How come the zoom on middle mouse reacts so slowly compared to using the zoom icon (magnifier) ? its slow, clunky and takes a moment to get going, it also has zoom limits which the magnifier does n`t.
I am working on getting some settings done, moving from 2008 to 2012. How do you set the Middle Mouse Button (wheel) to either Zoom All or Zoom Extents when you double click it? I thought it was set in the Main CUI file.
How to change the zoom in and out behaviour of the middle mouse wheel in Windows GIMP to work without having to press the ^ (control) button on the keyboard? I'm using to zooming in and out using just the mouse wheel alone and hoping that a setting in GIMP could be changed so that it also works without pressing the ^ (control) button at the same time.
I've googled this along with a few other things over last couple of days but no luck. Can this be done?
On some computers with AutoCAD 2013 SP2, pan and zoom launched with the middle mouse button is significantly slower than pan and zoom performed by launching the PAN or ZOOM command on the command line.
The double middle mouse button click command. I use the middle mouse button to pan, but if I pan too quickly, it interprets it as a double-click and zooms all the way out. I tried changing the double click speed in my mouse settings but that didn't work. I feel like there should be something in the shortcut settings I can change?
I can't find in new max (2013) settings for zoom. I want to set Zoom about mouse pointer and adjust a bit zoom speed (now it is too much for one mouse wheel step).
I can't find zoom settings in 3ds max 2013. Where they are? I think that in previous max it was in Customize -> Viewports tab. But now it is not there.
3d Max Design 2013. I'm having issues right off the bat with my mouse, especially the middle mouse button. During the tutorial videos, we're instructed that using the MMB with the Ctrl, Alt, or combination there of, a hand icon will appear and certain movements will occur. My mouse is not behaving in this manner. I am wondering if there is a certain setting within windows I need to set the MMB, specifically for this program, since the default setting doesn't seem to work.
I need to be able to work back and forth with sketchup, and revit. Unfortunatly the orbit and pan commands in revit are the exact opposite of sketchup( mmb = pan in revit) (mmb = orbit in sketchup) (shift + mmb = orbit in revit) (shift + mmb = pan in sketch up)
these commands are ingrained in my muscule memory and going back and forth is like writing one sentnce with your left hand and the next with your right. it is totally dibilitating.
Is there any way to customize these in revit? Can i change the MMB to be orbit and shift+MMB to be pan ?
Similar to how Minecraft allows you to select the block your cursor is over via middle mouse click,
wouldn't it be intuitive to make the eye dropper/color selector bound to the middle mouse button?
As far as I can tell, a middle mouse click does nothing in PDN right now and when I tested to see if this feature was already implemented, it just felt right to me.
So I say follow in Notch's footsteps with the middle mouse button, afterall he himself advocated PDN on his blog for creating games
If there is a way to change the behavior of the middle mouse button in the Node Editor so that by default it moves the panel without needing to press the Alt key?
Ideally I'd like to swap the behavior of pressing the Alt Key + Middle Mouse with just the Middle Mouse.
I haven't been able to use the 3D orbiting shortcut since yesterday. I'm using a wireless Microsoft Mouse and keyboard instead of the inbuilt mouse & keyboard on my laptop (which don't seem to be executing the command either).
Up until yesterday I never had any problems orbiting the view.
I've been researching this all day and I can't find anything that works for me. Is there a way to change the middle mouse button from "Pan" to "Rotate" my model? Currently, I hold "Shift" while holding down the middle mouse button and that rotates my model. Can I incorporate that into my middle mouse button somehow without having to buy a 3D Connexion mouse?
So recently I started making something in Inventor, and like most programs you can press the middle mouse button and it will pan or orbit. Well I'm pretty sure that in the past if I pressed the middle mpuse button it would pan or orbit. But now it is zooming all for the model, and only when it is zoomed to the whole model does it let me pan or rotate. If I were to zoom in on a line for example and wanted to pan to the right, it zooms me out to the whole model, and then I can pan. I have tried multiple mouse buttona all combinations of shift ctrl and alt and middle mosue, but nothing is working. How can I make it so it does not zoom all when clicking the middle mouse?
Out of the blue, my zoom on my middle wheel slowed down. So, now I have to spin my wheel at least 20 more times when I zoom in. The problem only occurs in Civil 3D not any other programs. How to fix my zoom?
I have a Logitech MX 600 cordless mouse. I just updated the SetPoint software as I got a new cordless keyboard. Now, the middle button pan is erratically working. None of the settings has changed. MBUTTONPAN is set to 1. Middle button is still set to "Middle Button."
Sometimes the pan works. Most of the time it doesn't. If there are new setting on the SetPoint software I need to check or uncheck? I've even tried messing with some CUI settings under the mouse component...
I'm using PS CS6 13.0.5 x64 on Snow Leopard (iMac 27" late 2012). I tried to change the text engine to Middle Eastern, but after I restart PS, the program is nearly non-responsive, and it takes forever to edit text. Changing it back to East Asian solves the problem, but then again, I want to use the Middle Eastern feature...
When I use Illustrator CS6 I don't have such problems (although I have to write backwards, since there is no support for right-to-left in Illustrator in my version)
I have set "Zoom about mouse point" to "on" in Preferences for both ortho and perspective viewports. However, the function doesn't work in my perspective viewports.
Occasionally when I try to zoom with the mouse wheel it just won't let me to. I have to pan around and then it'll let me zoom again. That's extremely irritating. I've never encountered such problem in previous versions of Max. I have the service pack and both hotfixes installed.
I don't know what I did, but some how when I use the mouse wheel to zoom now, it only zooms in from the center of the screen, not where the mouse pointer is.
Is It possible to Zoom In/Out with Scroll Mouse In Lightroom, just like you can do that In Photoshop. Also, I noticed Inside the Library you can Zoom In and Out with the Zoom Slider In the Bottom of the page. But there Is no Zoom Slider Inside the Develop Mode, Why there Is no Zoom Slider Inside the Develop Mode ?
I am running autocad lt 2011 with the latest windows 7. My mouse is very jerky within paper or model space but especially when I try linear demand or line demand.
I have tried accessing performance tuner but cannot find it, I have reset my hardware accelator to 0. I am not using an aero graphic within windows and am checking my graphics card.
I just switched to a mac from PC and I was used to zoom with my mouse scroll and hold shift to zoom in even increments to keep the image as crisp as possible. Now on a mac I still haven't found a way to do this. When the zoom with mouse scroll is enabled (I use Apple's Magic Mouse), I'm only able to zoom in and out getting uneven values such as 88,7%, 97,6% etc - the same action as in Photoshop WITHOUT shift pressed. I've also tried plenty of different keys with mouse scroll zoom.
Is there any way to zoom in even steps with Magic Mouse on a mac? This is driving me crazy, as now I have to select the zoom tool and use it to zoom in and out, which significantly slows down my work flow.
How can I set up the two side mouse buttons on my Microsoft mouse (used to go back and forward on web pages) to be the Zoom in and Zoom out functions in Photoshop CS?
