View 2 Replies“annotation scale” on the lay out mode,
I’m not sure about the current “annotation scale” in case of lay out mode.
Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?
i have created a presentation where i have frozen some layers in the object field. but later on when i create new layers of course they appear in this presentation until i freeze them. is there a clue to lock the presentation at a state to avoid updating the presentation by freezing manually each new layer .

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been running into a frustrating limitation with certain keyboard shotcuts for Nitrous display modes. For example, if I try to use my old 2011 shortcut for "Viewport Box Mode Toggle", the bounding box displays on TOP of the current shaded/wire mode instead of toggling. If I change the assignment to the new Nitrous command "Viewport Visual Style Bounding Box", it is no longer a TOGGLE key and to go back I must then use the key assigned to "Viewport Visual Style Wireframes/Shaded" (or classic "Wireframe/Smooth+Highlights Toggle")...
BUT...
In Nitrous both of these wire/shaded toggle commands do not work properly if you are changing from another display type (such as box). Instead of toggling between wire/shaded, they toggle between wire and the last display mode. So in essence there is no way to toggle between Box and Shaded without r-clicking on the viewport label every time you want to return to shaded mode as far as I can tell. Not being able to quickly toggle Box mode really screws up my work flow, so for now I'm reverting back to DirectX.
I have a viewport that is not showing the hatch pattern. In one layout tab, the hatch shows. In another tab, the hatch does not. The layer is not frozen or off, on the sheet or in the viewport.
Other items and hatch patterns on that same layer show up. The display is set to 2D wireframe. I even cut - paste a viewport from the working layout tab to the non-working layout tab and the pattern disappears.
How to make shadows on the print in Viewport? You can see the result I would to achieve on the PIC.1 and PIC.2.I have done just PIC.3 - there are not shadows.
I was using Visual Style on the PIC.4 in Shadow Plot setting in properties of Viewport. How to goal shadows? Im using AutoCAD Architecture 2013
When clicking into an unlocked viewport, to switch from paper to model space, the viewport automatically zooms to extents.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHere it is 2013, two years after Renovation mode was integrated.
Every once in a while, I have a residential renovation and try to use this Renovation Mode. Problem is using it with PN. Works great in The Construct, but try to create a View and then stick that on a sheet - And like many other Autocad features, there is painfully little to no valuable documentation.
The question: how do you successfully use Reno.Mode with PN?
I have a small renovation project. Was able to set the Existing, Demo & New work fine - in the Construct. But when setting up the Views (i.e. A Demo Plan and a New Plan) the whole thing falls apart - I can't figure out how to turn on just the Demo plan in the Demo View; and just the New Plan in a New View.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow or where to configure the 'Software' viewport graphic mode? Actually I'd like to change the texture map size, at least. In Max preferences, the only think I can change is "Download map size", what is it about, but obviously it's not the map size in viewport.
The reason why I need this is very bad texture quality in the viewports..
after loading the background image in the usual way you do its visible in all modes except when you switch to wireframe, which is the most likely time when you do want to see it. Maybe something to do with the nitrous viewport thingy, dont know?. Running a 64 bit os on a quad core system with 12 gb of ram and an invidia quadro 3800 card. Like to say that the nirous viewer is a great improvement for viewport accuracy , only seems to work with four lights though?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using ACA 2012 and when I insert a view into a sheet, the text and dimensions in the view do not display. I have checked the view and the text and dimensions are on layers that should display in the sheet. The layers are on and thawed in the viewport on the sheet, but do not show up. I have turned on all layers and only the model (building information) shows, no text or dimensions.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get renovation mode to work properly. When i use it it seems to change item that existing to a new layer on color 8 (I specified color 8), but not to by layer. I want to be able to assign an item and have the color be set to by layer instead of a forced color.
It also changes everything in the drawing. Say i have multiple objects on layer A-Wall, it changes all those objects instead of just the one i select.
We have an intern that has somehow made it impossible for her to edit inside viewports(switching to model space) on her layouts. None of us has seen this before and do not know how to reverse what she has done. This happens with any drawing she opens. She can edit when in the model space tab, but when she goes to one of the layout tabs and double clicks on the viewport she cannot edit. The viewports are not locked.
We have had several people look at it and cannot find what command or setting she changed. She does not have admin rights so I do not think she could have run a script. She is not familiar with AutoCAD Architecture, her experience has been limited to Revit.
Since I installed autocad architecture 2012 I have this problem. When I drag a view from the project navigator in a sheet I see the content and the option to set a scale. So far so good. When I click in the sheet to set the location the viewport goes empty. I can stretch the viewport to top left to get the drawing within range and then move it back to where I want to place the drawing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I pick rendered for my shadeplot on a viewport, none of the materials applied to multi-view blocks show up. Is this common or is there a fix?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a fairly simple 3D model in ACAD ARCH 2011. I am rendering it to a viewport on a layout that contains the company border / title block. If I render the model (presentation quality) to model space and send that to the printer (color laser) the print comes out in about 60 seconds or less. However, if I render the same image and quality to the viewport on the layout and send that to the printer, it takes between 10 and 15 minutes for the image to print. The layout is simple - just line workd border and title block. The images are identicla when finally printed.
Why does it take SOOOO much longer to print when with a layout as opposed to not with a layout? The rendering to screen takes the smae amount of time either way - it's just the printing procvess that is bogged down by using a layout.

Whenever I want to pan I get the 'hand'. I click and drag...no prob. However, I want to do a controled pan (to fix a moved elevation in a viewport on a sheet). I want to click a point, and then pan, say, 50' orthogonally. Is this possible?

I can't seem to change a viewport in layout view to show my drawing properly. No matter what I do the page only shows a very zoomed in view or a very zoomed out view. I have tried all menu options witht he word scale in, including the scale list. I have looked in the properties inspector.
