View 16 Replies View RelatedThe CC Application Manager was inviting me to install apps that were happily residing and working on my system, which concerned me because I would not be informed about updates for those apps. I just got the answer from the CC forum. I had changed the language from English (North American) to English (International) in some instances, and that was enough for the AAM to think those apps were for a different user. The thread below has screen shots of where to change preferences in the AAM

I use two monitors, one for my canvus and the other for all my palettes. Which means my palettes are outside the application frame. With this setup, my mouse is very "jerky" when rolling over the layers palette, or others (takes a few sconds to notice). But once I move the palettes within the application frame the mouse is very smooth.I am able to produce this on two Macs.

Also, I can't open the program because when I do, it comes up with a box saying "The serial number 12345678987654321 is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You must deactivate another computer or provide another valid serial number to use Photoshop CS6 Extended again on this computer." how to deactivate it without having to open the application, and uninstalling it doesn't deactivate it.
I am running PS CS5 12.1 on Mac OS 10.7.4 and all of a sudden I cannot open any file in Application Bar mode (I can see the preview of the file I want to open as a Layer thumbnail, but it won't open on the screen). However, all is OK in Application Frame.

What is exactly Adobe Application Manager? Is it necessary? Where did it came from? In the list of installed programs there is no Adobe Application Manager, so I cannot uninstall it. When I start it, it starts to install something.

It obscures the desktop and any other application windows that I'm not using, and so I can't use the Finder as I've become accustomed to using it.If there was a way to have the Application Frame hide when not in Photoshop I'd be a happy camper.
I un-installed CS5 when I got additional memory on my MacBook Pro. Wben I re-installed CS5 I moved the application icon to my desktop. When I clicked on the icon I got a screen that said. Here's the problem:Â When I try to open Photoshop by double clicking on a file icon (such as a .jpg), I get this message:Â "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory, Please reinstall the application." So - I uninstalled and then reinstalled everything, but it still doesn't work. Also another icon appears in the Dock on the far right.

If I launch Photoshop first, and then open files from within the application, the files open without a problem. But I'd rather not have to do this all the time.

With InDesign and Illustrator, another icon appears in the dock as well when I double-click on a file - but I don't get the message and can access the file with no problem.
Today I have started getting an error message that Photoshop has moved. I only get this message if Photoshop is not running and I right-click on something and choose to Open With Photoshop.
If I launch Photoshop first and then right-click open with Photoshop everything is fine. If the Application really had moved then shouldn't Photoshop complain when I double click on it in the Finder or open it through spotlight?

Reason I am here is I am looking for a image management or digital imaging software that will allow me to create my own web gallery that I can style and tailor myself and also be able to assign keywords to images in the application.
However, as I will be uploading a large collection of images I will need a search mechanism or the ability to upload the metadata, i.e the keywords for each image. So I will be able to find certain images I am interested in viewing, effectively and efficiently.
Do any of you guys know of any application that will do all these things?
I trust alot of you are very knowledgable in this area and probably professionals, I was wondering if anybody could give me a hand?
When loading Photoshop CS4 or Dreamweaver I get both the same message; some of the application components are missing from the application directory, please reinstall the application. Well, I've reinstalled photoshop and dreamweaver several times, download everything again too.Nothing solves the problem. View 6 Replies View RelatedIn CS3 and earlier, the application background color came from the Windows application background global property. In CS4 the central area seems to be (127,127,127) and I can't figure out how to change it. I have "open documents as tabs" OFF because I like individual windows, so the bright gray background is distracting.
How do I make it darker? There doesn't seem to be a property in Preferences->Interface.
Is it possible to change the background mid gray colour to another colour. Adobe Bridge opens up in quite a dark grey which enables the images to stand out better, is there a facility to alter the background in CS3?

Ive converted to Index colour cause I understand for desktop stuff like that it cant have antialiased edges right?.....and the bitmap image I have now has awful jaggy edges!

I downloaded MacHacha because I needed it to join some segments for Toast . So, I open ImageReady and use it but I look in the dock and notice a funky icon and not the right one but again, it still works but I don't trust it. I close IR and re-open it but MacHacha opens instead. I go to my Adobe Photoshop folder which contains IR with the right icon but it still opens MacHacha. So, I click get info in finder and it says that IR is a MacHacha file. WTH? I don't even know how but after I copied IR to my applications but not in my PS folder and I right-clicked get info and it says Kind: Adobe IR but it's the wrong icon. I can use IR but it's all messed up. I opened it from the PS folder and got info and it says it was modified on the 10th which I don't understand. I've used it since then and right until last night, it was working fine with the right icon etc. I also can't jump from IR to PS but the reverse works. I even tried adding IR to the dock from Apps (not PS) and the right icon appeared. However, when I clicked on it, it didn't worked and the wrong icon is shown right next to it. Here are some captures, don't click- C&P. Now, it's happening with PS 7 which is recognized as a MacHacha file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just recently installed CS4 on my work computer. The first day I recieved this error message: "The instruction at '0x0e4c2c5b' referenced memory at '0x00000028'. The memory could not be read."  The program immediatly shuts down causing me to lose all my work. My IT guys uninstalled the program and reinstalled and yet I still receive the error everytime I open the program. Any ideas?

I am using Vista, but this has not been a problem for the past year (so I don't think it's Vista related).I recently created an animation in Imageready and it worked just fine. However, when I returned to use Imageready again, I received the error listed above.Reinstalling does not resolve this problem. If I do a system restore, I am able to use Imageready again. . . but only one time. after which the same error occurs.
