View 4 RepliesHow to freeze the mesh based on a texture I want to use?
This video [URL]...... shows that you can right click on the texture paint layer and freeze the mesh based on a texture. However, when I right click on my paint layer it doesn't even give me the option to freeze anything.
I don't see anywhere else to freeze parts of the mesh based on texture.
I've got Mudbox 64 bit and every time I create a new mesh the texture seems flat (Image Included) I've recently upgraded my system from 32 bit to 64 bit, and I never had this happen with the 32 Bit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI’m using mud box 2013 and maya 2013, I’m trying to send a model/mesh through from maya to mud box by clicking the mesh and then file > send to mud box > send as new scene. This seems to work fine I get a little connected to mud box dialogue box in the bottom right corner and mud box begins to open, when it finally opens the scene inside of mud box is empty. Its as if its imported nothing.

I'm trying to find a way to export my mesh to any programs that can convert my mesh to STL, preferably optimized like ZBrush is able to do.
However, in order for me to reach the desired detail amount in Mudbox I have to subdivide the mesh quite a lot and if I export the file as OBJ it is bigger than 2 GB.
If I try to import that model to ZBrush for instance it won't load because it doesn't support my amount of RAM. Is there any way at all to convert that big file to something more optimized or simply to STL without giving up on the amount of detail?
In other words, is there a proper way to use an extremely high-res Mudbox mesh for 3D printing?
have a little probelem with the send to Mudbox option. It producecs a Mesh with triangles while transfer. When i then update it back, it updates the same triangle mesh back to Max. Don't have the Problem with send to XSI or Motionbulder.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Maya to render out a greyscale image TIFF 16bit for use in Mudbox as 'Sculpt Using displacement'. The background is set to 0.5 grey and rendered as TIFF 16 from Maya. However, when applied as a sculpt using 'displacement' in Mudbox, the mesh slightly inflates (or deflates actually) every so slightly.
Is the issue cuases by my mid grey from Maya , tiff format or something else ?
Is it possible to transfer pose bones(weights) from one Mudbox file to another to use them for another mesh? I can see that one can maybe use .fbx and Maya path but not everyone has Maya or a Maya user.

Is it possible to edit the mesh at level 1 while viewing the mesh sub-divided at level 3 - using Mudbox 2011 or 2012?
I'm trying to pose my character, for that I'm using Max. When I imported the new pose from the level 0 I load it as an import layer. And when I go to level 5, the mesh is broken. VertexID are the same, uvs. etc.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the zoom and fill patterns in two PCs with Autocad 2012 In both, very often, when I zoom in on the design the fill patterns disappear.
After an update of the image reappear and this is a very big problem for me. The two PCs are both intel I7, one use a nVidia Geforce and other an nVidia Quadro, and I tried different driver versions but without benefits.
I am working on a 3D model using 3D solids and 3D blocks, then I make a render of a view and works fine, but if I make a zoom in to a zone and render it then the 3D blocks disappear showing only the floor (a 3D solid) and sometimes the render is just plain black, after a zoom out everything works fine. I made an Audit, exploded the blocks, even when making a crop render. Attached images explain better.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBeen using Xara Xtreme Pro 5 for several years and this is an issue that happens now. Parts of lines disappear in a drawing at different zoom levels. The drawing might look perfect at one zoom level, but if I zoom in from say 100% to 500% parts of lines disappear from the drawing. The fix is usually having to click on the line or zoom to a different %. I have attached a picture to show the issue. The hat on the left shows the missing part of the line (circled in red), and the hat on the right shows how the line actually is.
If this was happening in a pc game I would describe it as clipping. I'm on a Pentium 4 PC 3 GHz, Win XP SP 3 2 gigs of RAM. GeForce 6200 if this comes into play .
when i started using 2011. I have 2 viewports active; plan and isometric view. But when I try to navigate in the isometric view, the crosshair behaves in a way I don't understand. What happens is that when I zoom in the crosshair disappears over or under what I'm zooming in on.
It's hard to describe, but it seems that it have a different origo then the view represents. When I zoom out so much that the crosshairs are visible and I try to move them upwards, they stop in the middle of the screen and then the marker becomes visible in the ribbon part of the screen.
I have tried detaching all xref's, purged and audit, checked the elevation (0). This only happens in some drawings, not all, and I can't think of a common denominator in the drawings it happens.
Having an issue where in a part model with the view set to "wireframe with hidden edges" the edges and hidden edges disappear when you try to zoom in on the part. Actually not working with "wireframe and visible edges only" at any zoom level either.
The edges are there and I know that there are features that should be showing up as hidden.
Running Quadro FX 3800 with the most current drivers, and I only noticed this when switching to IV 2014.
Also running IV Build 222 SP 1
This is making designing very hard as I can't tell anymore where there are instances of features interfering with each other.

I am building a highlight video for my son who is a wrestler. I had the idea at the beginning to zoom in on one of his sr pics towards his eye. I want a the video to start in his eye but as zooming is complete it will end up full page video.
View 12 Replies View RelatedOften whatever I'm working on in X4 disappears off the document page when I zoom in or out. It's still there (I can see it in the print preview)and I can print it, but I can't see it no matter what view (e.g., normal, draft, etc.) I select. If I select the entire page I can see the graphic and text handles, but nothing else. The only way I can see my work again is to save it, close the program, and then re-open the file. My computer is a Dell Precision Work Station T3400 running Vista Ultimate with an Intel Core2 Quad CPU, 4GB RAM, and my graphics card is an NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 256MB. All my software and drivers are up to date. The problem occurs no matter what screen resolution or refresh rate I'm using.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly that has somewhere a hole with a round bar that exactly fits in this hole. But when meshing the assembly, the mesh of the hole and the mesh of the bar are different.
The result is that the different parts do only seem to touch each other at the edges of the mesh, resulting in high stresses.

I tried to made a derived part from the assembly, but that one does not finish meshing. After 48 hours, the progress bar is still half way. While the one above did finish in about 15 minutes. What can I do to make the meshes match?
I thought they were supposed to appear when the Polygon shelf is selected? I don't see them. In fact, when I select different shelves the menu items on the right half of the task bar don't change at all. Is this normal?
This is Maya 2011 on Mac OS X Lion.
I can't seem to get my profile start and end station labels to appear even after I checked "Label start station" and "label end station" in the profile view properties.

I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.

I am working on getting some settings done, moving from 2008 to 2012. How do you set the Middle Mouse Button (wheel) to either Zoom All or Zoom Extents when you double click it? I thought it was set in the Main CUI file.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy keyboard has a zoom key with + and - selections. I use to use this key in drawings to zoom in and out when in the AutoCAD application when we had Windows XP. Now that I have Windows 7 I can't do this. I can't find out how to assign this key on the Microsoft Keyboard interactive software either. I have the other keys assigned as desired.
Can I still use my keyboard zoom key to zoom in and out in drawings? If so, how do I set this up in AutoCAD, or do I need to do this through a Microsoft keyboard application?
I am having problems with zoom, pan and rotate at high zoom level. The movements becoming jerky and delayed. But for whatever reason the problem exists in some assembly files and not in the others.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Photoshop CS2 to create Designs for webpages. These designs have pixel-exact elements, e.g. a 1-pixel-line from top to bottom.
Now when I zoom in (>100, then I have sort of anti-alias, so that the 1-pixel-line isn't only one blue anymore, but it has different blue tones. I guess for photo manipulations etc. this anti-aliasing zoom is great, but for webdesign it sucks because I don't know if only the zoom make the line "corrupt" or if it really is corrupt.
Is there a way to change this zoom?
