Elemets 11 stopped working with the "windows is checking for a solution" message but nothing after that. I have tried the Ctrl,Alt,shift. Delete Elements settings but this has not worked.
View 12 RepliesI am trying to run Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the splash screen goes away and the main gui opens. The only option on the error is "Close Program".
I am on a computer with an i7 processor and 12GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, running four monitors.
Over the course of the last day, I have reformatted my computer, and reinstalled Windows twice. I have reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite more times than I can remember. I have also downloaded and installed the latest video card drivers from Nvidia.
I continue to have the same problem every time I try to open any of the programs in the CS5 suite.The only time I have come close to getting it to work was immediately after installing the new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I was able to open it one time without it crashing, Once I restarted my computer, Photoshop continued to give me the same error every time I try to open it.
I have no other software installed on my computer. It is a brand new installation of Windows 7.I have been on the phone with Adobe technical suuport for about an hour and a half, and I have yet to get a single suggestion other than attempting an install with my network cable unplugged. Other than that, they seem to be fond of transfering me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all of my information every time).
Photoshop was working yesterday, but now I'm getting this message:
"Adobe Photoshop has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop numberous times, tried to reset the preferences numberous times, and still get the same message.

I downloaded and installed cs6 for windows 7 32 bit and cant open it to use,i get the message" adobe photoshop cs6 has stopped working" I have tried different graphics drivers but still the same. My other adobe softaware works fine,IE: elements11 and lightroom4.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am no longer able to import any new files into Lightroom. I was in the middle of an import and all of a sudden it stopped and the program hung. I am running Win 7 64 with an i7 with 12 gigs of RAM. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom multiple times (Using both the windows installer and via Lightroom and then searched to see if there were any orpne files on my drive. ) , did a system restore to a point about a month ago, tried importing a simple jpeg file from the hard drive as well as CR2 files (Canon) and even DNG files. Also tried setting up a new catalog with no success. Plenty of hard drive space and no drive errors. There is nothing wrong with the files as I can open them in Photoshop. I can see the files on the import screen though they are not always rendered. When I choose import it just starts, says Importing files and hangs. When I finally give up, and I have waited an hour or more, and kill the process I get the message - No photos or videos were found to import. Other tidbits. Takes a long time to be able to select files to import from the import screen. System seems to run for some time before I can select or deselect (If this were a Mac it would show a beach ball during this wait) Each time I quit or try to change catalogues it asks for the weekly backup (my default) even though I backed it up sometimes as recently as within the past 10 minutes and those backups appear to be valid and in the directory. Every other feature, including Export seems to work I just can no longer import files.

When i open Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, which i have used for quite some time and its always worked, it now had a blank window pop up and it will no longer let me create new documents, open old ones or use any features. Basically it just freezes and doesn't even let me quit the program, i have to force quit it every time.

The next photo I went to use the healing brush and received an error notice that I usually associate with the cloning tool. View 4 Replies View RelatedThe lasso selection tool in PSE9 is malfunctioning. When I draw a selection, I immediately get a message saying: "Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."
This is the kind of message I would normally get when I select wrong numbers for feathering. But now the message comes up when I use the lasso tool to try to select an area. When I hit cancel the message, the selection disappears. But the pulldown menu shows that I can "deselect." When I do that, and start all over, I get the same problem.
I quit and restarted PSE9 to try to fix this but it didn't work. Then I restarted my Mac computer, but that didn't fix it either
I have been using PSE 11 (version 11.0) for several months on 27" iMac with OS X Lion (version 10.7.5). One of my favorite tools is the spot healing brush with content aware option. For some reason it suddenly stopped working! The black circle doesn't appear when I click my mouse. I have reset the tool to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Elements for quite a few years and have had no problem in resizing images until last week. I often use the option of resizing using the cm measurements I want. When I tried this on my laptop last week the programme would not allow me to change any of the figures in the resizing dialog box. I tried cm, pixels and percentage and none of them would work.
I tried a number of different images from one file but could not resize any of them however I opened an image from another file which I know i have resi9zed in the past and this time the function worked fine.
I copied the image I couldn't resize to my main computer which also has Photoshop Elements and the resize function worked fine on this computer.
I uninstalled Elements and then re-installed it on my laptop but still have the same problem. I also have Photosphop Cs4 on my laptop and the resize function has stopped working in this programme as well.
Photoshop elements 11 running windows 7, have been using Photoshop elements 11 for approximately a year, this morning can't get it to launch, get the message program has stopped working with the APPCRASH problem message. Tried resetting to default preferences and shutting offf the firewall, still the same.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDetail Smart Brush use to have the same brightness as Smart Brush as in Bright Eyes, Whiten Teeth, etc. Now when I use Smart Brush, I get the same brightness as always, but when I try to use the Detail Brush, it is darker than Smart Brush. It used to be that I could go over an area as many times as I wanted without an accumulation of brightness with the Detail Brush. Now if I go over an area I already went over, it lightens it more. Have I done something to cause this? How can I get it back to the way it was before (and the way I can still use Elements 11 which I did not uninstall). I tried Sign Out, uninstall and making a new install but the problem was there again. Is it possible that this was updated by Adobe and intentionally changed?
