View 1 RepliesI am trying out the free trial of LR4. My OS is Windows 7. The program is constantly freezing up and posting "Not Responding" at the top of my screen. I really dolike the program and would like to purchase it at the end of the trial, but only if the "Not Responding" stops.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from Elements 9 to Elements 11. Now when I work in the Organizer or Editor the program frequently freezes up and then displays the message "program not responding". If I wait long enough - several minutes - it begins to run again. I never had this problem with Elements 9
View 17 Replies View RelatedThe program works fine until I try to edit the boundary of the topography. As soon as I click "edit boundary", the screen goes black for about an hour, then comes back with about 25% loaded. This cycle repeats until the loading is complete, so it takes me a few hours just to enter edit mode. The file is only 17, 280 KB, and Ive been running 240,000 KB files without an issue whatsoever.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem that the software is not responding and freezing when creating new drawing or opening another one.
I have windows 7 64 bit Operating system installed on workstation Dell Machine
I look to a lot of discussion and I tried the mentioned ways but still same issue
FYI, this software was working fine with windows XP machine.
Ok, so I just got a new computer after having to deal with "Not Responding" from my old computer all the time just to find out I still have this issue with a brand new computer. It's really frustrating because it will do this all the time with small assemblies, big assemblies, parts, it doesn't matter. It also can be at any random moment from rotating the model to adding a constraint to saving. It doesn't seem to have any real pattern it just seems to happen all the time.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just loaded the student version of AutoCAD 2012 onto my brand new HP Pavilion Notebook which has 8 GB of memory - Processor AMD A8-3530MX with HP Graphics 1.90 GHz - running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have created a file in Adobe Illustrator which I converted to a vector image and exported it to AutoCAD. I have loaded the image and have cleaned it up. I am now trying to re-scale it and my session keeps freezing. When I look at the task manager I see that the program is not responding. I have ended the task many times now!
PSP X3: Been trying to run program for past several months but program keeps freezing. Working with JPEGs or Raw(NEF) files, doesn't matter. Cannot find any rhyme or reason. Seemed like the latest update worked, but tonight had problems again. No error messages. Sometimes I'm editing, sometimes I'm saving, sometimes I have 10 files open, sometimes just one - no apparent pattern. Fortunately, PSP X2 works fine. Win 7 Pro 64 bit was a clean install as was X3. I've even deinstalled and and reinstalled X3 one time, and still encounter the problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed Autodesk Inventor Pro 2014 as a student for my engineering class and I have yet to get it to work properly. Every time I try to open the program, it will open to the main selection page. But the first click I do on the screen causes it to say 'not responding'. I have to close the program and try opening it again. The second time, it does not even get past the opening screen. It freezes and I end up having to log off of my user and log back in. I have the 64-bit version that matches my computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Lightroom starting freezing recently. It says the program is not responding. I was on the phone with Tech Support two days ago. They re-loaded the program and I re-imported the catalog and it worked as usual, but today again the same problem surfaced; upon start-up of the program it locks up and if I click anywhere in the Lightroom window it says the program is not responding and whites out moments later a Window's message says the program is not responding giving me choices of "Close the program" or wait till it responds, which it never does. I see others that are having a similar issue with 4.2 . I have a Gareway computer with Windows 7 64 bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWorking on a Mac pro dual core with 16 g ram. Was last working on an image in develop module when I closed the app. On relaunching it opens to the image I was working on, shows the little box that says loading then the program freezes and I get the very loved spinning beach ball of color. Have to force quit. Have restarted computer and so far have the same problem every time I try to relaunch. I have about 20 images in the library. All was working well prior with just a little slowness in response with adjustment sliders.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe whole program is very sluggish, but when I go to import photos, is freezes while acquiring the thumbnails. If it comes out of the freeze, when I click import, it takes 30 minutes to get one photo then freezes again. If I cancel and close the program, it will not start again unless I restart the computer.

External USB 2: Western Digital 1TB
Previous Version of Lightroom: 1.4.1
Current Version of Lightroom: 3.4.1
Overview of Problem
When starting Lightroom the application is responsive and loads quickly. Everything appears to be normal until either the "Import Button" is clicked or the import function is accessed via the File/Import Photos menu path. When either of these routes are taken to import a photo Lightroom becomes very slow to respond. The "Import Button" will cause Lightroom to take 30 seconds to open the "Select a source" screen, however, once a source (resident hard drive file containing .jpg photos) is selected Lightroom attempts to crash then recovers itself and after 30 seconds the source will display. Attempting to access another like file in the menu structure will cause another 30 second delay.
