Photoshop Elements :: Image Resize Function Stopped Working

I have been using Elements for quite a few years and have had no problem in resizing images until last week. I often use the option of resizing using the cm measurements I want. When I tried this on my laptop last week the programme would not allow me to change any of the figures in the resizing dialog box. I tried cm, pixels and percentage and none of them would work.
I tried a number of different images from one file but could not resize any of them however I opened an image from another file which I know i have resi9zed in the past and this time the function worked fine.
I copied the image I couldn't resize to my main computer which also has Photoshop Elements and the resize function worked fine on this computer.
I uninstalled Elements and then re-installed it on my laptop but still have the same problem. I also have Photosphop Cs4 on my laptop and the resize function has stopped working in this programme as well.

This used to work, but now it won't work at all, even when opening a file from scratch.

LR 3.6 Import function has stopped working. Worked fine one day and stopped working the next. No Files Found to Import yet you can see the files trhough LR in the import step while the little message in the bottom right corner says "Finding Files".

I am running Windows Vista. I have just installed Elements 10. Everytime I start the programme It goes into organiser and ten seconds or so later I get a message saying " Elements 10 Organizer has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

When i open Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, which i have used for quite some time and its always worked, it now had a blank window pop up and it will no longer let me create new documents, open old ones or use any features. Basically it just freezes and doesn't even let me quit the program, i have to force quit it every time.

I keep getting an error that my editor software has stopped working.It was working just fine till about 3 days ago.Using Windows Vista, IE8, Office 2007.The organizer still works. My Premiere Elements 8 is still working.

I can't use some of the filters (comic, pen and ink) in Photoshop Elements 11 (for Mac) since yesterday. They worked perfectly before... I have tryed to reset the default preferences, but it didn't give any result.

My PSE10 Healing Brush is now acting like my cloning tool. I was using the cloning tool while editing a photo. The next photo I went to use the healing brush and received an error notice that I usually associate with the cloning tool. The error reads "alt-click to define a source point to be used to repair the image". I have done a restart as well as checked for any available updates. All to no avail.

when I select an area of a photo and attempt to use the 'dust and scratches' filter, Elements 11 jumps to the 'Hand Tool' and locks up. This is on a Windows 8 machine.

I recently upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to 11. Everything works great while I am using it but if I do not do anthing in Elements for 4-5 minutes I get the 'Elements 11 Organizer has stopped working' error message, the only option I have is to push the 'Close Program' button.

The lasso selection tool in PSE9 is malfunctioning. When I draw a selection, I immediately get a message saying: "Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."
This is the kind of message I would normally get when I select wrong numbers for feathering. But now the message comes up when I use the lasso tool to try to select an area. When I hit cancel the message, the selection disappears. But the pulldown menu shows that I can "deselect." When I do that, and start all over, I get the same problem.
I quit and restarted PSE9 to try to fix this but it didn't work. Then I restarted my Mac computer, but that didn't fix it either

I have been using PSE 11 (version 11.0) for several months on 27" iMac with OS X Lion (version 10.7.5). One of my favorite tools is the spot healing brush with content aware option. For some reason it suddenly stopped working! The black circle doesn't appear when I click my mouse. I have reset the tool to no avail.

the zoom burst effect has stopped working in PSE 12! when I click the zoom burst function the photo distorts as designed but when i click the "add focus area" button on the photo it returns the whole photo to normal without focusing the part selected.I have uninstalled and reinstalled PSE 12 already with no effect.

Photoshop elements 11 running windows 7, have been using Photoshop elements 11 for approximately a year, this morning can't get it to launch, get the message program has stopped working with the APPCRASH problem message. Detail Smart Brush use to have the same brightness as Smart Brush as in Bright Eyes, Whiten Teeth, etc. Now when I use Smart Brush, I get the same brightness as always, but when I try to use the Detail Brush, it is darker than Smart Brush. It used to be that I could go over an area as many times as I wanted without an accumulation of brightness with the Detail Brush. Now if I go over an area I already went over, it lightens it more. Have I done something to cause this? How can I get it back to the way it was before (and the way I can still use Elements 11 which I did not uninstall). I tried Sign Out, uninstall and making a new install but the problem was there again. Is it possible that this was updated by Adobe and intentionally changed?

I've now finally got PSE12 installed. However the 'Add People' functionality is not working.
In the 'People' tab, when I click the 'Add People' button I get the 'preparing files' dialogue box. I then get a message saying "You have labelled everyone in your selection" (whether I've made a selection or not in 'Media'). I can 'add people' in an individual photo but not by clicking 'add people' either in Media or People view. This worked fine for me in PSE11.
I'm using Windows 7 and don't have any other PSE versions installed.

Have just upgraded from Elements 9 to Elements 10 and used the File -> Rename function to rename 3000 files with a new Base name beginning 'Base' the process reported it had completed and did not provide any additional messages - but checking the result not all files were renamed and a large number were left behind with the original Base name.
