Unwanted objects showing through your printed output (and print preview), but not showing up in the paperspace display, when using 3dclip in Acad 2011 (mechanical) ?
View 1 RepliesI've noticed this a few times in different projects after rendering..I always start my clips with the black color insert but as soon as the first video clip fades in, there are 1 or 2 unwanted audio "clicks", "pops" or "scratch" noises.
I then noticed this with a song on a different project as it started first - so I know it wasn't anything to do with my video files.
Lately, I commenced a short film using one of Corel's own titles against the black background and again, as one word entered the screen, a double click, then as the second another click or two!
I'm having a plotting issue with one of my drawings. It's not showing up on plot preview, or even when I print it.
Any other drawing I create under the same Page Setup print fine. The paper and viewport have been have been set up for a standard 8x11, and drawing appears in as normal in the viewport. The layers are ok with no attributes (i.e transparency) set as to affect the print output. The printer drivers are up to date, and really doesnt make sense as any drawings I create under the exact settings show up normally and print out with no problem. Really don't want to recreate the drawing from scratch.
I produced some objects in Inventor 2013 and exported to DWG to be assembled in AutoCAD 2013. All is fine except when i look at the objects in a 'hidden' view these weird diagonal lines appear over the objects. I am unable to clcik these but when i zoom in they gradually disappear but. If I try to plot the object as shown these lines are printed. This also happens when saving to pdf.

When they select objects, its not reporting on the commandline how many objects its found or keeping a running total of objects selected. Not even any duplications...
I've tested it on my machine but i cannot replicate the issue and have never come across this before!
Is it a bug? Is it a variable? User setting etc.
I have Gimp 2.64 and was wondering if there is a way to get rid of a car in a photo. I can use clone tool but that won't work for what i need so i need to crop out car but i also need to fill in that space
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a repeat pattern tile (using CS5 on Windows 7), but when I crop the pattern, the expanded paths underneath become visible as on the flowers.This is what I did after creating the artwork:
Used the rectangle tool to make a box with fill/stroke directly on top of the artboard.. Select all > Expand (selecting stroke only, not fill) Deselect the cropping box and grouped the remaining objects. Reselected the cropping box and grouped all objects Pathfinder > Crop I'm guessing it may have something to do with the fact I used a gradient on the flowers but how to resolve it.
Working with two text characters - created separately. When I transform one they both transform. I want them to behave separately.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with a logo I've created in an svg. file. I seem to have to finalized, but when I save it as a pdf. to take it to the printers I see parts of the logo suddenly have no stroke or stroke has been added in other parts.
I don't seem to have any hidden layers I don't think. I'm not sure if there is a setting to change in the window that gives you all the options to choose from when you're saving something as a pdf. Or is there a setting I should be activating when finalizing this logo as an svg that prevents such problems. I'm pretty new to illustrator, before this I was using inkscape which I got the feel of until i decided to go pro with illustrator.
I photograph beach weddings. In my old software, I could remove swimmers and bathers, how in elements12? I am trialing it and cannot see any way to easially remove unwanted objects

In CS3 When I went Print-> Photoshop Manages Colors to choose an ICC color profile, there would be a companion Output box, where I could drag the Transfer slider down to brighten the image. I can't find Output in CS6! Since choosing Photoshop Manages Colors turns off the printer's color etc controls,

View 12 Replies View RelatedA customer sent us their label in an AI file. Trying to print this onto a 3 x 1 label (which is small), the output looks pixelated. Looks like the whole thing is a graphic rather than text.
I have attached an image of the label as an example. **Please note that the label is copyrighted. Please do not re-distribute or otherwise print.**
I have been send a dwg of a elevation of a kitchen plans that I want to include into my drawing, everything looks ok in autocad but when I go to print this drawing, non of the lines show up just a few random text boxes but no text, no layers are set to not print so why this is so.
I can not upload the file as its 3.32mb.
When plotting to DWF my Civil Objects don't plot.