Attempting to click away from the "Select a source" screen back to the main Lightroom parent screen will cause an immediate white screen with "Lightroom Not Responding" on the main program bar. This will happen with a click on the Parent or when using the Cancel button. Once again, Lightroom will recover itself from the crash and eventually load the Parent screen.
Attempting to once again return to the Import screen will start the entire process again.
At this point Lightroom is unstable and unusable.
What I Have Done
Action: Uninstalled Lightroom 1.4.1 Result: Bug Still Active
Action: Uninstalled Lightroom 3.4.1 and Re-Installed Result: Bug Still Active
Action: Updated to Lightroom 3.5 Result: Bug Still Active
Action: Completely Uninstalled Lightroom 3.5 and 3.4.1 deep enough (registry and every Lightroom associated file) to require Serials to be re-entered Result: Bug Still Active
Additional Actions: I have attempted intallations with all external USB devices disconnected and connected.
Note: Although there are only 4 Action items detailed I have attempted many different ways to resolve this Bug but with no success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have been using Lightroom 4.2 with our Canon camera for over a year. We uploaded some pictures on Friday and it worked as usual. We tried uploading pictures on Sunday and lightroom does not respond. We keep getting an error message stating "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit is not responding. If you close the program, you might lose information". Nothing changed with the camera settings or lightroom. After we couldn't get it to upload, we updated to lightroom 4.4, and it still doesn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to startup LR5.2 (local) and it all of a sudden did not get past the splash screen. It hung with a "Not Responding" in the title bar. I went to a backup file and the program seemed to operate normally. I did another backup to make sure I saved a good catalog. Today the same thing happened. I again went back to the backup and that did not seem to work. I have tried a number of things including deleting all of the preview files and upgrading to version 5.3.
Up until the other day LR5.2 was operating without any problems. One more thing. I finally got it to work by deleteling all of the preview files and going back to my backup. It starts up and seems to be ok; however, when I close the program and try to re-start .. it again does not get beyond the splash screen.
I have subscribed to the CC version of PS + LR but I am only using PS - have not downloaded LR5 for CC.
I did increase the RAW space to 30 Gig and there is 119 Gig of space on the hard drive. I use an i5 processor and run the 64 bit version of LR.
I have downloaded the trial version. I have around 22,000 photos and included are some videos. The import gets to around 6,000 inports and freezes. I am picking a folder and requesting all of the sub folders for the import.
Up until now I have been using ACDSee. Wanting to changeover to Lightroom, but need to make sure it can do the job with my existing data.
For the past week, my LR5.3 has been hanging when I am importing pictures, adding pictures to the Library or Exporting timelapse. Does caching directory have anything to do with it? is there a way to test the issue?

When using the Spot edit tool and my Wacom stylus it freezes lightroom for several seconds on certain files. Same file types and locations may not have the problem, but some do. Has happened on TIFs, PSDs and cR2s. The cursor disappears and will not show when placed over the LR window. I can access other windows and the cursor works fine. It does not tell me the program is not responding, but I can't do anything with it. After 30 seconds or so the cursor shows up and I can work. However, if I try to use the stylus and spot edit tool again on the same image, it will cause the cursor delay again. If I use my mouse, no delay. Sometimes it does not happen with Wacom stylus. From user stand point appears to be random which files it happens and which it doesn't.
I have just swapped from PC to Mac and in the process upgraded from LR 3 to LR 4. I have always had some minor issues with the spot removal tool occassionally jamming up or not working smoothly and taking a long time in LR3 on PC, but so far using the tool in LR 4 on Mac has been painful. It is like it is slow to load, and then the cursor/spot removal circle just dissapears or freezes? I want to be able to fix minor blemishes etc quickly in LR instead of having to go to PS
View 2 Replies View RelatedI uninstalled Lightroom, because it was too slow on my computer. It put a lot of library files and directories in My pictures folder.
When I use a backup program (SyncbackSE) to backup my pictures, it starts to scan all the Lightroom library files and it takes forever (hours and counting). Even though Windows cannot find the directories (with hidden and system files shown). I want to completely delete the Lightroom directories, because now I can't backup my images anymore. It is a pain in the dark places.
I get the message: Lightroom - opening catalog: img_8955.cr2.lrcat, when I try to open the program. I havn´t used Lightroom for a while. Now I tried to reinstall from My Adobe with no success.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot share photos from my Elements 8.0 Organizer via email. The program does not recognize that I have an email program loaded. The computer is a new HP desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 operating system. My Elements 8 does everything I need except for the photo sharing so I don't really want to purchase a new version.
