Is there a problem or is this just a bug in Photoshop? I don't have any problems other than the error message. The version is: 12.0.4x64.
I am running PS CS4 Win Vista.I have 3G RAM and have designated plenty of available space for scratch disks(298G on C:, 66G on J: and 231G on M:, the latter two being external HDs).
When I attempt to use some of the advanced features of CS 4, especially Content Aware Scaling, I get the insufficient RAM message every time without fail.
MY HD is regularly defragmented and I have purged, lowered the History states allowed, and cleaned out all temp files from IE.
Any deas how I can avoid the RAM message and use the features in CS4?
I have some raw files on a dvd that I have imported into bridge. They imported very small files and when I try to import them into cs3, I get an error message that says "cannot complete your request because of a program error".  I've had other dvds that I have imported with no problem.Â

"The installation of this application is damaged. Try to re-install the application or contact the publisher"

I tried re-installing CS6 but am still getting the same error message, with a bouncing Adobe Air icon in my dock.
I am sure there is something very obvious I am missing here, but when trying to use the red eye correction tool, I get the following error message:
Â
"Could not use the red eye removal tool because the target channels do not cover the composite."

What does this mean and how can I get the tool to work for me? I am using Photoshop CS4.
I keep receiving a error message when closing PS CS6 which says "Adobe Media Core CS6 has stopped working". What can I do to resolve this issue? I'm running Windows Vista professional.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI installed a new drive (OWC Accelsior SSD) via PCIe in my 2009 MacPro then loaded 10.9 on the new drive.  While I have regret about 10.9 due to the Colorflow bug, I had already done the upgrade on the old drive and stayed with 10.9
Â
I then ran Migration Assistant to copy everything to the new drive. In addition, I ran Verify Disk on both the old and new drives via the Disk Utility and all was OK.After the migration, CS6 13.0.0 will not allow me to open a file from any internal or external drive. When I select File, Open the error message states, "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
Â
When I select File, Open 2-3 times, I am able to open a file but only from the Desktop. After trying 10 File, Opens, from the Desktop with sucess, I tried selecting an external drive and immediatly get the program error message againI tried selecting internal sata drives, an external Raid 5 connected via eSata and a drive connected via USB3 but all produced the same error message.
Â
So I installed CC. Unfortunately the same exact problem occurs.I noticed when I was installing CC that there was an update to CS6 13.0.0. But when I tried to update via the iCloud installer and also the download from the Adobe site ,the update failed with this message, "Errors encountered during installation (U44M1P7) I have found an inconvenient workaround that might offer a clue in that I am able to open any file from any drive if I drag it over the icon in the dock. That works for both CS6 and CC.Â
I'm trying to print Photoshop file that is 740000 pixels wide on roll paper on an Epson 4800. The file is a large Photoshop file format. It was created in CS4. When I try to make the print command, I get an error message saying Photoshop cannot print files wider than 32000 pixels. (Which seems unlikely to me)
I can not seem to get a simple yes or no answer to whether what I'm trying to do is possible. Upgrade to CS5 suggested, but I get exactly the same error message on CS5. I don't want to drop the resolution to solve this.
I get the error message when I try and print. I do custom printing for clients. I've tried turning off my computer and re-starting it, but that didn't work. Do I need to un-install CS5, and then re-install?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I use the Merge to HDR function (CS4, using XP, SP3) I get a strange error message at the end of the processing portion (just before the completed 32-bit image displays). The error says something to the effect that it's possible that the images used for the HDR were taken with different cameras. This occurs on every HDR I create using Photoshop. I'm almost positive it also came up in CS3. Naturally, the images were taken with the same camera, and all EXIF data is intact, showing the camera make, model, serial, etc. The only option available in the error message is to click "OK". 99% of the time, processing resumes when I click OK, and the resulting HDR is fine. Once in a while, when I click OK, the whole process aborts, and PS shows that I have no images open - not the HDR, and not the 3 original JPEGs. I run the Merge to HDR from Bridge, and the images are all straight from the camera - no processing or anything that might affect the EXIF or metadata. Any idea what makes PS think that I'm using multiple cameras to take a HDR? Or why sometimes it just aborts the process when I click OK? I honestly cannot remember if I've ever tried merging to HDR using RAW files to compare whether the error occurs then or not. No other HDR engine (and I've used several) seems to have a problem with my images.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, I have a .PSD file I want to Re-save Over the existing one already on the hard-drive, but everytime I save the file it says the file is "Locked, unlock it in Properties, via Internet Explorer options".
Well, none of the layers in the file are locked. I tried the settings on my computer and didn't find any option that related to the error. The question is, What type of setting in Internet Explorer might have caused this, and How do I fix it?
After that, I tried saving a Different file I was working on, and it saved- with no Error-message.
Is it a security setting? But, if so- why does this problem only occur with This file and not others?
I've been running Photoshop CS2 since it came out and never had any real problems. Then the other night I loaded approx 20 custom shape files that had about 10 shapes each from ActionFx. I played with them for a while and everything was working fine. Then I shut my computer down that night. The next morning I tried to open Photoshop and got the following message "could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM). I've tried everything I can think of to fix this so I'm pretty desperate for help.
Finally, I resorted to uninstalling just the Photoshop component of CS2. Then I defragged and reinstalled. When that didn't work I uninstalled all of CS2 including my preferences. Defragged again and then reinstalled. All of the other components open and work (Illustrator, GoLive, InDesign, etc.) but Photoshop is still a no go  Something I found really strange is that while the error message is up on the screen I can still see all my layer styles and actions (even though I've uninstalled everything twice now).
Of course, as soon as I click ok on the error message everything closes and Windows says "Adobe Photoshop CS2 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the problem and notify you if a solution is available." Needless to say no solution is ever offered.
