I am working on getting some settings done, moving from 2008 to 2012. How do you set the Middle Mouse Button (wheel) to either Zoom All or Zoom Extents when you double click it? I thought it was set in the Main CUI file.
View 9 RepliesThe double middle mouse button click command. I use the middle mouse button to pan, but if I pan too quickly, it interprets it as a double-click and zooms all the way out. I tried changing the double click speed in my mouse settings but that didn't work. I feel like there should be something in the shortcut settings I can change?

On some computers with AutoCAD 2013 SP2, pan and zoom launched with the middle mouse button is significantly slower than pan and zoom performed by launching the PAN or ZOOM command on the command line.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a new pc upgrade so I'm walking through everything to see if it all works. Now when I double click my mouse wheel, nothing happens where before it would zoom extents. I'm using a MS Wireless Mouse 5000 with AutoCAD 2013.
I played around with programming the mouse buttons directly, but I couldn't get it to work right. I don't see anything in AutoCAD about a setting for mouse wheel double click. All I see is that it just says that double clicking the mouse wheel should execute the zoom extents command.
Is there a way to change the zoom on the mouse wheel? Currently to zoom out I scroll toward myself. I would like it to be the opposite since other programs I use are set up in this fashion. It would be easier if all were the same.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a CAD 2013 Arch user who is having a strange issue with zooming in or out using the mouse scroll wheel. It doesn't happen all the time which frustrates me because I never see it, but she does. Every now and then when she's working in a drawing she'll try to zoom out slightly, but the it zooms WAY out, so much that the drawing looks like a tiny speck. When she tries to correct it by zooming in, it zooms WAY in. Then for some reason, it starts working fine. This seems to happen to her multiple times a day and I'm sure what to or how to troubleshoot this. She's using a wireless mouse from Logistic and seems to have the current drivers installed.

Occasionally when I try to zoom with the mouse wheel it just won't let me to. I have to pan around and then it'll let me zoom again. That's extremely irritating. I've never encountered such problem in previous versions of Max. I have the service pack and both hotfixes installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS6 on windows 7-64bit with a keyboard and a mouse. I have a problem with the default functionality of the "Alt" key in windows 7. For those of you that are familiar with the default functionality of the alt key in windows 7, please skip to the next paragraph. For those of you not familiar, pressing the alt key in most programs in windows will highlight the toolbar so that you can use the keyboard to make selections within your "File", "Edit", "View", etc. toolbars if your mouse goes dead.
My problem is that I use the Alt + Mouse Scroll for zoom all the time. I rely on that feature probably more than I should. Yes, I could use cntrl + or cntrl - for zoom but that means I have to take my right hand off my mouse and I use photoshop 8+ hours a day some days. Time is of the essence to complete projects by the deadline.
I've tried disabling the default alt function in windows 7 (didn't work because you can't without third pary openware). I've tried duplicating the shortcut in the Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts menu (didn't work because it doesn't recognize the mouse scroll).
I found an annoying bug using photoshop cs6 with win 8 pro.
It only happens when i'm working on a file with layer. When I zoom in or out with the mouse wheel the background suddenly changes from gray to black or "trasparent" multiple times.
Already tried updating vga drivers and disabling gpu acceleration, with no results.
If I use the scroll wheel on my mouse in X3 it changes the zoom and does not scroll.
Using the same in X5 works OK and scrolls.
How I can change a setting somewhere so that it scrolls in X3
I never use horizontal and vertical scrolling with the mouse wheel

I get an error about transparent zoom not working because it requires a regen. I do not want to turn the autoregen off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to double click on an image in Loupe view in Library mode and I would zoom into that image. I think that stopped when I got to LR5, I'm in 5.3 now. Now when I double click in Loupe view, I'm back out to grid view. Drop down menu suggests I just need to hit return, same thing happens. This happens at all zoom levels fit, fill, 1:1, etc. I'm running OSX 10.9.2. Sounds like a setting issue, but I've looked.

This isn't good since it's completely unusable:
- dbl click zoom shows 100% - there's nothing to zoom, since it's zoomed...
- dbl click hand shows the image fit to window - the hand tool wouldn't make anything
switch the current double click behavior on Zoom and Hand tools so:
- dbl click hand shows 100% (1:1 pixels) so I can look around and see details
- dbl click zoom shows fit to window so I can zoom in to a region I want
I still want it to have its normal behavior while in a command, but when not in a command it still enters the selection mode, which does not work, but if it would enter a zoom window command, it might be a more useful command.

I can't find zoom settings in 3ds max 2013. Where they are? I think that in previous max it was in Customize -> Viewports tab. But now it is not there.
I do have the box checked to scroll with mouse wheel. I am using vista and i have right clicked on photoshop and chosen to run as administrator. No new programs installed, except for a mouse driver. If you attach a shapefile through "Connect to Data" and try to zoom to extents by right clicking on the shapefile under "Task Pane" it zooms to a different location. The shapefile and drawing PRJ is in LL84. It works in Civil3D2010 but not in 11 or 12. I have Service pack 3 installed. Why?
I have created a new database: Database newDb = new Database(true, true) Inserted a block into modelspace and now I want to zoom extent before saving.
Can this be done working on a new database in memory? all the examples I have seen on this board use Interop on a open document.
