) found in members. I've checked the file names and I see nothing that's repeating. I've tried using a new file name, but that doesn't solve the issue.What steps must I take in order to successfully edit my Custom Content Library called Zzyzx?

AutoCad :: Publishing Drawings And Determining Which Space The Drawing Is In
Oct 4, 2011I've got a persisitant problem with the publishing feature in autocad. I know how to set up bulk print of drawings using publish.
However the drawings are a mixed lot (some in paper some in layout). Is there a way to determine the state of the drawing without opening each one. In my case there is thousands of drawings and of course i do not have the manpower to inspect each one.

Oct 3, 2011After upgrading to 3.5 from 3.4.1 I received this error when attempting to publish new photos to my harddisk. First I thought the problem may be related to access rights. I am running Win7, 64 bit. So I reset the read/write rights in the export folder and the LR catalogue and AppData folders. No success. Then I opened a new cataloge and imported the old one in order to start "from scratch" - no success, publishing collections were not importet. Finally I switched back to version 3.4.1, and ... it works again

Aug 1, 2012I get a display error during the execution of some of the commands used in AutocadLT with Windows 7. It occurs when I choose a command along the bottom of the display area just above the command window (offset seems to be the worst offender. As soon as I choose the command, the computer locks up for a second or two then the screen goes black. Most of the time it will come back with a white screen in the rawing area and I will have to use the regen command to continue editing. it will sometimes do this numerous times before I can complete the command. (offset).
The error displayed from the task bar is:
Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding adn has successfully recovered.
AutoCAD LT :: Fatal Error When Trying To Save Drawing
Sep 6, 2012I started the drawing I have been working on for the last couple of days. I went to save it and this is what I got:
fatal error: unhandled access violation reading 0xbff247f8 exception at e47c7bd9h.
Every time I reload the program the numbers are different.
When I load a different drawing I don't have the problem.

Sep 30, 2013I am using Inventor 2014. I am receiving an error while closing a drawing. The error says "One or more drawings are being computed and are currently in raster state. The document(s) may be closed and pending updates will resume when the document is reopened.
Do you wish to continue closing?"
The drawing shows outdated views which I tried updating but they do not update. When I am trying to print the drawing, it shows incomplete drawing.

Apr 29, 2012A colleague of mine made the stupid mistake of using an unauthorized personal computer to save a work file, but she used an educational-licensed AutoCAD.
We do use legally purchsed and registered ACAD 2012 in the office. However, as expected, the file has been marked as being made by an educational version of ACAD and, therefore, cannot be sent back to our client.
A superficial search shows the solution as saving to dxf and back to dwg.
However -and herein lies my problem- when I save as dxf, the following error occurs:
"Error in LTYPE Table
Linetype name with vertical bar is not marked dependent on line 9540.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
Press ENTER to continue:"
And then nothing happens. I used both the "save as" features, as well as the "dxf out/in" and, since both seem to be the same, neither worked.

I have tried to recover the drawing (message says error were found and then I get the same error)
tried the back up file ...no go
tried a back up file from 2 weeks prior, same result.
Have tried inserting as a block to a new drawing... same error.

Even when I do attempt to set it to the correct project, it will not register. I have tried the "associate current dwg to project", as well as the "associate multiple dwgs to projec"t, yet it will not recognize it at the top of the screen.

Jun 28, 2012I am using 2012 version of CAD. I usually use classic mode. My files consist of alot of xrefs which are saved in different CAD versions. Whenever I scroll on my drawings i get a fatal error. I am not sure why this happens. Everytime a fatal error appears I have recover all the xrefs and the drawings those are opened in my system. AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Opening Drawing Every Time
May 15, 2012I get an error every time I open any drawing after it has been saved in 2013. Opening a dwg that was created in an earlier version does not give the error, but after I save it in 2013, it does.
If I create a new dwg in 2013, save it, close it and then open it I don't get the error the first time. But then if I save that dwg again, I will get it the next time I open it.
The exact error is:
One error was found in the drawing file during open. Would you like to cancel this open?It is recommended you cancel the open and run the RECOVER command on the drawing file.
I run the recover command. It says it found, fixed, and erased 1 error. I save, close, and reopen the drawing and the error still appears every time.
AutoCad :: Printing Drawing - Squared Print Error
Nov 26, 2013Strange issue when printing a drawing. For some reason whenever I send this drawing to print the 'squared' symbols get replaced with either some overlapping numbers or the letter E.
Unfortunately I can't take a photo of the result but I'll provide an image of what I'm trying to print.
Plotting as a .pdf works fine (print preview also looks fine) and is the current work-around but it would be good to get a proper solution because it's likely these will be printed again from AC in the future and we'll forget and the client will get a stodgy drawing and I'll be sad.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Error Occurred During Save - Run Recover On Drawing
Jan 31, 2011I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and everytime I export a model to AutoCAD format I get the message:
"Warning and error occurred during save. We recommend that you run RECOVER on the drawing"
Although it usually finds one fault during Audit or Recover and fixes that, the message still persists in appearing every time I use the export function. Why this happens and how I can sort it out?

Jan 31, 2012I have a medium size 3d drawing that displays the following error every time i click "Print Preview"
Error: "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x000a Exception at 2653281h"
with both "0x000a" and "2653281h" not always displaying the same values. Other 3d and 2d drawings preview with no problems, and i can navigate and make changes in the problem file without any errors.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Data Shortcut Error 2011 / Drawing Has Not Been Saved
May 13, 2010Occasionally I get the following message when trying to add data shortcuts.
"The drawing has not been saved yet, please save the drawing before creating data shortcuts" Only I have saved, this still occurs after either a full or quick save.
Shutdown Civil and reopen still gives the same message..The problem seems to be when you are saving to any other version of Autocad than R2010. Save as R2010 and it works.Mike Evans
