Photoshop :: Application Bar Missing - CS6 Extended?
Jan 30, 2013
When opening my Photoshop CS6 extended, I found out that the application bar, that should be on top with the symbols of three colour rounds in beginning, is missing. Is there something wrong with my photoshop or should I do something to make it show???

I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 but get the following alert: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." Can it be reinstalled? It is not available under "History" and none of the available installs appear to be for Mac OS X (Version 10.7.4). S

I have PSE9 and a macbook pro 10.9. I lost the original DVD that came with my purchase of PSE. Some files must have gotten corrupted because I can't open the program without reintalling. It says, "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory. Please reinstall the application." I have the serial number and all and I registered the product. Is there somewhere I can download a new copy to install?Â

I have a Windows 7 system,I have a trial version of CS6 extended. It has expired and I don't wish to continue with it at this time. I have a purchased Photoshop CS6 that now will not function. I tried to reload the Application Manager because it says it is corrupt. When I click on the link provided by Adobe I get this warning from my security software. Adobe Cleaner Tool.exe containing HEUR:Trojan.Win32.KillFiles.What do I need to do to get rid of the trial version and to get my old CS6 to function again?Do I need to completely erase PS CS6?

I recently bought a new Mac Mini, and copied all my computer data and applications from my MacBook Pro onto it. Since the Creative Suite (CS6) wasn't working on the new computer, I re-installed it (downloaded from the Adobe website).
Â
Here's the problem:Â When I try to open Photoshop by double clicking on a file icon (such as a .jpg), I get this message:Â "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory, Please reinstall the application." So - I uninstalled and then reinstalled everything, but it still doesn't work. Also another icon appears in the Dock on the far right.
Â
If I launch Photoshop first, and then open files from within the application, the files open without a problem. But I'd rather not have to do this all the time.
Â
With InDesign and Illustrator, another icon appears in the dock as well when I double-click on a file - but I don't get the message and can access the file with no problem.

When loading Photoshop CS4 or Dreamweaver I get both the same message; some of the application components are missing from the application directory, please reinstall the application. Well, I've reinstalled photoshop and dreamweaver several times, download everything again too.Nothing solves the problem. What to do? the message is simply not telling me what is going wrong, shame on adobe.but anyone got the solution to this?

This problem began for me after installing the PSCS6 beta. I started getting a popup saying "Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged" and advising me to download and reinstall AAM. I did that, with no result. The responses from Adobe ("you must have a bad installer"). I was able to leave the beta as it was and use PSCS5.
Fast forward: PSCS6 is released and I purchase and try to install the upgrade, which won't install with the beta present. The Beta uninstaller won't run because of the AAM error. I laboriously search and delete all files related to the beta.PSCS6 release version installs, but when it starts I get a popup witht the same message about AAM. I have spent over 12 hours in chat with Adobe support with only negative results. Not only have they not fixed the problem -- they have managed to propagate it to my PSCS5 installation -- which they subsequently deleted.
As part of attempting to diagnose I have tried the PSCS6 unistaller, which fails with the same error; used the CS cleaner tool and reinstalled -- same problem; verified permissions and file ssytem on my system drive; tried removing CS6 and reinstalling from a new, clean admin account -- same AAM error.
I am at my wits' end with this. I have NO working verion of photoshop (big problem for a photographer/designer), NO confidence in Adobe support (most of the 12 hours was watching them try the same things we had done several times before), and how to fix this short of stripping my Mac back to the metal and reinstalling everything.

I just upgraded my CS6 Design Premium (OS X 10.8.2), and I can't for the life of me find the 'Copy CSS' option? I have Photoshop CS6 Extended 13.0.3, and everything else works great, but no matter what I try, there's no Copy CSS option.

I have opened a block to add a quick leader only and when I tried to close I got the message cannot save back ... (see screenshot 1) when I hit f2 the problem is shown to be a missing application reference (see screenshot 2).
This may not seem a big deal but the problem actually occurred after about 15mins of editing a block and it has taken me about an hour to figure out what the culprit was

Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.
Â
I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.
Â
I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.
Â
So, what are my options?
Â
Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?
Â
I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.

The CC Application Manager was inviting me to install apps that were happily residing and working on my system, which concerned me because I would not be informed about updates for those apps. I just got the answer from the CC forum. I had changed the language from English (North American) to English (International) in some instances, and that was enough for the AAM to think those apps were for a different user. The thread below has screen shots of where to change preferences in the AAM

I use two monitors, one for my canvus and the other for all my palettes. Which means my palettes are outside the application frame. With this setup, my mouse is very "jerky" when rolling over the layers palette, or others (takes a few sconds to notice). But once I move the palettes within the application frame the mouse is very smooth.I am able to produce this on two Macs.

My setup is:

I previously downloaded a copy of Photoshop CS6 off TPB, but somebody else has the serial number I used, and I can't open the application. I need to know how to deactivate my computer so I can download a trial version from the website.
Â
Also, I can't open the program because when I do, it comes up with a box saying "The serial number 12345678987654321 is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You must deactivate another computer or provide another valid serial number to use Photoshop CS6 Extended again on this computer." how to deactivate it without having to open the application, and uninstalling it doesn't deactivate it.

Some weeks ago a new shortcut was displayed in my desktop. I did not create it nor did I install any new software. The shortcut is Adobe Application Manager.
Â
What is exactly Adobe Application Manager? Is it necessary? Where did it came from? In the list of installed programs there is no Adobe Application Manager, so I cannot uninstall it. When I start it, it starts to install something.
