Is it possible to change the background mid gray colour to another colour. Adobe Bridge opens up in quite a dark grey which enables the images to stand out better, is there a facility to alter the background in CS3?
In CS3 and earlier, the application background color came from the Windows application background global property. In CS4 the central area seems to be (127,127,127) and I can't figure out how to change it. I have "open documents as tabs" OFF because I like individual windows, so the bright gray background is distracting.
How do I make it darker? There doesn't seem to be a property in Preferences->Interface.
The application background (the color that appears behind the image) should be set to grey, black or a custom color. No matter what is chosen, it is white when changing between images. I have to click on the background space to get it to change back to my selected color. If I again switch pictures, it is white again.
I am running CS5 in Windows 8. It was not an issue on my Windows 7 PC.
I did this for CS6 but am at a loss for how to do it in CC.
I'm on a Mac and want my workspace to have a solid background instead of being able to see through it onto my desktop; similar to what you would see when first openning Illustrator on a Windows PC. Doing this also adds the minimize, close, etc. buttons to the header.
I have made an application which gets some numbers from a server. I also want to put all these numbers in a Photoshop document (*.psd) so i can use it to make a small video with these numbers.
Now , is it possible to add something in my application (C++) so it could directly change the data in my text layers ? Is there any "library" ?
I have some text documents in PDF format and would like to edit it in photoshop CS5, but each time I open them up in photoshop, the background seems to be transparent (tiny grey and white tiles), which is very eye tiring when editing/annotating with a wacom pen, how to fill the background total white?
I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 but get the following alert: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." Can it be reinstalled? It is not available under "History" and none of the available installs appear to be for Mac OS X (Version 10.7.4). S
I have PSE9 and a macbook pro 10.9. I lost the original DVD that came with my purchase of PSE. Some files must have gotten corrupted because I can't open the program without reintalling. It says, "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory. Please reinstall the application." I have the serial number and all and I registered the product. Is there somewhere I can download a new copy to install?
at photoshop cs6 extended downloaded in july, i now get the following message: "some of the application components are missing from the application directory. please reinstall the application."
I am using my CS2 on OSX and when I view the image in a full screen mode the color around the image is grey, well it used to be grey but it is blue now. How do I change it back to neutral grey?
this is not for the faint harted as it involves editing the Registry file in Windows. The location of the program list that shows up in the Launcher is:HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareCorelAppLauncherOnce there make a copy of the key by exporting it .. JUST In case ...Right click in the right pane to create a NEW .. String ValueGive it the name of the file you want in the drop down list in Corel .. Then right click it to modify the value. Paste the location of the program you want to Open in the Value data. I put in ThumbView (a StTex program that I use for the fact it give Corel Thumbnails that are the best I have seen) I also add X-Fonter as once more it is the best Font Manager I have come across. I also deleted the barcode program.
The programs show up in Corel by the time they were put into the registry not the order shown in it.
These Application Options settings change not infrequently and for reasons that I cannot be certain of:
Sketch: Enable Heads-up Display Edit Dimension when created Look at sketch...on...creation Part: No new sketch goes to x-y plane
This may happen after when I open parts from Inventor 2011 (maybe 2010) into 2012, then create a new part. I would expect the 2012 App Options to be the master, so I don't know why a legacy part would be allowed to change those settings.

I want to change a 1920-1080 p background, into a 1920 - 1200 background.
I don't want to re-size it or lose image quality, the background for this can be easily replicated through some simple editing (drawing strait lines with the paint brush tool, and basically filling in to expand the background) Is there a way to do this? Here is the picture I want to change:

I just want it so that the pin-wheel design extends outward as to make the entire image 1920-1200, rather then the 1920-1080 it is now. (without losing image quality of the center wheel.)
i have a picture with some background image that i do not want. can i totally change the background to plain colours like white, red etc but still want to remain the main picture.
hard time getting this background sawp to look natural. The picture I've linked to is as good as I've been able to get it, but something still doesn't look right.
If I want to change the whole color of a background, or even the whole image, how can I do this? Also, how does the eyedropper / color picker work? In general, if I want to change the color of something, what's the process?
I'm an exotic automobile photographer in the Houston area, and I edit tons of photos of mine a day. New challenge, me trying to change a background. I'm having trouble doing so.
How to change the background behind the green Ferrari in the picture? I was thinking in the middle of a rural road or something similar. Making it look very realistic as if it was there.
Is it possible to change the background color of a completed image? I've created a minimal version of the Fire image for use on my jewelry site. The background color is clearly wrong. I still have the original PSD file that I created. How do I change the color so as to harmonize with the rest of the site?
I want to Change the title on this picture with out changing the background color or dameging the picture. If you can tell me, i think all i have to do is add a new layer.
The area of the screen outside of the editing area of Image Ready used to be a light gray color. This would make it easy for me to see where the editing area ends because there would be a black line then the non-editing area space begins. Now it is all black and I don't know how to change it.
