CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 :: Replace Common Image On Every Page Of 32pp Document?
May 27, 2011
I need to replace a common image on every page of a 32pp document. The reason being the original one has no bleed on. I have retouched the image to include bleed, but how do I replace or re-link the new one?
There is no links showing up in my links dialog docker at all..?
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
Is it possible to assign a type of link to an object or text where the user can open the document and click on the object which is on the first page and it will take them to a specified page set by the link? This is kind of like web design but not, know what I mean?
When a new page or document is created, by default the zero point is set at the bottom left of the page. Is there a way to set it to another point like top left so that all new documents open with it set that way. (top left)
My current photo editing software (Microsoft PhotoDRaw) has the ability to do this and wondering if I can achieve the same in CorelDraw X5 or PhotoPaint Pro X3. I just reinstalled both and need to start using them since PhotoDraw only work up till Windows XP and I use Virtual Machine to run it.
Here you go. If say I open a new project to any page size of my choice and import any image (any size) into the page. Is there a way I can automatically fit the page to the image size in either CorelDraw X5or PhotoPaint X3? That is, if my default page size is letter (8.5"x11") and I import an image that is 2.2"x5", can I automatically fit the default page to the fit the image at 2.2"x5"? Really very handy too. Can I also do the reverse image to paper size? If I can do either, where do I go?
I need to replace all colors of document (except black) with one pantone. Is it possible?I've imported pdf file with vector and bitmap graphics, but it has few colors. I need to use just 2 colors in print. Is it possible to replace CMY with one pantone in print? How can I do it?Something like that:
I work for a trophy company and we set up all of our trophy plates in Corel. The company that I used to work for used EngraveLab. With EngraveLab I could make a Notepad file with all of the information that I wanted for each trophy plate. Then I would go into EngraveLab and set up one, hit a few buttons and it would automatically set up each plate for me, using the Notepad file to replace the text on each one. In a few minutes I could have 500 or more name plates set up. My question now is there a way to automate the text replacement so I do not have to mistakenly copy and paste each name by hand?
Why does the find and replace functionality have to be so sloppy to use? I have a customer that sends me cmyk drawings and I need them to be rgb. They also have lines that need to be changed to hairline from .25pt. It's frustrating how difficult this is to accomplish due to the sloppy interface that CD has had ever since I've been using it - since v12.
How hard would it be to allow you to change the palette, line width and colors on lines and outlines in one step? Right now it's multiple steps and don't forget once to change the target color palette or you'll convert everything back to cmyk...
I used the "find and replace text" and although my spelling was correct, it dindn't "find" it... But now the box wont go away and I cannot do ANYTHING on my page!!!
Corel Draw X5 (32 bit) ships with gpl ghostscript 8.64 (32 bit). On my PC (win7 ultra x64) is installed gpl ghost script 9.02 (x64) too.
Does CDR use the built-in gs hard-coded or does it read the information from the registry (or some config file), so I could "redirect" CDR to my newer version? I´d like to do this (any problems about x64 ?) and then uninstall gs 8.64 (that came with CDR).
Is it possible to do so and tag here any problems about incompatibilities?
I am attempting to hyperlink from my CorelDraw file to a separate PDF. I want the link to work when I export my CorelDraw page to pdf, and I would like to be able to hyperlink to a different pdf file. A quick google search turned up a file:\ syntax to lead with in the hyperlink but I'm having trouble getting it to work.
Is there any way to lock or protect the image and text in a corel draw when you export as cdr, ai or pds. I need to give a document to a photoshop users but I don't want the person to be able to remove or export the image or copyright text line.
in coreldraw usually on small files having 7 to 8 pages i move pages by dragging its tab on the desired location. but how do i handle large files for eg moving page 49 before 15? the tabs list gets pretty long.
I have just had to install Windows 7 64 bit and now find that when I print to my HP Business Inkjet 2300, I can only print 1 page. If I set the quantity to 5, I still get just 1 page. HP won't be updating the driver as they say that the printer is obsolete although they are still selling it.
I would like to export a page I am creating as a jpg. Right now, I have one object on the page, and its a .jpg object. When I export from the File menu, only the jpg is exported. How can I export the entire page? If I add text to the object (which will be a banner). it only exports the jpg, and and the exact space required by the text, not the entire page. I have been unable to find setting for exporting selected objects or entire page. I have another less powerful drawing program that gives options to export object, selection, or page.
If I create a box, and place it on the document, the whole thing will export, but if the pox is larger than the page, then entire box is still exported, where I only want the page dimensions exported so I can eventually arrange objects ont he box that will overlap the page dimesnsions, but only the page area should be exported as a jpg.
Should I be doing this as a powerclip? I haven't used that feature yet in CD. Then export the powerclip object?
We just started using X6 here at work, we were using X3. In X3 I never had a problem with page dimensions, with X6 anytime I go 200" or more in either dimension I get blank PDFs. 199" by 199" works just fine.
So in document color settings in color management, should the primary color mode be RGB or CMYK? I only print inkets and never send stuff out to a regular printer.
should all color settings be at RGB if the option is offered?
Yesterday, suddently when editing text in a document, clicking outside of the text edit, CDR crashes:
Runtime error!
Program: c:Program Fi...
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I have tried to do the tricks, I googled, like resetting to factory, editing the xml file and running as administrator. Nothing works. It is when I edit any font, and in a new document also. AND update of CDR X4 with service pack 2 did not work.
Got the "Cannot open a blank document" ERROR Message when I went to open a recently created Corel Draw X5 file. Using Windows 7 Professional.First time I've gotten this message.
I have a senior project within CorelDRAW X6 (Student) that spans around 1200 pages spread across about 25 different .CDRs. I need to export all of those pages as .JPEGs so I can manipulate them in another program.
I know that you can batch export using a macro. But I only need exactly what's on the page at the page size. My solution was to crop each page (yes, one by one) and then later do a batch export on all of them. However, when batch exporting to .JPEG, I noticed that I was getting different results than when I had exported pages individually in the past. At first I thought this was a macro issue. But when I was trying various things I realized that anytime I closed a document after cropping it, upon reopen my drop shadows would be gone. And of course, I didn't realize this until I had already cropped all 1200 pages and was doing my batch export. I've tested it and if I crop a document and then batch export the pages before closing the document I can get the results I need. But that would require me to crop all 1200 pages again and my time is running short.
(Ignore the color differences here...I'm fairly certain it's because I didn't pay attention to my color settings on export here) Export before closing via file converter macro:
Export after closing file and then batch exporting via macro:
Any macro for cropping to page size and then exporting to jpeg (or other format) all in one fell swoop? This would hopefully bypass this issue and save me the huge problem of having to crop them all again. I could just open each document and run the macro. In theory, that would be quick.
