When printing a image in halftone from Corel x5. The image looks great in print preview but if I try printing it prints a solid black page.

Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
How can I create a halftone for screen printing on textiles. I need to have vectored dots.

When using the variable data print feature, the images seen in the print preview look correct, but when the page is printed the same data is output in all 4 images. This does not happen every time. I suspect there is something going wrong with the print merge data buffer. I have not been able to reproduce the error. I have created a detailed script to for others to follow when running this job.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just had to install Windows 7 64 bit and now find that when I print to my HP Business Inkjet 2300, I can only print 1 page. If I set the quantity to 5, I still get just 1 page. HP won't be updating the driver as they say that the printer is obsolete although they are still selling it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally found a halftone printing solution to my HP 5100 tn, My problem is that if I set an lpi (any), I cannot get 100 percent black no matter what color pallete I use. Everything that should be solid prints at about 90% halftone.

i noticed that when i try to print anything that has a black in it it comes out looking greyish but when i print the test page from my printer the black comes out looking black.
on the bottom of the design page i see some thing saying
(Document color profiles: RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1; CMYK: U.S. Web Coated(SWOP) v2; Grayscale: Dot Gain 20%)
I have recently traced a new picture and I am about to add colors to it so that I can upload it later on my gallery. I started the Tracing on a Cmyk based template because one day I will use print it to add it to my portfolio! I mean should I add Cmyk colors and them convert them to rgb in order to upload it?

When printing 100% black on laser printer the Black is all in raster. Very strange because the same file printed from X4 /same PC and same printer/ is OK and is not in raster.
Probably the problem is somewere in X6.
I don't belive that the problem is in the color management because it's the same as my X5 and there all is OK too.
My CorelMacros.CreateColorSwatch macro has stopped dumping the swatches into whatever blank Letter-sized document I have open (which is how it used to work) and instead it is creating a new document, at 4.25" wide x 7" high, and dumping the swatches into that. Using Pantone Solid Coated, but it's doing this regardless of what palette I choose.
There is no option in the Macro's dialog box to alter or even instantiate a page size, and I cannot find in the code of the macro where to set this variable.
When I used the erasor to remove the fill from inside an image which has been powertraced, the bits which have been erased turn black, rather than transparent.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using CorelDRAW 12. I . would like to print the image on a transparent plastic with 2 colors separations. I scanned the image with black and white color. I would like to print 2 colors on the Transparent Plastic: (1) Black and (2) White
so that I can see White color on the Transparent Plastic under Black Color and then I can't see s.th through the Plastic Bag because the Transparent Plastic is printed with White color and Black color and if I print the image on Red Plastic, I will see White color and Black color on Red Plastic, but I don't know how to solve it in the fast and right way.
I copied an Image off the web and am trying to ungroup it and change the the Black images to color...

My current photo editing software (Microsoft PhotoDRaw) has the ability to do this and wondering if I can achieve the same in CorelDraw X5 or PhotoPaint Pro X3. I just reinstalled both and need to start using them since PhotoDraw only work up till Windows XP and I use Virtual Machine to run it.
Here you go. If say I open a new project to any page size of my choice and import any image (any size) into the page. Is there a way I can automatically fit the page to the image size in either CorelDraw X5or PhotoPaint X3? That is, if my default page size is letter (8.5"x11") and I import an image that is 2.2"x5", can I automatically fit the default page to the fit the image at 2.2"x5"? Really very handy too. Can I also do the reverse image to paper size? If I can do either, where do I go?
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)

I've tried to convert the drop shadow to bitmap but the result is same.
When I import an eps, or create a new object with a shape tool. The default style is a clear fill and a hairline CYMK black (0,0,0,100) outline. I think I know how to change it to true black (0,0,0,0), but when i import an eps or an illustrator file, it is coming in as CMYK black (0,0,0,100)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was given a CMYK TIF file that has two added spot color channels. CMYK channels are empty. Bringin this into Draw X6 64 bit shows nothing but a white box and when attempting to print separations the print dialog says "nothing selected to print." So I opened the file in Photoshop, deleted the CMY&K channels, saved it as a PSD and imported to Draw which labels it as a Bitmap (Multichannel DeviceN). The two spot colors appear in the document color palette and it displays and appears to separate properly in the print preview.

I have noticed that when i make changes to line widths in a drawing using the outline pen, the printed output does not change until i make at least a change of .005". changing it by less than this only changes it on the display.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn one of my print job there is a Box with Fountain fill from blue to gray colour in conical form and also have a power clip contents.
In the first lot we had got no problem in getting correct image reproduction as per our original file thought an EPS.
But later on in second lot after some amendments to this drawing file which later exported to an EPS for CtP service bureau we had got problem in vignette / conical fountain production in grays at its peak tone. There is one conical fountain step is missing leaving the background in up front. It ruined up the whole 2nd print lot. The CtP provider didn't responded properly in this regard.
As we are assured of our testing through importing the EPS to CorelDraw, we changed the CtP service provider in the next lot to avoid any unknown RIP issues. But through CtP plates we have faced the similar problem as seen in the second lot and the job has also been printed which means we have got ruined the 3rd lot completely.
We have also supplied the JPG image preview file to facilitate the CtP service bureau, along with the EPS. They replied the problem is neither easily visible on the RIP preview nor the EPS file shown any issues.

I modified the "Prepress" pdf preset to show crop marks and saved this pdf preset as "Cropmarks". However when I use the "Collect for Output" wizard, the new pdf preset (i.e. "Cropmarks") does not show up as an option in the dropdown.
Is there a way to make it available/show up in the "Collect for Output" wizard?
X5 Recently have begun missing parts of print out. Tried to duplicate but appears completely random.
Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram
I have saved a file in corel. on the second day, when i want to open the file,is writting: "File Copy Error" TEMP Drive or Output Drive may be Full" Is there any posibility to recover the file. The recovery toolbox can not recover the file.
