Just installed ProX4. When I make a title - either single or multiple - and try to apply a Border/Shadow/Transparency to the text, I get an error message that says . . .
"Encountered An Improper Argument"
Making the title was the ONLY thing in the project.
I'm using VSProX4 in English,while my native language is Dutch . I wonder if it's possible to change the language to Dutch(NL) and if it is,how to do that.

I have purchased a Sony DCR TRV480 to play Hi8 tapes and convert to Digital Video. My camera came with a USB cable that plugs into the camera in the video jack. I want to capture the video using VSProX4. What do I need to do to capture it? Do I need a driver for the USB. I dont seem to have a firewire jack on this computer but it does have a 1394 labeled jack in the back. It has several USB jacks.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have heard it takes some time to make a smart proxy file, It seems to take a very long time although I dont know what is reasonable with my computer, intel2.2g proc-4g ram-64bit-win7. The files are h264 mp4 720x1280HD 60fps. Is it because they are mp4 files? I use WMM6 and have to convert to .wmv but editing is fine afterward. I have also tried Video Pad and there seems to be a short wait for loading but nowhewre near as long as VS. Is there a better format for Video Studio than mp4.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I am unable to burn DVDs with my current computer drive I want to burn them on another computer using the VSProX4 software. Also the video quality of the DVD I burned on this computer is poor. What is the easiest way to burn them on another computer? Should I create DVD folders or create disc image or just copy the files in the Corel VSPro folder on Documents and transfer it to the new computer. I rendered a video file from my project and it is saved in my projects folder in documents.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've been a Corel Video Studio user for almost 10 years and never ran into this issue. When creating a disc (DVD or Blu Ray), I get an error message while the program is "converting the menues" for burning to blank disc. The message reads "convert step got some problems (257.0.0)". Figuring that something got corrupted, I closed the program and rebooted the computer. I then again set up the menues I wanted to use only to get the same error message. I then decided to burn a previous project that I knew to be successful and it burned properly. I then decided to create a new project using the same video files and menus that previously failed. That too proved to be unsuccessful. I went to Corel's website but there was no info available covering my error message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm about halfway through my 30 day trial of VS Pro X4, and starting to feel a little more comfortable with the software, but a few things are still puzzling me. Granted I've only scratched the surface of the SW capabilities so far.
I took the plunge and got a new Panasonic HDC-TM90K HD video recorder to replace my old 8mm analog Sony. I've only had the opportunity to use it several times, so far so good.
The Panasonic camera comes with HD Writer AE 3.0 software. Pretty rudimentary compared to VS Pro X4; does the basics, trimming, titles, transitions etc. Not bad, it works, but definitely not as sophisticated as VS Pro X4. However I need software that can capture the 8mm tapes I'm converting, which the Panasonic SW cannot, really don't want to learn/use two software packages so hence trying to focus on VS Pro X4. See thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41255 for my question re: mpeg compression.
Using the Panny HD Writer SW I was able to capture and burn AVCHD DVD's from the Panny camera SW without issue, not too difficult considering this is my firt time doing all this stuff. AVCHD DVD's play just fine on my Sony Blu-Ray.
I tried capturing the same video content from the Panny camera with VS Pro X4 and could not. VS Pro X4 is stating there is no camera attached. I believe the Panny SW is hijacking the USB connection first and hence is controlling the connection to the camera. I tried looking for some services that the Panny SW has running and closed the auto-run of the Panny SW, but still no luck. I haven't tried uninstalling the Panny SW, that's next.
I was however able to import the files from the Panny camcorder using the import function in VS Pro X4 by selecting the files I wanted. Imported files are the exact same size as the files imported in the Panny HD Writer AE 3.0 SW.
Was able to make a simple little video by adding a title, couple of transitions between clips etc, couple of chapter markers. All went fairly well. Then did "Share > Create Disc", used the default (only) disc template that came in the VS Pro X4 SW trial, selected AVCHD and burn disc, no issues, until I went to play the disc in my Sony Blu-Ray. Once the action in the video picked up and there was significant motion in the video the video started to break up, don't know the technical name for it, digital artifacts maybe? It doesn't look like the deinterlacing examples I've seen, which appear to be unaligned thin lines, this is more blotchy, like blocks of data not being filled in.
So then I tried it again and selected 2 pass conversion, this time it worked, which is good, but does that need to be done anytime your burning HD content to a AVCHD DVD?
I thought i was getting this message when i enabled ripple select all but now i am randomly getting this message anytime i am using VS. I use VIDEOSTUDIO PRO X3 and i believe i have updated the necessary updates for it . After i get this message, it shuts down VS and i have to restart the program.

