In paper space, some of my drawings lose color palette showing only black and white, some others not. How can I change the settings make all drawings looking unanimous in colors?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a a graphic image from a client to use as signage on my 3d model. In photoshop I have isolated the letters and the logo only by erasing the background. No color is in the background, not white nor black, it is transparent in Photoshop.
I saved the image as a .jpg, .tif .tga. and .bmp. Any of these raster images, when inserted into the drawing, shows the background as white. I cannot undertsand how to make it transparent so it looks like letters painted on the wall.
I have changed IMAGEFRAME set to 0 - no change, I have set properties TRANSPARENCY to YES but no change.
Am I missing a step, or does the program always show raster images in a box?

When I insert a pdf it does not have a white background and it REALLY slows down CAD. I played with the contrast and fade but the image gets worse. The best I can get the image to look is having the contrast set to 100 and the fade set to 0. I have used this pdf in other projects using 2004 and 2007 but with 3013 it is inserting it quite differently.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has started to happen to me recently, working across indesign and Photoshop, for some cutouts it is easier to have a "pure white" background (0%c, 0%m, 0%y, 0%k) rather than transparency, it keeps down file sizes and speeds up workflow etc - plus sometimes press images just come like that.
recently I have noticed that some images, despite being saved as a "pure white" background, are coming out with 1%c, 1%m, 1%y, 0%k backgrounds once I re-open them. Doesn't matter if I save, Save as, copy the image, duplicate it, I keep getting the 1% color back in. This is occasionally causing problems with printers.
I am fairly new to PSE and I want to create an oval vignette in Photoshop Elements 10 with transparent background for printing on white paper using MS Publisher. Using the white background on inverse selection makes a slight line impression and either it should have a defined "frame" or nothing.

Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

Any way to print sheets from AutoCAD onto one sheet of paper, side-by-side?
The reason this came up is because yesterday I printed a half size set on our new plotter using twice the paper I needed. Each sheet printed on half of a 36”x12” sheet of paper (print is 18”x12”). I was throwing away 18” per print. What would be awesome is to be able to get another print onto that wasted 18”.
how to get two (or more) prints on one sheet of paper?
Here it is 2013, two years after Renovation mode was integrated.
Every once in a while, I have a residential renovation and try to use this Renovation Mode. Problem is using it with PN. Works great in The Construct, but try to create a View and then stick that on a sheet - And like many other Autocad features, there is painfully little to no valuable documentation.
The question: how do you successfully use Reno.Mode with PN?
I have a small renovation project. Was able to set the Existing, Demo & New work fine - in the Construct. But when setting up the Views (i.e. A Demo Plan and a New Plan) the whole thing falls apart - I can't figure out how to turn on just the Demo plan in the Demo View; and just the New Plan in a New View.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created a block in the model tab with the annotative scale set at 1'-0" = 1'-0" with the UCS set to World. When the block is inserted in model space either on the model tab or thru viewport it displays and prints correctly. However when the same block is inserted into paperspace on a layout tab the block appears correctly but when printed either hardcopy or PDF it is rotated 90 degress around its insertion. This malfunctions the same whether it is inserted directly or nested in a legend block.
It is also not one particular block or drawing but (mal)functions across drawings and block definitions.
I really don't want to have to make two sets of blocks for the project.
Okay so I'm trying to take the white background off of a picture using the select a color on white, but it takes out a lot or the fur and eyes(it's a picture of a cartoon cat) How can I remove the areas of can from the selection without removing the pieces of cat too.
It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
I am trying to get renovation mode to work properly. When i use it it seems to change item that existing to a new layer on color 8 (I specified color 8), but not to by layer. I want to be able to assign an item and have the color be set to by layer instead of a forced color.
It also changes everything in the drawing. Say i have multiple objects on layer A-Wall, it changes all those objects instead of just the one i select.
I have found that since installing the service pack for 2014, xclips in paper space have become blank, or, on occasion, 1 will show, but others won't. The invert still works, strangely enough.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can select mtext in paper space to edit it. I can create a new text object and select it but I am unable to select existing mtext objects. Audit and recover does not eliminate it. Everything is at 0 elevation. The only to select it is to write block the entire drawing out. That gets sort of inconvenient. Is there a variable that is getting set like the imageframe variables that prevents me from select the text?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI created a logo and then opened it as a layer so that I can make a website header image. It is shown here [URL] and as you can see the background is an off-white colour. I used the WBLOCK command to make the title block into its own saved block, but when I insert it into the paperspace of the drawing that I want to use the title block in the drawing of the title block is larger than the white rectangle which represents the paper. I can insert viewports and print the drawing fine, but the drawing of my title block being larger than the white area of the paperspace bugs me. How do I make it bigger?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe've been working with adding schedule tags in paper space for objects nested within an xref. The first time you do this however, the manual properties (it seems) do not update if the value of the manual property is changed back in the xref dwg. However, the Automatic properties do seem to update.
When we initially found this we past it off as a limitation. However, one of our users was experimenting and found that the first time you tag the xref resident object... the schedule tag reads the correct manual properties value. However, If you remove the property set from the schedule tag... then the manual property will update correctly showing the current value as it is back in the xref dwg even if it is changed.
This makes complete sense as the manual property set data can be edited from either the tag or the object or from the schedule... IF THE TAG and the object are resident in the same drawing file - in this case you DO NOT want to delete the property set from the tag... if you do this the property set is also removed from the object. However, when tagging objects nested within an xref, then you need to remove the property set from the tag... THEN the manual property will update correctly.
way to change the background color (color outside the "paper" in paperspace?
The light gray that I can't seem to change, is suboptimal for me.
