How can I increase the default text distance from the edge of an object? I need text a bit away from circle border.
I have been using Corel Draw primarily in my work for more than 20 years but have never taken the time to understand this....nor why on some artwork an object will move fractionally but on other artwork (specifically this time, a 20m x 10m workspace for vehicle signage) the objects move 200 or 300mm!?
I always thought this was a 'drawing precision' setting but even when I set that to 1 decimal place it doesn't seem to affect this.

Is there any way to adjust the dimensions, when dragged, with regular distance from object?
See differences by red arrows. The intention is that dimensions keep a pre-set regular distance.
Is it possible to do transparency all around the edge of an object. say you had drawn a circle can you make the edge all around transparent or say make just the middle transparent?
I often find that I would love to fade out in more than one direction.

I need to move the edge of an object without affecting the center of that object. Is there away to achieve this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOkay so I'm having issues with the text tabbing in X6 ,the tabs are set and double checked before it goes out for printing but when its printed some tabs just jump back to the edge. This also happens when the text box is updated(moved or re-sized). We have been having multiple problems with x6 now for a while , we have done the start with factory settings, which has only resolved previous issues temporarily as after a while the problem would reoccur. X5 never had these problems.

Using the grafic text, it aligns directly on/ over the outline of the oval shape. But I won't have the whole text in a round - I just want to have the paragraph's left side to be aligned/ positioned at the outer shape of the oval.

The url is still set if you select the same text.The biggest issue is when publishing to PDF, those links do not get published as it did in previous versions of CorelDRAW. This breaks thousands of our documents when publishing to pdf since we have upgraded from X3 to X6. This is a show stopper for us using X6.

The first time I do this after installation, CD asks me for a default duplicate distance.
I now want to change this default offset values. How can I do this? I can't find any option to change the default values.

Monitors are huge, so lets make it happen. I don't like having to scroll sideways with the slider to see full name of macros or tools when customizing.
this function is not functioning anymore. I may have done something to cause this but I don't recall.
Entering sizes in the text boxes does not change the object size anymore.
The only option right now is use the transform size docker...would rather not have to do that.
Also, would not like to hit F8...

I'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.

How can I do this?The problem is that I can't see how to identify the point in the text - the centre of the I - to act as the target. I can't seem to get any of the Snap to Object tools to work.
I feel that I should be able to mark a specific point anywhere on a shape or an object and use those points to align.
I suspect that I could achieve the effect that I want by splitting the text characters up into individual objects, than I can align them more obviously but then I set up some other issues with kerning.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to exclude single attributes from being defined in a object style? As example: i want to define an outline that does not change width of the objects, but everything else.
There is a small tick box right of every attribute with help text "None this object attribute is not defined by a custom style" but i can not mark it. My feeling is, that i need to switch on this tick box to get the result i need, but i can not. When i click on it, it just gives me a greyed out "Revert". When i try to make child styles, there is a way to break the connection to parent style with these tick boxes, but no luck.
Is it a bug? I tried it with X6, X6.1 and X6.2

I need to cut this football image out on my vinyl cutter, I tried boundry and contour but it keeps picking up the black center too. I need to just cut the outer edge.

I would like to add a white highlight to the eye of one of my images like the one in this image......so that it is white in the middle then gently fades to black without having a line around the edge. Been trying to do it but can't get the same effect.
I would like to cut out an oval shaped photo and insert it into the corner of a larger photo. The question is I would like the edge of the oval photo to fade away so it has a soft edge. How to I achieve this edge.

Im new to X6 from version 9 so I'm pretty clueless (and I'm self taught at that). How do I turn off the "auto edge detect" or whatever its called? For example...When I'm drawing with the Bezier or freehand tool and I am trying to go in between a tight space its constantly wanting to got to one of the edges.

How to tweak this page bar scrolls to right side edge, so that space can be provided for the pages. I have moved to the extreme right, but after restarting it is occupying all the space. Put that one to extreme right or even by removing also no problem for me, since i use hand tool very effectively than this.
Even the vertical bar as well (to remove or hide at least)
