CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Create Object And Text With Inner Shadow Like IPhone / ITunes Has
Jan 17, 2013
i would like to create same layout as below but the problem comes when i have to give inner shadow to any object as shown below. My idea is to get embedded look and feel like this itune web page has.
When I group a few objects together, and apply drop shadow to the group, I cannot edit the individual object in the group (cannot pick it to move it or resize it etc) without removing the drop shadow.
I would like to know how to create the shadow effect as pointed with the red arrow, if this design is to be printed to 2 spot color (Orange 021 C and Black)
After applying drop shadow to a text, I find no direct way to edit the text without removing the drop shadow. I've tried the text tool, Ctrl-Click, Alt-Click, Shift-Click, etc, maybe I missed something.
Is there a way by which i can create an elliptical shaped radial fill into any object in coreldraw x6? Currently coreldraw has similar fill tools like in adobe illustrator. Both support linear and radial fills, but adobe illustrator has a way by which the circular radial fill can be squeezed, and be given more of an elliptical radial fill shape.Cann we have some way by which we can squeeze the radial gradient fill into more of an elliptical shape in coreldraw? That fucntion greatly supports more natural looking radial fills into objects. Can it be possibly done without using mesh tools? i am attaching an adobe illustrator screenshot to point out what i am asking for.
I wish to align a text like this at an oval shape. The field of the text body does align at all - which I can understand. Using the grafic text, it aligns directly on/ over the outline of the oval shape. But I won't have the whole text in a round - I just want to have the paragraph's left side to be aligned/ positioned at the outer shape of the oval.
When setting a URL link to selected text in a text object, the link style (blue w/ underline) is not preserved after save, close & reopening. The url is still set if you select the same text. The biggest issue is when publishing to PDF, those links do not get published as it did in previous versions of CorelDRAW. This breaks thousands of our documents when publishing to pdf since we have upgraded from X3 to X6. This is a show stopper for us using X6.
How do I take like SHARKS text and place it inside the shape of a shark outline so the text takes the shape of the shark shape then I remove the outline shape and the letters stay the shape of the shark outline.
Is it possible to assign a type of link to an object or text where the user can open the document and click on the object which is on the first page and it will take them to a specified page set by the link? This is kind of like web design but not, know what I mean?
I want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.
I'm trying to wrap an image around a curved object. This is a front elevation of a sign I am attempting to render and the sign wraps around a pole. What I am attempting to do is not just "squeeze" the copy but actually attempt to show what the image will look like if you are looking directly at it which means that the closest portion of the image will look normal but as you look further out towards the edges then the graphic and copy would appear to merge and disappear backwards. I hope I am explaining this well. I am trying to wrap my brain around this concept. I know you can do this in photoshop with stretching but cannot fathom how I can attempt this in CorelDraw or Illustrator.
My problem concerns about shadows of outline In fact, I want to create a soft, shaded border. Effect which I want to achieve can be seen in the picture below, basically it is a design of an soccer jersey.
I tried drop shadow technique but the result is too large and inaccurate shadow. Also, I tried to create an custom artistic media brush, but the result is not as I expected. Is it out of a job that Corel can perform ?
I often have the need to remove the drop shadow effect. Currently what I do is to "Break Drop Shadow Group Apart" then delete it from object manager. However with other effects such as Transparency, I can simply set the Effect to None. Can this be done with Drop Shadow?
OK Where is it? It is not in any of the tools listed, I have mine down the left side of the page. Do I need to go somewhere else and add the tool to the tool box?
I have problem with printing shadows. I have dark gray background and I made box to which I created shadow. No problem there. But when I print the document, the box surrounding shadow (the one I can use to change dimension or rotate, which isnt visible) changes my dark gray background.
Here is a free macro which saves a little time. It creates an inner shadow on one or more selected shapes. There are a few presets on the macro and if you want to adjust the transparency slightly, click the undo arrow, adjust the transparency and then reapply.
I apply a red glow on an object (rectangle) on an black background. When exported as JPEG or PDF, the red glow color faded become greyish. I check that it's same when I turn the proof colors on.I've change different modes for the drop shadow but none gives the correct result.
This only happens in CMYK mode. When exported as RGB, it's fine.
Copy drop shadow properties is not working for me. When I click on the object to copy to, it tells me, "you did not click on an object." What do I need to do?
Edit: actually, I'm seeing that this is not working in Contour, either. And it may not be working in other effects as well, although I haven't tested those.
