AutoCAD 2010 :: Not Responding When Picking Open Or New?
Feb 22, 2012AutoCAD has been working on my laptop for many months. All of a sudden when I start AutoCAD and do the "open" or "new" command, the software says "not responding". If I set variable "FILEDIA" to 0 it prompts me for the file name. I have tried to repair, uninstall and reinstall the software and it does the same thing.

Mar 9, 2012As an engineering company we have started to convert hundreds of our drawings from AutoCAD to PDF using a batch utility.
However every file that is converted into a PDF file is opened by a PDF Viewer. We want to prevent this.
I opened my *.pc3 file and removed the check from the appropriate box. See below
I press OK, then save the file and close. However when I reopen the file, I see the box for Openining in PDF Viewer has been rechecked. No matter what I do, I cannot permanently remove the check from this box.

Mar 22, 2011I am unable to use the file command open, new etc. I click on open and nothing happens no file box opens. As soon as you do anything else the program says not responding and you have to close it down. I can click on an autocad file in windows explorer and bring up the file this way but as soon as you try any file command such as save as the program freezes again. I am running windows 7 professional and the autocad LT 2011 64 bit program.

Dec 10, 2013I just installed Autodesk Inventor Pro 2014 as a student for my engineering class and I have yet to get it to work properly. Every time I try to open the program, it will open to the main selection page. But the first click I do on the screen causes it to say 'not responding'. I have to close the program and try opening it again. The second time, it does not even get past the opening screen. It freezes and I end up having to log off of my user and log back in. I have the 64-bit version that matches my computer.

Jan 7, 2013How do I get my Sheet Set Manager to open up each time I open a CAD drawing? I turned it off and can't remember how to turn it back on. I use command SSautoopen, set to 1 but doesn't alway work. Sometimes if I close AutoCad and reopen it I can got to drop down menu and click on .dst extension and it will open but if I close out of it it won't open again unless I restart AutoCAD. I thought I used a command from the Express Tool menu but can't find it.

Nov 11, 2013I have been using CS6 for quite sometime with no much issues at all. All the sudden, today, without any changes being made in my computer (iMAC IOS 10.9) the software stopped opening files when I went FILE/OPEN and selecting the file to open (jpg). CS6 opens "finder" and then quickly the finder window disappears (so no time to make any selection,,this is not related to a type of file since...I can never get to even select one..) and the message "Could not complete your request because of a program error". The only option is to click OK and that is it.
I now need to go and open finder and then navigate through to the file and the right click and choose Open with CS6 (anf the file opens)..

Dec 12, 2012Working on a client job, I created a photoshop cs6 document. Now I can't open the document anymore. Program error message.I always make different versions when working on a job. When I have to make an important change I save a new version of my work. All the previous versions won't open either.
I still have my Photoshop cs5 installed on my computer. Tried that and it worked. All the files open in cs5 but won't open in cs6.I remember taking some work home where I have cs4 running on the laptop.

When I open more than one drawing the second drawing that I open does not show (but is opened) I see the first drawing that was already open. If I open a third drawing, the same thing happens the first drawing shows ( but the second and third are both open).
Is this something to do with changing the Quick View Drawings Order?

Mar 28, 2012Everytime I try to open my saved drawing, it just opens autocad 2012 with drawing1. I've been working on this drawing for weeks, and have saved and opened it many times without problem, and was working on it this morning and saved it again. Now, i've come back and it will no longer open. I can open other saved dwg files no problem. I've tried renaming the .bak file as a .dwg but that still won't work.

Jun 10, 2012When I have 2 files open, one minimized and the other visible on the screen, when I quit the file showing on the screen and then open the one that was minimized, it comes up w/a blank black screen. There is no way I have found to get the info in the file to display.
Then, if I save the blank screenof previously minimized file, close it then reopen it the info is back on screen with changes made to the file intact.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Missing Shx Files When Open Drawing - Specify Replacement For Each
Jun 14, 2012when I open a drawing that's missing an shx file I get a dialog box (see attached). I put a check mark in the "always perform current choice" item and select the "Specify a replacement for each shx file". I assume this replaces the missing shx file with the default shx file. But if I send the drawing to someone else they get the same message. Did the shx file not get replaced or do I need to do something further?

The problem is, when i try to Extrude objects, the screen turns into black for a second and a warning says GPU is not responding. Also the notebook has another GPU of Intel within the CPU.
