I am using Coreldraw X5 (Version 15.2.0.686). I have a piece of document that I would want to convert to flash and put into the website.
Can't I make it to display but cannot print and cannot be altered? How come flash can print now?
I have saved a file in corel. on the second day, when i want to open the file,is writting: "File Copy Error" TEMP Drive or Output Drive may be Full" Is there any posibility to recover the file. The recovery toolbox can not recover the file.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was given a CMYK TIF file that has two added spot color channels. CMYK channels are empty. Bringin this into Draw X6 64 bit shows nothing but a white box and when attempting to print separations the print dialog says "nothing selected to print." So I opened the file in Photoshop, deleted the CMY&K channels, saved it as a PSD and imported to Draw which labels it as a Bitmap (Multichannel DeviceN). The two spot colors appear in the document color palette and it displays and appears to separate properly in the print preview.

I started the Tracing on a Cmyk based template because one day I will use print it to add it to my portfolio! I mean should I add Cmyk colors and them convert them to rgb in order to upload it?

When using the variable data print feature, the images seen in the print preview look correct, but when the page is printed the same data is output in all 4 images. This does not happen every time. I suspect there is something going wrong with the print merge data buffer. I have not been able to reproduce the error. I have created a detailed script to for others to follow when running this job.

Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
In one of my print job there is a Box with Fountain fill from blue to gray colour in conical form and also have a power clip contents.
In the first lot we had got no problem in getting correct image reproduction as per our original file thought an EPS.
But later on in second lot after some amendments to this drawing file which later exported to an EPS for CtP service bureau we had got problem in vignette / conical fountain production in grays at its peak tone. There is one conical fountain step is missing leaving the background in up front. It ruined up the whole 2nd print lot. The CtP provider didn't responded properly in this regard.
As we are assured of our testing through importing the EPS to CorelDraw, we changed the CtP service provider in the next lot to avoid any unknown RIP issues. But through CtP plates we have faced the similar problem as seen in the second lot and the job has also been printed which means we have got ruined the 3rd lot completely.
We have also supplied the JPG image preview file to facilitate the CtP service bureau, along with the EPS. They replied the problem is neither easily visible on the RIP preview nor the EPS file shown any issues.

I modified the "Prepress" pdf preset to show crop marks and saved this pdf preset as "Cropmarks". However when I use the "Collect for Output" wizard, the new pdf preset (i.e. "Cropmarks") does not show up as an option in the dropdown.
Is there a way to make it available/show up in the "Collect for Output" wizard?
When printing a image in halftone from Corel x5. The image looks great in print preview but if I try printing it prints a solid black page.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have some Ai files that I need to open in X6 but they use linked images which I have, but when opening in CorelDraw all I get is the basic Ai stuff but not the linked images, is there an easy way to open the Ai file and see it as it was intended?
As a sub note I can't go back to the supplier of the Ai file to make any changes.
I just used the help file for the first time in ages and noticed all the links to the graphics are broken hence no diagrams etc. I tried to search out where they are usually stored and it gives some weird Address under properties. It's a vba so suppose it's a database? How do I restore the links without having to do a re-install?
As to the pen: How do you stop the annoying over-the-top predictive curve that happens past the node in the next section after a long drag to form the first curve. i.e. you simply want to draw a straight line after dragging out a curved section previously and you get this unmanageable curve to deal with ?
I´m trying to extract text from a Corel file to a TXT file in another editor and then merge it back in.Extracting the text seems to be working just fine but when I´m trying to merge it back in I get the error message "Wrong file format or could not open".

View 10 Replies View RelatedAfter finally getting X6 to be stable and usable I have two things I'd like to mention..
First, I've been using a 3rd party file manager called Ztree for years and one of its most wonderful capabilities is to copy paths to the clipboard which alleviates opening/saving frustrations with the typical Windoze Explorer dialogs. Anyway, one of the first problems I noticed with X6 is that Paste no longer works in the Open Drawing dialog, while it worked just fine in X5 and as far as I can remember, all previous versions. I sure would like to get that back.
My second complaint is the File/Export routine and specifically the presets. I do a lot of exporting to PNG and JPG and use multiple presets for fixed size/print resolution image output in both file formats. During the typical export session, I essentially export multiple different drawings all of which are exactly the same size/resolution in CD and in the past (X4 and prior as I recall,) was able to just hit <Enter> when the Export dialog appeared once the preset was set to the one I needed for that session.
In X6 though (and to some degree in X5,) even though the correct preset is listed, CD doesn't appear to recognize it, i.e., the math for the size/dpi conversion doesn't take place which forces me to waste time selecting "Original" or some other preset first, waiting for CD to render the new version, and THEN selecting the conversion preset that was pre-selected when I first opened the export dialog.
Every time I input pictures on my computer they seem to be loaded twice one as a normal picture next are (DSCO1230.MPO) what is a MPO file.

The label is 110x160mm and the file size is 15MB.
So I intersect a small part of 4x40mm for the replacement label.When I save it as a new file, the filesize is 10MB!
I wonder why the small piece of artwork is so big, while it only contains a 4x40mm bitmap of 300dpi and the rest are vector.

I have a bitmap in PSD format with 300 DPI, 19.0 cm (7.0 ") wide. I need to enlarge this photo to 6.5 m (255") wide and its resolution to keep a minimum 120 DPI.
What better way to enlarge this photo without becoming a huge file (in MB), but keep a good quality when printing?
I'm writing an application in C++ that loads vector images from a source directory and convert them in bmp or other non vectorial format in the destination directory. I need to load CDR file also, but unfortunatly I can't find a documantation regarding the proprietary CDR file format.
Of course, these informations aren't published by Corel that maintain the secret of the format. But my question is: does Corel sell some SDK that provides some functions, callable directly from the source code written in c++, that permits the conversion of the file?
Q When I import an EPS file into CorelDRAW, and print to a non-PostScript printer, the output appears pixelated and unclear. Why?
A An EPS file is a Postscript (PS) file and meant to be printed to a PostScript printer. When printed to a non-PostScript printer, it will only print the file header which is a low resolution preview of the actual file. If you wish to print the actual contents of the EPS file to a non-PostScript printer, import the file it into CorelDRAW using the PostScript Interpreted (PS, PRN, EPS) filter.So, apparently it can be done, but when I try to import this file into my Coreldraw, there is no option to import with that type of filter that I can see. Is this something that is missing in v12? If v12 wont do it, is there any other way to import this file without it coming in all pixellated? Or is there another way to convert the file into a format such as .plt?
Is there anyway to import or edit .dgn files in CorelDraw X3 ?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am new to Corel Draw and am slowly teaching myself. I created a drawing in Corel Draw and then exported it to DXF. I then opened them in a CAD application to actually cut the image out in a water jet. The size of the drawing was not modified, only the corners were fillet (because I could not figure it out in Corel Draw at that time). When I imported it back into COrel Draw to fill it with my image, the size of the drawing was about a 1/2 " bigger (width and height) than it was when I exported it. This is the only place where the size is different.

When I export a PDF the dialog window no longer opens and offers me the choices for crop marks, bleeds and so on!
This all use to work fine in X5.
How can I get this to start working properly again.
I am creating a menu for a cient as a PDF. When I open it up in PDF format it is too large (174%) to view each page individually. It works well at about 75%. Is there a way I can have it open up at 75%?
