I have an autocad LT drawing with multiple layers - When trying to add a new layer I now get a message saying "A new layer was created that does not match the current layer filter"
Have I inadvertently turned on a filter and how can I turn it off?
Is there a setting somewhere that will allow you to turn off a layer automatically when another layer is turned off?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a problem and it's driving me nuts. I have some corel files with print grid layer button turned on and it's impossible to turn it off.
This have a secondary effect and it's corel hangs up when i try to print the file, start to make the "previous checkings" and never ends.
The layer is turned off but the table is still turned on!
I’m wondering how come the layer in which the table exist is turned off while the table is still turned one!

I am making a montage for my son's 40th birthday showing small pictures of him and our family over the years fro very early-age to the present time.
I had about 30 pictures already arranged as ALL the layers disappeared and the Background Locked layer is the only one left!
way of getting my layers back?
I accidentally combined my Canon 30D 2011-12 folder with my Hp 850 2011-12 folder, now one camera's images show missing, and so does the folder for the missing images. Since they have all been keyworded and developed, how can I recover the appropriate ones back into the right missing folder?

It doesn't seem to be an issue for very very small sized images, if I make the photo smaller it will work just fine. However, for any regular sized images I get this result below. I just got a new computer, so i'm not sure what the issue could be?

i dont know how to change the topic to "solved" however a collegue told me to enter MAXACTVP at the command line the value was 16, i was told to set it to 64 ( i had 21 viewports ) and they all came on.

Every layer has turned to white. The layers have colors set to them and everything is set to color by layer, but everything turned to white. It happened either after I printed or exeted the layer dialogue box, I can't recall. How can I get things to go back to show the colors they are. Oh and I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2012.

I have to go into layer manager, select all and turn them back on. Is this a Autocad glitch or am I doing something wrong. Usually it is happening after the unisolate command. I assume that it is related with the unisolate function that does not work for all layers.

I am trying to use Autodesk Inventor 2013 with UAC turned on.

Inventor starts and works fine until we want to use Inventor Studio to render anything. The option is greyed out, if i remove the add-on and re-add it, the options becomes available but all of the options within Inventor studio are greyed out, so it's useless to me.
This is someone else's preview but it applies to this scenario.

I can verify that under the same profile with UAC turned off it all works.
I need to leave UAC on and I need to be able to render using Inventor Studio.
Architect sent us a floor plan. I turned off layers we don't need, such as dimensions. Print preview doesn't show those layers. When the plan plots, though, the dimensions plot too.
Architect's drawing was originally done in Revit.
I just called up a drawing I haven't worked on in a while. All the text is annotative with 2 scales, 1/8 & 1/4 and worked just fine. Now I see both scales at once, I can't get "grips" on it, it won't edit, and when I list it, it comes up as object type block "*uxxx", not text. If I explode it, it becomes text again, but as two separate notes of different sizes, and both remain visible, even though the anno scale is set for 1/8. Drawings that reference this also show both scales at once.

He has closed and opened his drawing, restarted his PC and still no tabs. They should be there yet they are not there. I have a plan view of a residential building. I want to remove some columns. I may need them later so I don't want to delete them.
I want to move them to a new layer (layer name: hiddenObject) and turn this layer off to unshow them.
When I move them and turn that layer off, first, the color of those objects didn't turn to layer's color and second they don't disappear.
What is wrong with my procedure?
So... every layer has to be turned on and thawed? But that's the direction things seem to be going. If I want to see my contours, for example, all layers associated with them must be on and thawed. Yes? No?
This makes drafting and designing more difficult and it unnecessarily clutters the screen. Once I'm done creating a surface, for example, I don;t want to see the intermediate entities again (unless I need to make changes). All I want to see is the finished product that will appear on the plans, i.e. contours, etc.

For some reason points are still visible when the layer they are on is turned off. Also the layer is green but the point is red. Color is set to ByLayer.

This also is the case when applying constraints. In application options, the select other timer is set to 2.0 sec., it is not set to off.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just had C3D 2013 reinstalled on my LT and having a surface visibility issue. This may be just a command setting issue but I have a surface and created it on a particular layer that I can't make invisible.
Then I turned that layer off so I could work on other things. Now when I do a REGEN that surface becomes visible in my drawing yet the layer identified in its properties is turned off.
If I got to VIEW and ORBIT the surface disappears until I stop rotating then it’s visible again. I like to control visibility by turning layers on or off but this isn’t allowing me to turn it off.
If I make the surface layer current and do a rebuild the surface moves back to that layer and I can then turn that layer off to make the surface invisible.
Why is this surface visible when its layer is turned off?
LT2011 I was working on a drawing, save and closed program. When I got back from a meeting and re-opened the drawing it had converted some of my text into blocks. Question is how do I get it back to text or am I screwed?? Also since I first bought the program I've never been able to get it to work, tried both drop down menu and also short cut button neither works.

There are no drawing entities or xrefs on layer 0 or the defpoints layer.
I am trying to turn the style library off in inventor 2012, I can't seem to be able to do this. I know in the past version I simply turned it off in the project editor, but I only have the read-write option now. All my drawing settings are saved to my Template, when i open the template, it changes to the style library settings, which I don't want.how to save my settings to style library this is why I have never used it.
