I want to replace green background in the top image to darker and lighter pink stripes to match the color of the website.
I've been going in the direction of:
1) Select color range (Pick green and just + the other shades of green to it)
2) Create Clipping mask from the Selection (I actually have all the green backround on white and nothing else on the screen).

I know it is quite easy to do in Photoshop, but I forgot how to do this. I want to replace green background in the top image to darker and lighter pink stripes to match the color of the website.

I would like to create a background that begins with one color and gradually changes to a lighter color.
This type of background is on both the side panel and main panel of the page.
I am not looking for textures or vertical or horizontal lines.
Just a simple effect.
How would I go about creating this type of background?
I have had pink stripes occur on four different downloads on LR4. I have been an Aperture user for several years and was making the switch to LR4 but growing concerned with this issue and need to know what is causing it before I continue down this path. I have never had this occur before in Aperture. My hard drive is relatively new, my memory and storage is fine. I did switch to a different card reader to see if it would work.

We are trying to make a little art project with my daughter for her school, so my wife went and took pics of each of the kids in her class making a "heart shape" with their hands. I have the backgrounds that will go behind them all complete, so I just need to extract the hands. Well, I thought I was being smart by purchasing a green piece of fabric to put behind them, but this has almost caused more of a hassle. In the original hand picture, you cannot really see the problem, but after extracting the hands from the original, there is all kinds of green that has bled into the skin color of the kids' arms.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI open a photoshop file, I get a pink background covering parts of the canvas that otherwise would be white (or some other color) due to a solid color layer being used as the background layer (or rather, the bottom most layer). I've never had this problem before and have been using the same copy of photoshop for months. I haven't changed any settings, but nonetheless held down ctrl+alt+shift and apparently deleted the settings file in hopes if fixing this problem. but, i'm still getting the pink background. it's a quick fix to redo a solid color layer or even to delete the pink background (although it doesn't even belong to a certain layer.. i am just able to magic wand it and delete) but whenever i open the file, the pink background reappears.

I don't want the overlaid image to appear between the stripes, only on them. Is there any way to do this without having to erase the overlay image where it covers the white/transparent background?
Example: imagine the red and white stripes of the American flag, and I want to overlay the text of the Gettysburg Address on the flag, but only on the red stripes, and the text itself is rotated at about a 15 degree angle to horizontal. Much of the text will, thus, be missing, and it won't be readable as a text, but that's exactly the effect I want.

I've a pdf created with auto cad 2013 printed with adobe pdf. I put it into the Photoshop cs6, but it always make my image lighter, and i have to adjust exposure, levels or brightness to see the image fine. And i don't like doing this because the image is not exactly the same...

I have this friend who work with the same tools and his pdf is perfect in his Photoshop. I think is a rastering issue because the pdfs looks great until the Photoshop interpret the image.

I am selecting an image. When I choose the pink stuff ( quick mask), I can paint pink, but when I switch it back to normal... I can't remove the pink.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter Update 2 and Hotfix 1 (I haven't noticed after which of them exactly it happened) some options in X6, when they are active, are receiving some grey-pink background together with the small icon near them - for example Object position, Object size, Angle of rotation and others. You will see them when you select some object.
In the same color are also some items in the menus without obvious principle. I don't think that this is intentional. Or I cannot see it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using Adobe Bridge to combine sets of 3 photos with different exposures to create HDR images and sending them to Photoshop. So far today I made 20+ such images and successfully saved them into PSDs.
I just ran into an odd problem. After clicking 'Merge to HDR' in the Bridge -> Photoshop option, Photoshop did it's thing of merging my 3 images. The preview window came up, it looked perfect, so I clicked 'Ok'. Then it created an Untitled document (as it always does), except that this image is much darker than what was shown in the preview. I tried doing some light adjustments, can't get it to be what I saw in the preview window.
All of my other HDR creations were exactly the same as I saw in the preview window. What's going on?
in photoshop CS4, I use Adobe RGB (1998) as my working profile. I open a document, I change it's profile from RGB, using "view"-"mode", to anything else, say Lab, and everything is fine up to now, but then I undo the change, and what I get is a darker image than before. I don't get the original image I opened. Same thing happens if I use the "convert to profile" option also.
I close the image and reopen it, it still looks darker. I restart photoshop and open the image, only then I get the original image with normal colors again. This happens only when I convert back to RGB, not from RGB and not between any other profiles.
at some point, change the color profile from RGB to any other profile and then back to RGB the image looks darker, and the only way to fix this is restarting photoshop. this didn't happen in any versions before cs4, what should I do?
I have Photoshop CS. When I try to use the type tool by clicking on it and then clicking on the image (to place the cursor), the background of the iamge turns a pinkish colour. My foreground and background colours are both white. My settings are default ones.

If I view the saved version of the file in PS there are no issues, but once I view it in a browser, the issue arises.
Is there a way to control this? I've never had this problem before while working with photographs or other files.
For the record I'm using PS 6.0 for PC and the browser I'm using is IE 5.5.
