Feb 17, 2012I have made a copy of AIA (256 Colot) Key style and renamed. Made some additions and modifications to my new layer key style. Where do I make this new key style the current style.

AutoCAD Architecture :: Loading Layer Key Style From Template
Oct 25, 2012Trying to autoload and update the current & or new drawing to the most recent form or the LKS
This is what my lisp file has
(AecImportLayerKeyingStyle "D:drawingsLibraryAusContent13Aus-Layer&LayerKeyStyles.dwg" "Multi-Level")
(AecSetCurrentLayerKeying "Multi-Level")
On loading drawing, ACA returns
AutoCAD Architecture menu utilities loaded.ERROR: Unable to import the style 'Multi-Level' from 'D:drawingsLibraryAusContent13Aus-Layer&LayerKeyStyles.dwg'
The LKS already exists in the drawing. Renaming it and pasting the first line to the command line results in a nil return and the LKS is not imported.
Format seems correct. Path is correct. It can't not import because it's already in the drawing. Renaming existing does nothing.
AutoCAD Architecture :: Text In Dimension Style
May 1, 2013I'm using different dimension styles for different scales on my drawing, however, if i change one dimension style text to a certain size, all of the others change too, is there something i'm doing wrong? I need every dimension style to be its own text size, but i'm having to manually change them every time.

Apr 12, 2012I have two created wall styles, one is a stud wall with gyp bd each side, the other is a cmu wall with gyp bd each side. I want to use a solid hatch which I am able to do but the problem is one wall style the stud hatch is HATCH 1 and in the other wall style the CMU hatch is HATCH 2. It seems as though the two wall styles are tied together some how for if I turn on / off a hatch in one of the wall styles it turns on / off the hatch in the other wall style.

Sep 26, 2012I need to find all instances, references, etc, of a layer and change it to another layer. I'm not talking about lines and objects or even blocks, but more like properties nested inside of wall styles and cleanup definitions, anything like that. I can't use the QSELECT or any similar command because the layer in question is being referenced inside of individual styles (i'm guessing that's the only place).
We drew our interior walls and our exterior shell for our building on two different drawings so that two people could work on them at the same time. They were xref'd into each other. We got to a point where we needed to put them back into one drawing so I binded the Shell Xref into the interior drawing. This saved us a lot of time but now all the layers from the Shell drawing have this prefix to it "01Shell&0&". This isn't really a problem but I'm a bit OCD and it bothers me to have two different layers for the same thing, one regular and one with the prefix. It means everytime we change the properties of a layer, we have to do it twice. I've already changed everything I could back to the original layers but the Shell layers still show up from time to time. They are nested deep inside of wall styles and custom cleanup properties, custom encaps, and so on.

Jan 10, 2012I'm new to Architecture Desktop (especially 2012), I dabbled with it a little bit years ago.
I'm doing a floor plan and I want to change one door to a double door. I changed the style and it changed all the doors. So I did a search and saw something about doing a style override in the "Edit Object Display." So, I checked all the "Object Override" boxes in there. Buuut...when I right click on that door and do "Edit Door Style" it still changes ALL the doors in the drawing to double doors.

Mar 18, 2013I'm adjusting a photographic image and am using both a filter effect and a layer style in the same layer on a Smart Object. I want to separate the two effects into two layers, so one layer has the filter effect (Nik) and one layer has the layer style (Color Overlay) (with the goal of merging/rasterizing the Nik filter effect with the Smart Object but keeping the layer style unmerged). I can make two layers and move one effect without problem, but the visual result of each effect on a separate layer is quite different from having both effects in the same layer. The Blend Mode for all my layers is Normal. Within the Color Overlay panel, the blend mode is Linear Burn.

Feb 19, 2009I'm using a clipping mask on a layer. The base layer that the clipping mask is referencing has a layer effect applied (in this case an inner shadow). I want to make it so the layer effect is only applied to the base layer and NOT the clipped layers.
Below is an example of what I'm talking about. as you can see, layer 1 has the base layer's inner shadow applied to it. I want the inner shadow to be hidden by Layer 1, but the clipping mask to still apply.

Mar 16, 2012Im trying to change the table style formatting and nothing seems to stick. I want to turn the border off in the title cell and only use a thick underline.
I change the schedule cell, save changes to the style and Ive tried saving as a new style but when I reinsert the cell format is gone. Back to the out of the box state.
Also, when I save the OTB style to my new A3 Sheet Keynote style the new style doesnt match what was saved.

Feb 26, 2013I have a slab with a edge style for a thicken slab (haunch). I have the materials for both objects identical. When I make a 2d section, the slab on top of the haunch does not clean up with the haunch on the bottom. When I go ACA out of the box slab & slab edge styles, there is a thicken slab (slab with haunch) live section the way it should look. I can't reproduce it even when I bring it in to my drw. from the out-of-box Does it have something to do with 2d section? This might sound simple but I'm just not able to figure it out how to make things cleanup.

Nov 1, 2013We're transitioning from ACA2012 to ACA2014. I'm also trying to get away from putting my blocks in DesignCenter and having our users insert Annotation (tags) from the Ribbon bar.
When I insert our door tag (or any schedule tag) from the ribbon bar, it is automatically changing the text style to the current text style. I'd rather it just use the style built into the tag. I know that can be controlled in the Designcenter content (right-click) - but how do I change that from the ribbon bar?
