Is it possible to assign a type of link to an object or text where the user can open the document and click on the object which is on the first page and it will take them to a specified page set by the link? This is kind of like web design but not, know what I mean?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen setting a URL link to selected text in a text object, the link style (blue w/ underline) is not preserved after save, close & reopening. The url is still set if you select the same text.The biggest issue is when publishing to PDF, those links do not get published as it did in previous versions of CorelDRAW. This breaks thousands of our documents when publishing to pdf since we have upgraded from X3 to X6. This is a show stopper for us using X6.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
I am using CDR X5 SP1.
I need to replace a common image on every page of a 32pp document. The reason being the original one has no bleed on. I have retouched the image to include bleed, but how do I replace or re-link the new one?
There is no links showing up in my links dialog docker at all..?
Is there any free macro or any script in this forum to convert all the outlines (in a document or page) to objects .

When a new page or document is created, by default the zero point is set at the bottom left of the page. Is there a way to set it to another point like top left so that all new documents open with it set that way. (top left)
I am having a horrible time getting the page size to not be a whole number - not 8.5x11. It will not change even going into all the options in set up. Object sizing is doing the same thing. Somehow I have also lost the letter size in the page options - comes up custom. The set up shows that it is 8.5x11, but cannot adjust when a page is open. Things just keep changing in my Corel that I haven't changed.

The second image shows an example of the Object Manager as people have posted in other discussion topics.
How do I list all pages within the Object Manager as shown in this second example, and have the + and - buttons to expand the selection ?
We can make multi master pages for ODD and EVEN pages.

I have tried to do the tricks, I googled, like resetting to factory, editing the xml file and running as administrator. Nothing works. It is when I edit any font, and in a new document also. AND update of CDR X4 with service pack 2 did not work.
I was just fooling around with it one day and I made 2 guidlines intersect (one at 0 degrees and one at 90). I added a third one at 45 and tried to center it at the intersection of the first 2. It made a tiny tiny microscopic right triangle for some reason.
Also, sometimes the center is off on either the object or on the page. Like when I rotate copies of an object around another object (like making a clock face) the copies don't go perfectly all the way around. I redo it and it works fine.
Is precision an issue in CoreDRAW?
In the last 2 days Corel has decided to start changing Artistic Text to Paragraph Text when I copy & paste it across documents, completely changing the font, size & colour of what I am copying.
I've just done a factory reset & it's still doing it.
I don't recall doing anything that would change a setting.
The text I am copy & pasting are disclaimers that are all set on 1 document & I copy & paste them to a proof as needed.
I've got a Draw document in RGB.
I added some paragraph text - just dragged a text frame and typed some in. Why is it CMYK?
I made a contour, one step, of a rectangle. Broke it apart. Why is this new rectangle's outline CMYK?
I need to make a bunch of barcode tags for a client. I know CorelDraw isn't the best tool for this, but it's what I have and this is a one-time job.
To partially automate the process, I'm trying to use print merge to make the parts of the tags that aren't barcode, but I include the text that belongs in the barcode on the page. The print merge works correctly, I get what I expect. The next step would be to cut the barcode text, choose Insert Barcode, and then paste the barcode text into the barcode dialog.
Except, when trying to paste the text intended for the barcode I discovered that I was actually copying the <var1> field--not the text. I verified this by copying the "text" from the print merge document and then pasting back into the same document--what I got from the paste was not the expected text, but <var1>.
Since the barcode type I was using does not support the "<" character, it gave me an "invalid character" error.
My attempted solution was to publish to a PDF file and then import into a new document. This worked except for some reason CorelDraw makes a new layer named, inexplicably, "Layer 1" (there's a "Layer 1" by default, why make a second layer with the same name?) BUT when the import is done the new layer is NOT chosen in Object Manager, the original "Layer 1" is. Which means, when I go to copy the text and insert the barcode it ends up UNDER the other parts of the barcode tag which are on the NEW "Layer 1".
How can I get good faxed result after the graphic had been created and pasted to Words and Excel document? Even normal text in black would comes out faded not sharp.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a logo which appears in the footers of all of our technical manuals. Word recognizes it as a picture, and so our printer prints it in color, not black and white, so we are charged for the color copies.
I have exhausted my options in Word, and have been trying to create it as a TrueType font in DRAW, so word just thinks it's a symbol, not a picture.
The only file I have of the logo is a .bmp, so I've been tracing it to get it into vector form to manipulate. However, after all of my welding, combining, front minus back ect. ect. ect., I still can't get it down to the "1 object" requirement to make it a font.

For some reason i can no longer copy and paste text from one page to another properly.
I write the text out as normal (not using a text box) but when i copy and then try to past to another page it then does several other things.
It changes the font and cap height, puts it onto a text box and centres it on the page?
If i copy and paste text along with an object (say a simple box) everything copies and pastes perfectly, just not text on its own
I am new to CorelDraw and I have got an issue which might be potentially linked with master page / dynamic text or macros. I have got a multipage template with some text repetition on each page. Unfortunately those text have to be in different position and using different fonts.So setting up master page is not really solution, unless it can be done as above.

Using the grafic text, it aligns directly on/ over the outline of the oval shape.
