CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Grey-pink Background With Small Icon

After Update 2 and Hotfix 1 (I haven't noticed after which of them exactly it happened) some options in X6, when they are active, are receiving some grey-pink background together with the small icon near them - for example Object position, Object size, Angle of rotation and others. You will see them when you select some object.
In the same color are also some items in the menus without obvious principle. I don't think that this is intentional. Or I cannot see it?

I have a light pink background behind an image which I would like to turn pure white. How can I select the image and white out the background without changing the image? None of the mask tools seem to have any effect.

I did my first logo design for a customer. I exported all the files in CMYK. My customer just let me know that when she printed the logo off on her printer it came out a fushia pink color instead of the dark purple.

How do I change my background screen colour in full edit, as it has gone from grey to bright pink!

I am trying to generate some graphics for my I-phone App. Most of the images can be SVG files which works out great but some of what I need has to be PNG format. So, I need a graphic that is about 50px square and has to be a PNG file.
I have attached a CDR that is a resolution of 10000dpi but when I export to PNG and make it 50px wide it looks like ca-ca :). The problem is in my App i will need to zoom in on the 50px wide image. How can I create small PNG files that I can zoom in on and still look crisp?

I have a problem with X6 that did not exist in X4 (have not used X5).
When I use the dimensioning tool for distances/features smaller than the dimension text, CorelDraw forces the text between the arrows. The result is the text sits over the arrows.
In X4 at the point where the item being dimensioned is smaller than the text, the dimension was put off to one side.
For example, If I were to dimension a feature that is 0.005" Clearly I would not be able to put the dimension "0.005" in that area so it should be off the end of one of the dimension arrows.
I've tried every combination of keys while drawing the dimensions. And thinking the position of the cursor at end of the command might work but to no avail. Is there a way for force the dimension text to be offset and not between the arrows?

Currenty I have my X6 installed on 2 systems. The first time, I installed in on my desktop to test it out, then I installed it on my laptop.
When I have Draw open on the desktop, The little green icon in the bottom left is there and shows tha I am signed in. However, when I am on my laptop, the icon is not thre at all. When you go to the help button and look - it says "sign out" which would indicate that I am signed in...

But I have not figured out how to customize the icon on the Taskbar.

I have a simple design in coreldraw X5 and a rectangle with a postscript fill (example: color bubles), now whenever i print out this artwork the rectangle prints in a dark grey color and the rest is OK.
Before i used X4 and the same artwork with the same printer were working perfectly, but now this is happening since i use X5

I've been battling with moving tool bars between my CorelX4 PC's. I think I've finally figured out how to do it so far. Export/Import RecordedMacro.bas 'First' and make sure it's the same name on both PC's as importing a new one renumbers the *.bas file. I think this made a difference anyway.
Export/Import Workspace Toolbar next. I found if I imported the workspace first, I couldn't get the new toolbar to work.
Now, if I want to edit the colors of the toolbar as shown below, the current color doesn't show in the editing window, nor do I have any color options.

I used to click on the A in the toolbox and look up on the menu to change between paragraph text and artistic text but I can't find that icon or any icons to choose paragraph text. It eludes in customizing the tookbox too?
How do I get that paragraph text tool to show up in menus, bars and the toolbox?

I have a tool bar for all the macros that I use regularly.
While we can add shortcut icon onto the tool bar by simply drag and drop, I couldn't figure out the way to remove icon from the tool bar.

I had the free trial of X5 and it expired. So, I paid for the download of X5 but I cannot find the icon in the drop down list? I may have deleted it at some point but there is nothing in the recycle bin.
I was able to use the capture tool..and I think i can show the list in question..but I am totally new to using capture. Ok..how do I include in this message anything that I "captured"?

I am using corel x3 a long time but never, never had this kind of problem. When i work in corel enviorenment after i have finished my work i go to save my work. But then is the problem It Saves the file with Large Memory on it. let's say if the file normally would be 200 K, now it saves with 3 MB. And if i import some other files in my work then the saved file will be even bigger. If i Delete the files that were imported The Saved File will be Again the same SIZE ! Even if a take one part of the file, let's say if i import only one small text and put it in another file and save it like that, the saved file will be 2 MB. I had a lots of problems, i had saved files on this way with 23-24 MB and when i open them it takes like forever. When you look that file in corel it has nohing in it, absolutely nothing that should be 24 MB. But all of my important work is in that files how to make all things back to normal again,

I have a picture of a dog I am trying to print on my dtg printer, but when I import it there is a box around the dog. When I enable the white to print underneath the dog I get the box (which is all white, then the dog prints on top). How do I remove the box and just have the dogs picture?

When you open the welcome screen and you choose "New from Template" the welcome screen in the background is missing the left side of the welcome screen.
And when you close the "new from template" window, it stays missing and you cannot choose any of your recent "open documents".

Any good way to extend the background of a picture? I have a picture of a person, and their head is very close to the top of the image. The background has grass and trees. Because of the way I want to print it, I need the background to extend up further. Is there an easier way than just manually using the clone feature? Something like the smart carver - but extending the pic instead of contracting it.

How to get a background, the same on every page of a booklet, with bleed for printing? Using Page Layout/Background will only size to the page, no bleed. There must be a way to have a Master Layer as a static background (with bleed) but when I try it always sits on top of every page & I cannot bring the page text to the front.

I have a JPG with a graphic over a white background. I converted to GIF using Corel PHOTOPAINT. In the GIF Export window, hitting the background with the eyedropper tool is supposed to make anything that color transparent. Things appeared to be working when I clicked the Preview button. But....
Whenever I try to put this new GIF on top of another bitmap, I still have the white rectangle background. I tried I converting the secondary background image to GIF, but I still have the original white box around the first image.

I'm creating two websites for two different clients, and both gave me scanned copies of their logos. I converted them to GIF, JPG, BMP and PNG (from MS paint program), followed all the directions found online in various combinations to remove the white background from these logos. Here's a sample of what I did:
import logo; edit bitmap; change background; used magic wand on white areas; close paint & export doc. I've tried various combinations of clicking on options like transparency, masking, changing the tolerance and nothing works.
On one the white background simply won't go away after saving to my desktop, and on the other there is a grey/white checkerboard pattern on the background.
When it's all said & done, I need to upload these to Wix.com as a PNG.
I'm at my wits end been trying to do this for two days after work, wondering if Corel is even capable of doing this, or if my clients' logos are just unusable or if I'm just losing it.

My background in Corel 5 is no longer white. It is a light yellow or cream & is very hard on my eyes Windows update downloaded an update for my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 2233) & printer. When I opened Corel 5, I was asked what colour management I wanted, I did not know. I believe I selected "monitor based" or something like that, the way the question was, made me believe I was choosing the same setting as before. Obiviously wrong. Using Corel draw 5 help I selected "page background" picked solid: choose white but did not change. I then choose "no background" but did not change.
I have restarted corel 5 to no avail.

I have been getting an immense number to images lately that have that wonderful white background.
I simply use the masking tools and cut/paste back into Draw to get a transparent background, but it is time consuming.
Any way to do this with Replace Colors?

I need to remove a background from an object which I have imported into Photo Paint and by using the Wand have removed the white background. But when I go to export it and save it as a png file it puts the white background back in with the saved file. I need the object to have a transparent background so that I can place it overtop other objects and not see the white of the background.
