VideoStudio :: Error Message - Failed To Open MPEG Encoder
Jun 29, 2011
I completed a video and when I went to 'Create a Video File' I would receive the following error message...
"Failed to open MPEG encoder"
I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+. The 'vsp' file is too long...One hour fourteen minutes. I made a 'Part 1' and cut the vsp to forty-five minutes and still received the same error message.
I cut the 'vsp' to one minute thirty seconds and it would "Create a Video File'. I've never had this problem before.
It seems with Ulead VideoStudio 11+ whenever I have a problem like this I can resolve it, by backing up all the files, then removing the program, thoroughly clean the hard drive and re-install 11+.
I've been using VideoStudio Pro X2 for the past 2 years and it has been working just fine since, up until mid last week. I was rolling right along, creating MPEG-2's of the Classic 39 Honeymooners episodes, until I got up to Episode 24, when I started getting the 'Failed to open the MPEG encoder' error message. I searched through this forum to find any possible solution and the only solutions I found were to check to see if the MPEG-2 encoder CODEC is installed, which it appears to be according to the InstalledCodec utility and to uninstall/reinstall VS, which I did. I still receive the same error message, however. What could cause it to go from working one moment, to not working the next?
I tried to attach a text file listing all of the installed codecs on my system, so you can look to see if the needed codecs are installed, however I was unable to attach the file...says 'extension not allowed'. How to upload the file.
I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+ and when I try to render a completed video to a file I receive this error message. The video is a little large, one hour fourteen minutes, so I cut it in half, saving it under a different name and it still gave me the same error message. However, if I render a very small clip then it renders as it's suppose to.
I've never had this trouble before. I reloaded the software for 11+ but that didn't work.
I was trying to 'create a video file' when I received this message, 'Ulead VideoStudio [2000:1:1] Failed to open the MPEG encoder.
I've made countless movies and this is the first time I'm having this problem. Maybe I had it in 2008, but I've just turned 70 and remembering what I did then is a thing of the past!
i have video studio, and i am trying to transfer all my VCR to digital, i tried AVI at first but 46 min where 40GB!!! (i cant have this!) then i tried MPEG but after 5 min an error appears with no explication.
A co-worker and I came in this morning and both of our inventors are giving us this Faild to Open error. We run on single user accounts and we do not use vault. I then tried to backup all of my documents, but it would not let me backup either. I did a properties on the folder and it showed everything was read only. I click off read only and it let me backup. But still will not let me open a model part or assembly??? I tried turning off Avast and that did nothing either. We are still running 2008. Inventor and Autocad.
On the newest addition of Corel VideoStudio, I've been trying to upload a video to youtube (a 30 second one). Everytime, right before it's finished uploading on Corel I get the error message 'Upload failed due to a connection error. Please check your connection and try again'. I've tried uploading it to 4Mpeg-HD and MPEG-4. I've tried converting the video to various different files (Avi 750x576, MP4 704x480, etc). My computer's internet is perfectly fine and extremely fast, without any lag. I'm hoping to upload the video through Corel only because, despite my fast internet, I waited over ten minutes on a manual upload for the same video on youtube and after those ten minutes were up it was still at only 4%.
After not having much luck with the last video card, I changed my video card to a device with the Philips 713x chipset
Now when I select video capture I get the following message: failed to initialize the video capture plugin Open driver failed (15200:43:0) (15023:4:2) cannot create the video capture filter
I have just installed card (SAA7130 TV PCI card) with latest drivers excluding the software so Video Studio 12 pro is the only capture software on the machine . I also re-installed both card and Video Studio after doing a complete system restore and used CC cleaner to remove any residual data before re-installing.
I need to use video capture within the Video Studio software as I need to use the scene detection functionality. The reason I had to change the card in the first place is that video studio only allowed me to capture in AVI 320x240 and gave 'capture failed' errors with anything else.
I recorded a few short children's programmes from the TV on a PVR and transferred them onto a DVD. The DVD plays perfectly on my computer. I had hoped to edit the programmes a bit (cut out adverts etc) but when I try to import the DVD into VS I get the message "Failed to read DVD information. Report ID: 0x80040901 (2305)". Presumably this code has a very specific cause. I am using VS11 on a Vista computer.
I've been running Photoshop CS2 since it came out and never had any real problems. Then the other night I loaded approx 20 custom shape files that had about 10 shapes each from ActionFx. I played with them for a while and everything was working fine. Then I shut my computer down that night. The next morning I tried to open Photoshop and got the following message "could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM). I've tried everything I can think of to fix this so I'm pretty desperate for help.
Finally, I resorted to uninstalling just the Photoshop component of CS2. Then I defragged and reinstalled. When that didn't work I uninstalled all of CS2 including my preferences. Defragged again and then reinstalled. All of the other components open and work (Illustrator, GoLive, InDesign, etc.) but Photoshop is still a no go  Something I found really strange is that while the error message is up on the screen I can still see all my layer styles and actions (even though I've uninstalled everything twice now).
Of course, as soon as I click ok on the error message everything closes and Windows says "Adobe Photoshop CS2 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the problem and notify you if a solution is available." Needless to say no solution is ever offered.
I just downloaded Illustrator CC few days I go and everythime I try to open it I'm getting an error message: "Adobe Illustrator had detected some problems associated with the registration that have to be solved in order for Illustrator to work correctly. To solve it click with the roght botton of you mouse on Illustrator.exe and select adminitrator...
I don't know how to do it. Where is located Illustrator.exe in my computer?
As it did not working well in Win7, I have been uninstalling VS Pro X2. So, I purchased the downloadable upgrade version of VideoStudio Pro X3. The problem : I'm not able to open an existing VSP file. I get this error message : The file "name.vsp" is already in use.
I've been a Corel Video Studio user for almost 10 years and never ran into this issue. When creating a disc (DVD or Blu Ray), I get an error message while the program is "converting the menues" for burning to blank disc. The message reads "convert step got some problems (257.0.0)". Figuring that something got corrupted, I closed the program and rebooted the computer. I then again set up the menues I wanted to use only to get the same error message. I then decided to burn a previous project that I knew to be successful and it burned properly. I then decided to create a new project using the same video files and menus that previously failed. That too proved to be unsuccessful. I went to Corel's website but there was no info available covering my error message.
I downloaded the Photoshop CS6 trial verion yesterday and it worked great for afew hours, but I closed it and now every time I try and open it there's an error message "Adobe Photoshop CS6 hs encountered a problem and needs to close" what could have cause this and how do I fix it? I have windows XP and everything is up to date
When I double click an AI file to open it, I get this message: "Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window, increase document area and try again". This error started happening about a week or two ago. Although it is inconvenient to have to go to File>Open and then locate the file to open it since I am used to doing it the other way at least it is a way to open the AI file. I just discoved that if I double click a graphic in a Adobe Acrobat Pro using the Edit Object I get the same error message. This is a problem.I have checked previous discussions about this and tried things like unchecking the "open as tab" option in the preferences but that does not work.
I thought i was getting this message when i enabled ripple select all but now i am randomly getting this message anytime i am using VS. I use VIDEOSTUDIO PRO X3 and i believe i have updated the necessary updates for it . After i get this message, it shuts down VS and i have to restart the program.
When I go to import a clip into videostudio, I get this message: "no storage to save BB" I click ok, then I get the "load from stream error" message.
Here is my info:Windows XP, videostudio 12, Dell Dimension E520. I'm importing an uncompressed AVI (I've done this loads of times with not problems) and I get the message while it's importing.
My Photoshop Elements 12 editor won't open. I have had elements for 2 weeks and it was worked just fine, but now it won't open even though my organizer works just fine. It pops up with an error message. I have tried the ctrl+alt+shift and that doesn't work either. I have updated all that needs updating.
I've recently updated one of my PC's. I tried to launch VS x5 and I received a "corrupt file message" with error code 38. I've read all of the previous threads here and others online referring to Protexis Licensing V2 in the Services tab. I've un-installed, reinstalled several times. Would be nice is a "Repair" option was available. I've entered the serial numbers, several times, made it to the "Register Product" page but can never get the program to start. This was an update from VS 4 and I've entered the serial number for that when prompted. I have the program working just fine on another completely new system. Both are running Windows 7.
I'm trying to upload a video into YouTube straight from my Video Studio ProX3. Was able to do it successfully with a video just 2 days ago but for some reason, doing a different video (same videocam & format) it's giving me this error message "The entity name must immediately follow the ',&' in the entity reference". And it won't upload or let me proceed. I have no clue what this means, i tried redoing it and changing the video file name and no luck.
Just installed ProX4. When I make a title - either single or multiple - and try to apply a Border/Shadow/Transparency to the text, I get an error message that says . . .
"Encountered An Improper Argument"
Making the title was the ONLY thing in the project.