The orange items in question are blocks and are just copies of each other. However, the grass hatch underneath shows through the left one and not the right one. I checked the properties of both blocks and they are identical except for x/y position.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently started having a problem where some objects that I edit or insert, such as blocks, only show in white. The photo I show is an example. I recently used viewport clip in order to add in the detail shown on the top right, and when I did so, the viewport went white, and it has since not changed. It is supposed to show in yellow, as shown with the other viewports. When I change to "bylayer" it is white, and when I manually change it, it stays white. As shown, I've changed it manually to cyan, and it remains white.
I think this may be an obsucre system variable problem, but I'm not sure where to start.
Showing annotation objects, I’m wondering how the two options “show annotation objects for current scale only” & “show annotation objects for all scales” introduce the same result (attached)! Despite the fact that these annotation objects are assigned to other scales (attached)
In these two cases, the only displayed annotation objects are those related to the current scale! Not all the annotation objects are displayed!
I have a drawing done in AutoCAD Architecture 2013. Most of it is just lines, but I have a couple of Walls with Doors. It looks fine in the base drawing but when I xref into another file the walls revert to their original color and the doors have disappeared. The opening is there but no door.
I tried xredit and the doors are there but when I close that they are gone again. Tried detaching and reattaching...still have the problem.
After I posted this tried Display Configuration. Clicking all options for Doors gives me the doors...in a closed position, not the same as in the base plan.
I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2011. Is there a way to hide 3D objects in a viewport when printing without using Solview/Soldraw? When I use solview/soldraw it thaws out certain entities that I need to not be shown and then I am having to go and erase a bunch of lines that I do not want to be there..

Have added a matte output successfully but can't find the 'edit output' option to add objects from the schematic to the object list, even if I add all I am then seeing unexpected behaviour using the different blend modes. View 8 Replies View RelatedI am working on a photo layout of new students. This year I'm using X6 and am having some, uh, issues.
I'm using last year’s file (X3), and open it in X6. I click on an old photo and edit with PowerClip, instead of first editing several photos in Photo-Paint. I just drag and drop the new photo into the PowerClip and resize/resample it there. Next, I hold down the Shift key, click on the original photo, press C then E, and the two images are on top of each other. In X3 (and for as long as I can remember using PowerClip), I press F4 to zoom to objects (i.e. the two photos). I can then make any minor adjustments to fit inside my rectangle and delete the old photo before finishing my editing.
Upon pressing F4 in X6, however, it zooms to the entire page’s objects instead of the two selected photos. Is this by design? I now have to click on F2 for the magnify tool, and then click 'n' drag my mouse around the photos in order to get the same thing that took only one key stroke in X3.
Regarding those minor adjustments, the effect I want is to get all of the student heads about the same size: lining up the tops, chins, and eyeballs. In X3 while editing in PowerClip, these guides are visible; I can adjust the size and/or nudge to get things exactly where I want them.
It's different in X6: I can’t see the guidelines! They are BEHIND the PowerClip's photo and useless! If you switch to outline mode you can almost see them (along with the ghost of a photo), but then you have to switch to outline mode and if you don't switch back before getting out of the PowerClip, the photo doesn't show up. And it’s not a stacking order thing in the layers either: it does not matter where the guides layer is relative to my photo layer. Order is irrelevant.
So in X6, in order to use the guides layer I have to edit in the PowerClip, right click > finish editing, assess where I need to resize and/or nudge, then get back in and edit the PowerClip. Repeat until I get the look I want. Or just get it done in X3.
When I have the design ready and it's just busy work, I like to see how much I can do with keystrokes and not touch the mouse. I am so glad I still have X3 loaded on my machine. I want to get these two composites clipped and done. X6 is just not the same.
I'm trying to set up a script that will grab a group of objects and turn them into a compound path, then apply a clipping mask to the compound path and the next group in the layer.

View 10 Replies View Relatedwhy a drawing would open without a number of objects (text) showing? I open it up and all notes are gone, yet another user opens it up in "eDrawings" and it opens fine. Oddly, when in ACAD I click OPEN, the preview ACAD gives me when I click this file once shows the missing text etc. But when I open it they're missing.

i'm trying to learn about AutoCAD, today i was trying to create a Glass cup, i've created it with REVSURF, at my first try it got square with only SIX faces, so after some seraching, i was told to set "SURTFTAB1" and "SURFTAB2" to a higher number like 18, so i configured them to 36... After that, the cup was looking pretty good and round, but then, i rendered it, at the highest quality "Presentation". But the cup continues to show the flat little faces, i would like to know if it's normal or am i doing something wrong? maybe i should do it with a circle and then press/pull it with a smaller circle on the top?
