View 4 RepliesI created a macro for generate a PDF drawing, but when one file has been already created, AND he's already open, the macro don't work.
How to stop the macro automatically and notify that the macro has been stopped because the file is open.
Below, the current macro :

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+ and when I try to render a completed video to a file I receive this error message. The video is a little large, one hour fourteen minutes, so I cut it in half, saving it under a different name and it still gave me the same error message. However, if I render a very small clip then it renders as it's suppose to.
I've never had this trouble before. I reloaded the software for 11+ but that didn't work.
When i am taking uv snapshot, an error is seeing.

As an engineering company we have started to convert hundreds of our drawings from AutoCAD to PDF using a batch utility.
However every file that is converted into a PDF file is opened by a PDF Viewer. We want to prevent this.
I opened my *.pc3 file and removed the check from the appropriate box. See below
I press OK, then save the file and close. However when I reopen the file, I see the box for Openining in PDF Viewer has been rechecked. No matter what I do, I cannot permanently remove the check from this box.
I am trying to open a drawing file programmatically(automatically).
So for example.
If I have a file name "test.dwg" and run some custom command like 'openfile", AutoCAD opens "test.dwg" without any prompt.
The following code DOESN'T do the job I want.
Application.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument.SendStringToExecute("OPEN", true, false, true)
The problem is I have to hit enter after the above code is run.
I have some dwg files, shp files, images, and sdf files in my C: . I am using AutoCAD Map 3D 2011. When I try to open one of the dwg files it is showing a warnng message "Failed to open FDO connection".
View 2 Replies View RelatedA co-worker and I came in this morning and both of our inventors are giving us this Faild to Open error. We run on single user accounts and we do not use vault. I then tried to backup all of my documents, but it would not let me backup either. I did a properties on the folder and it showed everything was read only. I click off read only and it let me backup. But still will not let me open a model part or assembly??? I tried turning off Avast and that did nothing either. We are still running 2008. Inventor and Autocad.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I choose Open Drawing and the window pops up, it would be nice if the full path name of the file showed up on the bar where it shows the file name (see attachment). As it is I can't tell if this file is on my c drive or my back-up drive.
The individual drawings show the full path name once they're open, can the same be achieved with the Open Drawing window?
I just want to know how will I open a drawing file if its saved on an older version and I am using a latest version of autocad.

When I try to open a raw (NEF) image from my Nokon D800, I get an error box titled "Photoshop cannot open this file". I looked for updates after installing CS6 but none were found. What's the deal? I read that the D800 was supported in the CS6 release.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 4 and as soon as I click to open the lightroom 4 application and message box pops up saying "assertion failed!" and then it doesn'tt open the program. I was working earlier but then my laptop has a bad battery and when I was editing in lightroom 4 my laptop shut off without warning (same thing as just pulling the power cable out of the outlet of a desktop when its on without shutting it off first). But anyways I have windows 7 and so I can get back to work. I was also hoping that I could fix this issue without erasing all the editing I did and all the pictures I have in lightroom.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using VideoStudio Pro X2 for the past 2 years and it has been working just fine since, up until mid last week. I was rolling right along, creating MPEG-2's of the Classic 39 Honeymooners episodes, until I got up to Episode 24, when I started getting the 'Failed to open the MPEG encoder' error message. I searched through this forum to find any possible solution and the only solutions I found were to check to see if the MPEG-2 encoder CODEC is installed, which it appears to be according to the InstalledCodec utility and to uninstall/reinstall VS, which I did. I still receive the same error message, however. What could cause it to go from working one moment, to not working the next?
I tried to attach a text file listing all of the installed codecs on my system, so you can look to see if the needed codecs are installed, however I was unable to attach the file...says 'extension not allowed'. How to upload the file.
I can publish my assembly to a dwf using the express option, but can't using the the custom or complete options.
I have gone into the sub assemblies and tried to publish from them - 2 of them work 2 of them give the same error message.
I then went into their sub assemblies and was able to publish them (so that's 2 levels down now).
I have used rebuild all - working my way back to the top level assembly.
I have some sheet metal components in the various assemblies.
I have autocad civil 3d 2008 in my pc. From last 2 days I got a different problem i.e. when I am selecting open / save command from File menu graphical file select explorer is not opening just message in the command window . Previously I used to select files using graphical file explorer.

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+. The 'vsp' file is too long...One hour fourteen minutes. I made a 'Part 1' and cut the vsp to forty-five minutes and still received the same error message.
I cut the 'vsp' to one minute thirty seconds and it would "Create a Video File'. I've never had this problem before.
It seems with Ulead VideoStudio 11+ whenever I have a problem like this I can resolve it, by backing up all the files, then removing the program, thoroughly clean the hard drive and re-install 11+.
I would like to report on a latest problem i encountered.
I dunno why, but when it started to run a part fill analysis, Inventor prompted me that it ""Failed to create a new study file".
I tried restarting inventor and still, nothing happened. Moreover, i tried another file and it worked. How come for this part it didnt?
i have various files which I cannot copy elements of into other drawings.
when i use the ctrol+copy command, I get the "copy to clipboard failed". This has only started since I upgraded to AutoCAD2012.
