I can't get the select other function to work. When doing a measurement, if I right click on an item, then click "select other", nothing happens. This also is the case when applying constraints. In application options, the select other timer is set to 2.0 sec., it is not set to off.
View 7 RepliesWhen I paste an item in the assembly, the item is thrown off in space. It places it so far away that it is not even in the view window. I have to stop what I doing, do a find in window and then drag it close to where I need it. Then I can start constraining it.
Why does it not place the item at my coursor location like it used to?
I am using SP1.
LT2011 I was working on a drawing, save and closed program. When I got back from a meeting and re-opened the drawing it had converted some of my text into blocks. Question is how do I get it back to text or am I screwed?? Also since I first bought the program I've never been able to get it to work, tried both drop down menu and also short cut button neither works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with the "select sketch features" selection filter. Specifically, it does not seem to work within the edit-in-place environment. If I am sketching on a part that has been opened discretely, selection functions normally. However, if I am editing within an assembly and I attempt to work in a sketch, face selection takes priority over selecting dimensions or sketch features despite the sketch features filter being active. I have not always had this problem, and it began approximately a month ago. I can't think of anything I might have changed to cause this, but I'm wondering if there's an option somewhere that I accidentally toggled.

I'm trying to be able to have a function run another function with the secondary function being passed as an argument to the first. I'm trying to create a recursive function and the recursive part works great. I just need to be able to have the recursive function run other functions to actually do stuff.
Here is something I found that should do what I need, mainly run a function from a function name in a variable.

However I get the error "object required" on the "result = Application.Run(ftnName, argument)" line. So I'm guessing the Inventor VBA doesn't like this method of doing this. I'm just hoping there is a way to do this or this function will be useless or reduced to hardcoding functions which still defeats the purpose.
The layer is turned off but the table is still turned on!

dtext function not working. when doing dtext but using the insertion point of some previous text. will not move to next line unless some text placed on first line. is there a setting, no issue in 2011

In the last day, one of our users has lost his ability to Group. Whether he selects objects and then pulls down "Group" from the tools menu or vice versa, the objects do not group. The command line text doesn't give any errors or other indication of what is happening.
i'm trying to create a LispFunction in vb.net in visual studio 2010 (tried both .net 3.5 and .net 4.0) and it's like autocad is just ignoring them. is there a setting or something to disable .net LispFunctions from being loaded? CommandMethods work just fine, and i'm not seeing any errors. in fact i'm using the most basic of functions, just returning the arguments. and nothing. Any diagnostic or something to determine what's the matter?

am trying to select between red and pink...on a graded level, which makes it harder. I am using the select tool and select similar in order to do so...I was wondering if their was a way to limit the particle size (object total pixzel area) that photshop considers when selecting similar things.
For example, like I stated above, I am selecting for red objects against pink objects...and the red objects are round, so is there a way to limit selection to objects red and have a objective radius of a few pixels?

Inventor starts and works fine until we want to use Inventor Studio to render anything. The option is greyed out, if i remove the add-on and re-add it, the options becomes available but all of the options within Inventor studio are greyed out, so it's useless to me.

I need to leave UAC on and I need to be able to render using Inventor Studio.
I am trying to turn the style library off in inventor 2012, I can't seem to be able to do this. I know in the past version I simply turned it off in the project editor, but I only have the read-write option now. All my drawing settings are saved to my Template, when i open the template, it changes to the style library settings, which I don't want.how to save my settings to style library this is why I have never used it.

Im using Inventor 2014 SP1 on a HP Z620 with 2 CPU - 16GB Ram.
Graphic card is a AMD Firepro W7000 4GB.
When i am rotating a big assembly 500+ it doesnt lag that much, but when i have a sketch turned on at the same time, the graphic lags extremely when rotating.
I have tried all the recommended drivers and the newest drivers and nothing changes.
I tried different hardware settings in inventor (Performance, Compability, Quality) and there is no difference.
I also tried to change the graphic Card with a Nvidia GTX 660.
It rotates much better (smooth) in big Assy than my firepro but it is having the same issue when having a sketch turned on.
In the drawing environment is there any way of defaulting hatch to be turned on when creating an ISO of a section?

Whenever I go to use the text tool in my Photoshop cs3 extended it says the function was unable to work because something prevented it from initializing.
The export dialog box seems to work. I hit EXPORT and it goes to export. Then the operation gets stuck and the image won't export.

I can switch back and forth between representations in the assemby and the sub-assemblies go on and off, but drawing views where I've selected a given representation still show the "invisible" assemblies.

Ok I am struggling with this again. Some how when my assembly was made I had several work planes visable on several subassemblies. No big deal, I will just go to the subassemblies, turn them off and save them and all will be fixed right? Wrong, the assembly still opens with the work planes showing. So I expand the subassemblies and turn the visability off in the top level assembly. Now when I attempt to save the assembly I am told that the master view is locked and I need to create a new view. But I don't ever want all the work planes on and I don't want to create a new view because that leads to not being able to save a linked assembly or drawing if the wrong thing is open somewhere.
How do I unlock the master view to be able to save it with the planes turned off?
LR 3.6 Import function has stopped working. Worked fine one day and stopped working the next. No Files Found to Import yet you can see the files trhough LR in the import step while the little message in the bottom right corner says "Finding Files".

Drawing is normal if based on .iam.
Only one part of the assembly is the problem. Other parts, also with trimming surfaces, are shown normal.

This used to work, but now it won't work at all, even when opening a file from scratch.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI draw a line with the pen tool, right click and then 'stroke' the pen line with a brush (for example). I imagine I've done this successfully thousands of times but for some reason it just isn't working today (or yesterday actually!). When I right click then go down to 'stroke' nothing happens at all.
However it does work if I go into the 'paths' palette, right click on 'work path' and stroke the pen line with the brush.
I've now finally got PSE12 installed. However the 'Add People' functionality is not working.
In the 'People' tab, when I click the 'Add People' button I get the 'preparing files' dialogue box. I then get a message saying "You have labelled everyone in your selection" (whether I've made a selection or not in 'Media'). I can 'add people' in an individual photo but not by clicking 'add people' either in Media or People view. This worked fine for me in PSE11.
I'm using Windows 7 and don't have any other PSE versions installed.
All of a sudden my Copy Function quit working in Corel x5.
I can copy from other programs and paste into Corel, but I cannot copy from one file to another file (or the same file even) within Corel.
I was told it could be a possible update from Windows 7 causing it and that I need to reinstall my software.
I have been using Elements for quite a few years and have had no problem in resizing images until last week. I often use the option of resizing using the cm measurements I want. When I tried this on my laptop last week the programme would not allow me to change any of the figures in the resizing dialog box. I tried cm, pixels and percentage and none of them would work.
I tried a number of different images from one file but could not resize any of them however I opened an image from another file which I know i have resi9zed in the past and this time the function worked fine.
I copied the image I couldn't resize to my main computer which also has Photoshop Elements and the resize function worked fine on this computer.
I uninstalled Elements and then re-installed it on my laptop but still have the same problem. I also have Photosphop Cs4 on my laptop and the resize function has stopped working in this programme as well.
Have just upgraded from Elements 9 to Elements 10 and used the File -> Rename function to rename 3000 files with a new Base name beginning 'Base' the process reported it had completed and did not provide any additional messages - but checking the result not all files were renamed and a large number were left behind with the original Base name.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with quick select not working properly in 2013 when I am cleaning up X-Refs selecting hatcing or anything else it does not just delete what I am tring to select it just deletes everything. If I go back to any prevous version of AutoCAD it works fine the only solution i can think of is to reinstall.
