Every layer has turned to white. The layers have colors set to them and everything is set to color by layer, but everything turned to white. It happened either after I printed or exerted the layer dialogue box, I can't recall. How can I get things to go back to show the colors they are.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have several paperspace tabs on my drawing. When I create a new layer on the drawing, I have to go to every tab and viewport to turn on or off the new layer. Is there a way to create a layer that is turned off in all the drawing viewports and tabs. Then, I only have to go to the paperspace tab and viewport I want the layer to be seen and turn it on.

I want my layer ON but locked, what can I do?
I have a plan view of a residential building. I want to remove some columns. I may need them later so I don't want to delete them.
I want to move them to a new layer (layer name: hiddenObject) and turn this layer off to unshow them.
When I move them and turn that layer off, first, the color of those objects didn't turn to layer's color and second they don't disappear.
What is wrong with my procedure?
So... every layer has to be turned on and thawed? But that's the direction things seem to be going. If I want to see my contours, for example, all layers associated with them must be on and thawed. Yes? No?
This makes drafting and designing more difficult and it unnecessarily clutters the screen. Once I'm done creating a surface, for example, I don;t want to see the intermediate entities again (unless I need to make changes). All I want to see is the finished product that will appear on the plans, i.e. contours, etc.

For some reason points are still visible when the layer they are on is turned off. Also the layer is green but the point is red. Color is set to ByLayer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just had C3D 2013 reinstalled on my LT and having a surface visibility issue. This may be just a command setting issue but I have a surface and created it on a particular layer that I can't make invisible.
Then I turned that layer off so I could work on other things. Now when I do a REGEN that surface becomes visible in my drawing yet the layer identified in its properties is turned off.
If I got to VIEW and ORBIT the surface disappears until I stop rotating then it’s visible again. I like to control visibility by turning layers on or off but this isn’t allowing me to turn it off.
If I make the surface layer current and do a rebuild the surface moves back to that layer and I can then turn that layer off to make the surface invisible.
Why is this surface visible when its layer is turned off?
Is there a setting somewhere that will allow you to turn off a layer automatically when another layer is turned off?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI shot an event for a couple (a reception) and I didn't have my gray card so I set my Canon 5D mkII on auto white balance (shooting with a Canon 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85 1.4). As you'll see from the two example photos - the shots taken in the venue lobby looked fine, but the shots from inside the event itself were amazingly saturated. The room had a ton of very bright uplighting in purple and pink - the shots looked fine in the viewfinder, but once I brought them into LR4, there was a nearly complete purple/pink cast over everything. Setting the white balance in LR to auto, tungsten, flourescent - nothing worked. Adjusting the temp sliders - only slightly better. Reducing vibrance and saturation useful a little more, but I'm really having a hard time finding a fix!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI added an Axis FX to the clip on the timeline and entered the Editor. Everything looks fine. I see the clip loaded above the control parameters. The "Layer" button is turned on. Stabilizer/Track is set to Track. When i click on the Stabilizer button to enter the tracking editor, I see the tracking box on a black screen, the clip is not visible anymore.

This have a secondary effect and it's corel hangs up when i try to print the file, start to make the "previous checkings" and never ends.
I have a multilayered psd file. All layers should remain opaque except the black to white gradient layer where I need the white to be transparent. So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to find all instances, references, etc, of a layer and change it to another layer. I'm not talking about lines and objects or even blocks, but more like properties nested inside of wall styles and cleanup definitions, anything like that. I can't use the QSELECT or any similar command because the layer in question is being referenced inside of individual styles (i'm guessing that's the only place).
We drew our interior walls and our exterior shell for our building on two different drawings so that two people could work on them at the same time. They were xref'd into each other. We got to a point where we needed to put them back into one drawing so I binded the Shell Xref into the interior drawing. This saved us a lot of time but now all the layers from the Shell drawing have this prefix to it "01Shell&0&". This isn't really a problem but I'm a bit OCD and it bothers me to have two different layers for the same thing, one regular and one with the prefix. It means everytime we change the properties of a layer, we have to do it twice. I've already changed everything I could back to the original layers but the Shell layers still show up from time to time. They are nested deep inside of wall styles and custom cleanup properties, custom encaps, and so on.

I am trying to set up a Plot Style for the office and have gone through the standard procedures to do this, but can not get it to print in black/white. I am trying to set up a universal plot style that everyone uses.
I have attached my screen showing my plot style manager settings.
I have a a graphic image from a client to use as signage on my 3d model. In photoshop I have isolated the letters and the logo only by erasing the background. No color is in the background, not white nor black, it is transparent in Photoshop.
I saved the image as a .jpg, .tif .tga. and .bmp. Any of these raster images, when inserted into the drawing, shows the background as white. I cannot undertsand how to make it transparent so it looks like letters painted on the wall.
I have changed IMAGEFRAME set to 0 - no change, I have set properties TRANSPARENCY to YES but no change.
Am I missing a step, or does the program always show raster images in a box?

and i can not find the way to change it into black and can not change it in option-->drafting
When I insert a pdf it does not have a white background and it REALLY slows down CAD. I played with the contrast and fade but the image gets worse. The best I can get the image to look is having the contrast set to 100 and the fade set to 0. I have used this pdf in other projects using 2004 and 2007 but with 3013 it is inserting it quite differently.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a simple model of two desk units. I also have a large rectangular area under them with a carpet texture applied. The desks each have two textures/materials applied. I am rendering to a viewport at 640x480, with shadows on and "high" quality. I have 4 point light sources in the model. When I render to viewport, it all looks great. But when I plot or plot preview, all of the detail/textures/materials in the horizontal surfaces are gone and it plots as completely white in those areas and also shows it white in plot preview.
Attached are two images. RENDER A is a screenshot of the correct image rendered on screen and RENDER B is a screenshot of the plot preview screen showing the white areas (which is also how it really prints).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am getting these white "ghost" boxes with every copy, move or mirror command. They can be individually deleted but that takes too long. The more there are the slower each command takes, to the point a copy can take over a minute. If I save and close then when I reopen they are gone -- until I execute a command. This is unique to a single file I recieved from a friend using a PC based Autocad; I use Autocad for Mac. I had no trouble with his file until I did a "Save As" and used it as a base for a new file. Now, every file that is a copy of it, even any file in which I x-ref it, has the same problem. All of my original, older files are fine. There is simply too much work in these (now) five files to start over. See attached.

The box opens fine, but I can't see anything within the dialogue box. The file that is currently open shows through into the dialogue box.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I hover the cursor / pickbox over a line, in about 1 second a small box (approx. 1" x 1" on the screen) pops open immediately next to the cursor - which lists the Color, Layer and Linetype of the line. As you move the cursor around the screen, these little boxes are constantly popping open - which is very distracting. How do you turn off this feature?
