I have photoshop 7 and I wish to remove unwanted objects from photos and replace them with the current background. I have tried to use the healing brush tool , and the cloning tool, but I do not have content aware. How can I replace unwanted elements in my photos with the current background using my version of photoshop. The welcome screen to my edition says it is possible?

My goal is to use it regularly in the future on/with new backgrounds.
Currently I have the text on a background.
All I want to do is (retaining the text) replace it with another background.
I have a .jpg where I am trying to replace the background color. I choose a sage green in the replacement color picker, and it shows properly in the dialog box, but in the actual picture I get a dark gray instead of sage green. I checked Image>Mode and it is set to RGB color. How can I get the color I want?
View 11 Replies View RelatedDuring design development dimensions get modified a lot. E.g. shorten something by 25mm I just edit the feature dimension by tagging on "-25" in the edit dimension box. If lots of modifications are made the dimension gets messy since all the edits are saved (e.g. 150 mm - 25 mm +1 mm -5 mm). In sketch mode, I just retype the shown dimension, but for other features like offset work planes, extrusion depth, etc, the actual value isn't even shown anywhere. Is there any easy way to replace the formula with the current dimension value without having to measure the feature?
Basically, I like being able to use the dimension entry box as my calculator, but more often then not, don't want the calculation history saved.
In AutoCAD Architecture 2009, we had this awesome button that would basically "lock" the z-axis. This was very handy to move 3D objects around in the same plane.
Now in AutoCAD 2013, the button is no longer there! I found that you can make it a full-time change in the Options/Drafting tab, but we like to switch back and forth with this and that button was really handy.
I've also read that in older versions you could run the "AecProject.arx" file, but we don't have that in our AutoCAD 2013 folder (and I can't find it anywhere else on our hard drives.)
We do have AutoCAD Architecture 2013 but I was trying to only utilize what I needed rather than turn on Architecture every day.

I have several photographs of objetcs like chairs, stools. lamps and i need to remove (make transparent) the whole background so the object can be used as a logo or icon. I was thinking of using the wand and delete area or inversing the selection to remove unwanted background.
I have Gimp 2.64 and was wondering if there is a way to get rid of a car in a photo. I can use clone tool but that won't work for what i need so i need to crop out car but i also need to fill in that space

All is fine except when i look at the objects in a 'hidden' view these weird diagonal lines appear over the objects. I am unable to clcik these but when i zoom in they gradually disappear but. If I try to plot the object as shown these lines are printed. This also happens when saving to pdf.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with a logo I've created in an svg. file. I seem to have to finalized, but when I save it as a pdf. to take it to the printers I see parts of the logo suddenly have no stroke or stroke has been added in other parts.
I don't seem to have any hidden layers I don't think. I'm not sure if there is a setting to change in the window that gives you all the options to choose from when you're saving something as a pdf. Or is there a setting I should be activating when finalizing this logo as an svg that prevents such problems. I'm pretty new to illustrator, before this I was using inkscape which I got the feel of until i decided to go pro with illustrator.

I want to replace green background in the top image to darker and lighter pink stripes to match the color of the website.
I've been going in the direction of:
1) Select color range (Pick green and just + the other shades of green to it)
2) Create Clipping mask from the Selection (I actually have all the green backround on white and nothing else on the screen).
Why does the find and replace functionality have to be so sloppy to use? I have a customer that sends me cmyk drawings and I need them to be rgb. They also have lines that need to be changed to hairline from .25pt. It's frustrating how difficult this is to accomplish due to the sloppy interface that CD has had ever since I've been using it - since v12.
How hard would it be to allow you to change the palette, line width and colors on lines and outlines in one step? Right now it's multiple steps and don't forget once to change the target color palette or you'll convert everything back to cmyk...
I'm completely new to Gimp, and have one task that I would like to complete. I'm a fiberartist and would like to replace the backgrounds in my photos with a gradient one.
I have managed to create a "gradient image", and have also tried to follow a PDF tutorial, and YouTube video. The dialog boxes didn't match and I wasn't successful. I tried finding "decompose" and "mask", but it may be the instructions weren't spot on.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI love annotative scaling of objects it is a great feature. I am however having one problem that I'm not sure if I've missed a setting or something. Is there a way to prevent civil 3d from scaling your annotative objects based on the view scale you are looking at? For example if I zoom out (in model space or max viewport) to show my entire drawing and regen, civil 3d scales all my text and blocks to an enomous scale esentially blocking my entire drawing with solid colour. also if I zoom into a small area to do some detail work all my text becomes microscopic and unuseable. This makes adjusting text so it doesn;t overlap other text very difficult if it never appears at the correct size. Is there a way to freeze annotative objects at thier correct scale (for the current viewport scale) so they dont scale simply because you zoom in or out on a drawing?