Here is my info:Windows XP, videostudio 12, Dell Dimension E520. I'm importing an uncompressed AVI (I've done this loads of times with not problems) and I get the message while it's importing.
I've recently updated one of my PC's. I tried to launch VS x5 and I received a "corrupt file message" with error code 38. I've read all of the previous threads here and others online referring to Protexis Licensing V2 in the Services tab. I've un-installed, reinstalled several times. Would be nice is a "Repair" option was available. I've entered the serial numbers, several times, made it to the "Register Product" page but can never get the program to start. This was an update from VS 4 and I've entered the serial number for that when prompted. I have the program working just fine on another completely new system. Both are running Windows 7.

Was able to do it successfully with a video just 2 days ago but for some reason, doing a different video (same videocam & format) it's giving me this error message "The entity name must immediately follow the ',&' in the entity reference". And it won't upload or let me proceed. I have no clue what this means, i tried redoing it and changing the video file name and no luck.

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+. The 'vsp' file is too long...One hour fourteen minutes. I made a 'Part 1' and cut the vsp to forty-five minutes and still received the same error message.
I cut the 'vsp' to one minute thirty seconds and it would "Create a Video File'. I've never had this problem before.
It seems with Ulead VideoStudio 11+ whenever I have a problem like this I can resolve it, by backing up all the files, then removing the program, thoroughly clean the hard drive and re-install 11+.
For some inexplicable reason, the 'Smartsounds' tracks I load into the time line do not RENDER. That is, the 'share' button creates the suitable video file without the music! Their is a message, "Load from Stream Error" which comes up after the rendering process.

Im pretty good with VBA but new to Inventor objects. The tool itself will change all of the borders & title blocks in multiple sheets to the selects ones on the form in one go.
I have the code set up to loop through the sheets and delete / replace all borders & title blocks and this works great. Im trying to find how i can loop through the borders & title blocks so that i can get them into a combo box for each. I cant find anything about this on the internet.
How i can take off or remove the message "finding exterior borders". This appear in the left bottom corner of Civil 3D.....it makes that my computer is very slow...

I am running PS CS4 Win Vista.I have 3G RAM and have designated plenty of available space for scratch disks(298G on C:, 66G on J: and 231G on M:, the latter two being external HDs).
When I attempt to use some of the advanced features of CS 4, especially Content Aware Scaling, I get the insufficient RAM message every time without fail.
MY HD is regularly defragmented and I have purged, lowered the History states allowed, and cleaned out all temp files from IE.
Any deas how I can avoid the RAM message and use the features in CS4?
I up dated my cs3 today and now I get an error message: Could not complete_______because of a program error. Has anyone run across this before?

They imported very small files and when I try to import them into cs3, I get an error message that says "cannot complete your request because of a program error". View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I launch 3dsMax 2012, it crashes without any kind of error message, apart from the Windows one that gives no details at all.The launcher goes up to the "Starting 3ds Max" step and then stops.I tried to desinstall/reinstall, different languages (I'm French but I'd rather use the English version). I also deleted the .ini just so the program could recreate one but it did nothing.
In fact it worked once or twice, I could launch & use it normaly, but then it stopped working..I'm using Windows 7 64bits SP1 on an Intel i5 2410M, GeForce GT550M, all my drivers seem to be updated, etc.
I'm getting this error message when I try to use photomerge. I'm using CS5, and this is the first time I'm trying to use photomerge. I've tried several different photos but I'm always getting this message.
