I need to locate or create a Macro that would read a text file that contains
x postion, y position, and diameter.
Each of the 4000 circles in this file are a different diameter. There is no linear progression.
I am attempting to create a tag system that will have a 5 digit number but must be printed as shown below

We have to create a file to be engraved that has 2000 consecutive numbers and we cannot figure out how to make them appear stacked using the merge feature.
One of my customers has come to me with a job of engraving and cutting out personalised seat name tags for large football/soccer stadiums upto 75,000 tags.This will envolve engraving seat numbers and details in to a sheet of acrylic 600mm x 600mm in size (each tag is 80mm x 40mm so approx 78 per sheet)
Whilst I can design the template or drawing quite easliy, I can't seem to get the data from the .csv file (each tag will have 3 records in it. SEAT NUMBER, NAME, MESSAGE) in to just one page / template. when I use the print merge function all I can seem to produce is 78 pages of one seat tag each.
I'm sure there must be a way of producing the 78 tag template so I can just import the relivant data, but I'll be a monkeys uncle if I can find it....

I am using Corel for driving a fiber laser through a dedicated Net connection not available to the rest of the network and it and my computer are right next to the switch.
My problem is that when I send a job from the PC to the laser it works fine. If I make a small change on the graphics, I save it and send a new job to the laser. Quite often, some part of my grapics is left off the plot even though I didn't touch that graphic or mod it. So I send the job over again and now somewhere else is missing some of the graphic word...usually a word or a letter or number. I usually turn off the computer or get out of Corel and come back in and it is fixed. That doesn't sound like a network dropped or corrupted graphic. I have tried turning off the laser with Corel still up and it doesn't fix the problem when I bring the laser on line again.
How do I create a hyperlinked text in CD X6? I have attempted:
Select the text with the Text Tool
Open the Links and Bookmarks docker
Select the New Link button
Select File as the Link Type
Browse to the file
When I click away from the text to unselect it the file I browsed to disappears. I am attempting to link to a htm file.

I want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.
Can you download a Google Docs Drawing file as a file.svg type And then import it to CorelDraw and convert it to a bunch of CorelDraw vector based lines that can be modified like any other CorelDraw line drawing?
BTW, this is a drawing of a character and is simply b&w lines & shapes on a white background.Line widths vary in the original and we want to be able to modify them even more using all the tools in CorelDraw.
I was able to open the .svg file with CorelDraw but when attempting to 'Edit' a line in the drawing I couldn't change the line width... so it isn't behaving like a CorelDraw vector drawing.
I´m trying to extract text from a Corel file to a TXT file in another editor and then merge it back in.Extracting the text seems to be working just fine but when I´m trying to merge it back in I get the error message "Wrong file format or could not open".

I am having an issue with CD X6. I opened a file created in X5 using the new X6 and it worked just fine. The problem is when I send the file to my image setter to image a plate, part of the text in the heading of what is to be printed is getting lost somewhere in transmission. When I view the file in the print preview in CD all the content is there, however, when I view the raster image at the rip station before imaging the plate I notice parts of the text in the heading is missing. I have attached an image of the raster file .
Now when I send the same file using X5 the image goes thru without any issues and all the content is secure. I created a new page in X6 and copied over the text that I am having trouble with and the same thing happens. I am attaching the CDX6 file with all the fonts used.
So since we installed CorelDraw x6 the one file we have been working on is a long text file and it slowes every thing down drasticly.We did think updating would work so we did that and it still lags.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am building a big catalog for hundreds of products, and it would be a life savior if i could connect dynamically the (customized) text (fields) in the .cdr file to an external excel file data. For example smth like the text field "Title" to be taking its values from the column "Description" of the excel file, incrementally as each line of the excel file could represent a record. This way also when the excel file changes, (because it will be probably like 10 more versions before it gets final), the content inside the corel draw file will change automatically as well.

I need to import an pdf file which contains text in black colour in corel draw X5. By default it import the file in RGB colour model but I want the same in cmyk colour model.
View 2 Replies View Related(CORELDRAW X6.3) Today I tried to export a .jpg file (text file) for a banner that was 6ft x 18ft. The export function wouldn't allow the 18ft, but changed it to like 9ft.
Tried in same in X3 and had the same result.
I could export the file as a .pdf and it worked just fine.
The question is, is there a maximum export size?
For some reason I am having issues converting a CDR file to PDF which contains objects/text with fountain fills.
I have looked at some previous posts detailing the same problem, have followed their remedies, i.e. "render complex fills as bitmaps" in the advanced tab in the PDF conversion pane. Despite these best efforts I am still having the problem of my black background; fixed in the "page layout" tab being corrupted, resulting in the background being the fountain fill once converted.
I'm perfectly happy with the TrueType font (BankGothic Md BT), but all the style settings change to the T1 equivalent every time I close, and when I open the file again the T1 text does not show up. I can go through and reset all the styles, then re-apply them, but it wastes a lot of time.

I tried in system properties settings / advanced to allow DEP to allow Corel as an exception but it seems Corel requires dep to run.
Every crash , then file won't open, I have had to go back to backup file.
I'm having some trouble setting my workflow and I need linking data to corel draw from excel. Basically, what I want to do is to have excel data automatically copy from Excel to Draw and "Paste Special / Paste Link Objects/MS Excel Worksheet is almost what I need.
It would be perfect if only it would copy CONTENT of the Excel file or cells, not their formating (font, size, border etc.) which I want to do in Corel, since separation of the content (excel) and form (draw) would be just natural and functional - don't want my number crunchers to affect design of the Draw document, just as I don't want to have my designer to do the math
So - is there way to link objects (cells from Excel) but to transfer content (text) only or should I revert to VBA?
I have a series of points that I calculated (x-y data pairs, they're conic sections from calculus if that matters), and I want to import those points and then sometimes fit either a) a line or b) a curved rectangle (like, a really wide line) that follows these data points.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I create my merge document, regardless of how many pages, I will need to make edits to some of the text. Corel will randomly crash when I try to edit the text. Every time. I have lots of work to do and have not the time to deal with this.

i´m using CRD since X3 so I think i´m quite experienced with all the crashes and uncompatibilities but now I have a problem which I can´t solve.
I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...

I am a relatively new user of Corel Draw. When using the variable data print feature, the images seen in the print preview look correct, but when the page is printed the same data is output in all 4 images. This does not happen every time. I suspect there is something going wrong with the print merge data buffer. I have not been able to reproduce the error. I have created a detailed script to for others to follow when running this job.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using x6 to create datasheets & need to insert tables to hold the data.Most of the time when doing anything to a table ...combining cells, splitting cells or almost anything, nothing actually works & x6 ends up crashing.
When starting a table, i click on the table icon, go up to the columns & rows box & type the numbers that i want ...but whatever i type, a 3 x 3 table appears.
why (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
We are having a big problem with dropping lines of text or parts of graphics. It is happening on 3 different laser systems and 2 different printers.
View 14 Replies View RelatedOften whatever I'm working on in X4 disappears off the document page when I zoom in or out. It's still there (I can see it in the print preview)and I can print it, but I can't see it no matter what view (e.g., normal, draft, etc.) I select. If I select the entire page I can see the graphic and text handles, but nothing else. The only way I can see my work again is to save it, close the program, and then re-open the file. My computer is a Dell Precision Work Station T3400 running Vista Ultimate with an Intel Core2 Quad CPU, 4GB RAM, and my graphics card is an NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 256MB. All my software and drivers are up to date. The problem occurs no matter what screen resolution or refresh rate I'm using.

Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram
