On some computers with AutoCAD 2013 SP2, pan and zoom launched with the middle mouse button is significantly slower than pan and zoom performed by launching the PAN or ZOOM command on the command line.
View 7 RepliesThe double middle mouse button click command. I use the middle mouse button to pan, but if I pan too quickly, it interprets it as a double-click and zooms all the way out. I tried changing the double click speed in my mouse settings but that didn't work. I feel like there should be something in the shortcut settings I can change?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI haven't been able to use the 3D orbiting shortcut since yesterday. I'm using a wireless Microsoft Mouse and keyboard instead of the inbuilt mouse & keyboard on my laptop (which don't seem to be executing the command either).
Up until yesterday I never had any problems orbiting the view.
When I click right mouse button, it shows menu like below picture.
But i want to set menu like this.
I've been researching this all day and I can't find anything that works for me. Is there a way to change the middle mouse button from "Pan" to "Rotate" my model? Currently, I hold "Shift" while holding down the middle mouse button and that rotates my model. Can I incorporate that into my middle mouse button somehow without having to buy a 3D Connexion mouse?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo recently I started making something in Inventor, and like most programs you can press the middle mouse button and it will pan or orbit. Well I'm pretty sure that in the past if I pressed the middle mpuse button it would pan or orbit. But now it is zooming all for the model, and only when it is zoomed to the whole model does it let me pan or rotate. If I were to zoom in on a line for example and wanted to pan to the right, it zooms me out to the whole model, and then I can pan. I have tried multiple mouse buttona all combinations of shift ctrl and alt and middle mosue, but nothing is working. How can I make it so it does not zoom all when clicking the middle mouse?

During the tutorial videos, we're instructed that using the MMB with the Ctrl, Alt, or combination there of, a hand icon will appear and certain movements will occur. My mouse is not behaving in this manner. I am wondering if there is a certain setting within windows I need to set the MMB, specifically for this program, since the default setting doesn't seem to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Logitech MX 600 cordless mouse. I just updated the SetPoint software as I got a new cordless keyboard. Now, the middle button pan is erratically working. None of the settings has changed. MBUTTONPAN is set to 1. Middle button is still set to "Middle Button."
Sometimes the pan works. Most of the time it doesn't. If there are new setting on the SetPoint software I need to check or uncheck? I've even tried messing with some CUI settings under the mouse component...
I need to be able to work back and forth with sketchup, and revit. Unfortunatly the orbit and pan commands in revit are the exact opposite of sketchup( mmb = pan in revit) (mmb = orbit in sketchup) (shift + mmb = orbit in revit) (shift + mmb = pan in sketch up)
these commands are ingrained in my muscule memory and going back and forth is like writing one sentnce with your left hand and the next with your right. it is totally dibilitating.
Is there any way to customize these in revit? Can i change the MMB to be orbit and shift+MMB to be pan ?

My lot top mouse is not working no more with the zoom in and out command. I dont have and external mouse other than the one is install from factory on my lot top comp. It was working perfect, but i think i click something by mistake. I only learn enough to draw in cad but when it comes up to problems like this i do not know what to do. I was trying to copy a table with chairs from and other file and when i pasted to my drawing something happen so my mouse is not zooming in or out in my drawing .
View 5 Replies View RelatedI loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.
When I try to use a window zoom in a layout viewin model space my window offsets the the right and below the mouse pointer by a consideral distance. Window zoom works correctly in Model Space and in layout view in paper space. It is doing it in all of my drawings New or Old so I'm guessing its a global setting of some type.

I initiate a command (say LINE), I pick my first point to draw the line and nothing happens. I must click it again to get it ot work. It only happens when I'm working fast. For instance:
L (for line)right-click (for ENTER)immdediately try to click the first point of the linenothing happens and I must re-pick the firtst point again
or
E (for erase)right-click (for ENTER)immediately try to pick a corner for your boxnothing happens and I must re-create my selection box However, if I go slow it works fine. For instance, after initating the command simply wait about 2 or 3 seconds and then try to click. It all works fine there, but waiting becomes annoying now.
The mouse clicks work fine in all my other software (Excel, MS Word, etc.). I am having another (maybe totally unrealated issue) with my keyboard. While typing, my cursor will magically move somewhere else on the screen. I'm using a laptop and have made sure I'm not touching the touch pad. This may be a completely unrelated issue to the mouse clicks, but I thought I'd inform you just in case the two go hand in had. by the way. . .dynamic mode is disabled, PICKFIRST is set correctly, and I've messed with the 3D Config options.

I've been tethering to Capture One with a Phase Back then having Lightroom Autoimport the files which works well. The biggest problem I have is that when I want to check focus as I go along and I zoom in on the files in loupe view Lightroom is really slow at rendering up the image. It seems to get slower as the catalogue fills up until it just wont do it. Then if I quit Lightroom and restart its better for a while then slows down again.
Both applications are running on the same Macbook Pro with The latest OSX.
However looking through the files in Capture One they zoom up in size with hardly any delay. I understand that Lightroom has to render a larger preview which is taking the time but surely Capture One has to do this too but doesn't seem to need to take anywhere near as much time to do it. In the case of Capture One it seems to be able to zoom into files that it hasn't previously loaded so there must not be a pre existing preview there.
I have a Microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 6000 and I can not pan using the middle button for some reason. I have tried to change the variable in the MBUTTONPAN command from 0 to 1 and it made no difference.

I can't find zoom settings in 3ds max 2013. Where they are? I think that in previous max it was in Customize -> Viewports tab. But now it is not there.
Out of the blue, my zoom on my middle wheel slowed down. So, now I have to spin my wheel at least 20 more times when I zoom in. The problem only occurs in Civil 3D not any other programs. How to fix my zoom?

wouldn't it be intuitive to make the eye dropper/color selector bound to the middle mouse button?
As far as I can tell, a middle mouse click does nothing in PDN right now and when I tested to see if this feature was already implemented, it just felt right to me.
So I say follow in Notch's footsteps with the middle mouse button, afterall he himself advocated PDN on his blog for creating games
Just installed Maya 2013 and can't seem to reorder objects in the outliner with the usual middle click drag.
Have to click several times on the name and try again until eventually it does it.
I don't know what I did, but some how when I use the mouse wheel to zoom now, it only zooms in from the center of the screen, not where the mouse pointer is.

My keyboard has a zoom key with + and - selections. I use to use this key in drawings to zoom in and out when in the AutoCAD application when we had Windows XP. Now that I have Windows 7 I can't do this. I can't find out how to assign this key on the Microsoft Keyboard interactive software either. I have the other keys assigned as desired.
Can I still use my keyboard zoom key to zoom in and out in drawings? If so, how do I set this up in AutoCAD, or do I need to do this through a Microsoft keyboard application?
Is there a way to change the zoom on the mouse wheel? Currently to zoom out I scroll toward myself. I would like it to be the opposite since other programs I use are set up in this fashion. It would be easier if all were the same.
