CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Can't Find Launch Icon In Dropdown Menu
Nov 1, 2011I had the free trial of X5 and it expired. So, I paid for the download of X5 but I cannot find the icon in the drop down list? I may have deleted it at some point but there is nothing in the recycle bin.
I was able to use the capture tool..and I think i can show the list in question..but I am totally new to using capture. Ok..how do I include in this message anything that I "captured"?

Nov 11, 2013I need to be able to automatically number pages with a preset. Coreldraw can already do what I need using the PageNumbering macro but I have to enter the individual settings for each template every time. I simply want the included PageNumbering macro but with the option to save 5 presets. If possible I would like the option of saving the presets to a file that can be shared with other workstations so I don't have to manually recreate.

Feb 17, 2012I've been battling with moving tool bars between my CorelX4 PC's. I think I've finally figured out how to do it so far. Export/Import RecordedMacro.bas 'First' and make sure it's the same name on both PC's as importing a new one renumbers the *.bas file. I think this made a difference anyway.
Export/Import Workspace Toolbar next. I found if I imported the workspace first, I couldn't get the new toolbar to work.
Now, if I want to edit the colors of the toolbar as shown below, the current color doesn't show in the editing window, nor do I have any color options.

Sep 10, 2013I just got a new system installed corel draw fresh, loaded all my gms's , imported workspace , great all work as before all my menus are nice and active...,
However my custom gradients have disappeared..., it took me a while to set up certain gradients and I removed lots of the useless default ones that were there preset in the previously installed corel draw.
I accessed my old hard drive and found the gradient preset file however when I copied and replaced with the old gradient file the gradient data is not there....

is there another location where my old gradients would be saved?

Feb 1, 2011I have three MAC's using Parallels with Windows 7 X64 on a domain. I cannot get Corel Draw x5 to launch on one. It just simply crashes and records Failed to Release Mutex Error ID = Returned Error 288 & 1 in the event log. I have tried removing Corel Draw from the workstation 3x in combination with manual and automatic. I have spent over 8 hours on this and cannot find a solution on line. I have removed user settings as well. I have the original media. I have tried downloading another copy from CNET but the key will not work.

Apr 8, 2013My program was running fine. I did not use it for a month or so and when I went to use it last week it would not launch. I just got a message that Corel Draw had to stop, do you want to sent an error message etc. I used the disk to try to do a repair, removed the program and reinstalled it a couple of times and still get the same message.

Apr 10, 2011I have tried to use the Macro recorder to record the keystrokes as I get the dimensions from the top of the rectangle to each line of text & from the edge of the triangle to each line of text. Unfortunately the recorder could not record.

Jul 26, 2013Using the code from "MakeMeACircle" macro. How can I modify it to "InserCircle"? I have it working now but only if the shape is square and aligned to the bottom left of the page. If I move the square anywhere else and run the macro the "Ellipse" is created outside the square and is "squished" instead of a perfect circle.
Who knows maybe there's a macro that already exists to insert a circle inside any shape?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Macro Doesn't Seem To Work
Apr 6, 2012I have been upgrading to X6 from X5. I wanted to install a CorelDRAW macro called "Function Plotter", written by Alex Vakulenko, into X6. When upgrading from X4 to X5 I just manually placed a certain file (Plotter14.gms) into the Draw GMS folder in the program directory. Then back in CorelDRAW X5 I choose Tools > Options > Customization > Commands in order to place an icon in the toolbar, making access to the macro. It worked back then. However when I try the same procedure in X6 it doesn't work. I can see the file under "Commands" and place an icon, but nothing happens when I press the button. Maybe it has something to do with 64 bit, which from what I can see in this Forum causes a lot of trouble (scanner drivers, plugins, etc)?
This macro is extremely important for me. I have tried contacting Alex, but with no success so far. In the meanwhile I need to install X5 again..

Sep 13, 2012I use the supplied macro in X5 to convert CDR to EPS which works fine for me, but my only problem is sometimes fonts default since some of those CDR files are not created on the same PC I use the macro.
Is there anyway to get the Font Matching dialog box displayed, so that I subsituute to a font of my choice rather then it use other fonts?

Nov 26, 2012I am just newly figuring out that I can complete repetitive tasks by recording a macro, simple right? I am trying to power clip an imported image into a shape via macro but it is not working.. I am getting Run-Time error's... Parameter Index is out of range.
I have one "shape" and 25 different car logo's I am needing to power clip the logo inside the shape with the click of the "macro" and it is just NOT WORKING! I understand that I can complete the task at hand by simply creating 25 bitmaps, one with each logo then simply importing that into my document, but I need to figure this Macro for this out because it will become more complex and time consuming as time goes on and I add more logos and different shapes in which I need to power clip them into. I simply understand that I can hit the "RECORD" button, do what needs done and then hit stop.. then of course do this again later by playing the macro.

I need a macro to cycle through all objects on a page and IF it finds an object that is LARGER than 13" wide, it will unproportionaly size each object to exactly 13" wide (leaving the height of the object alone.) and then after all of the scaling/sizing is complete then to select all objects and right align them (Like when you select all objects and hit the letter R key.

Sep 14, 2011We have certain registration marks that we use on our designs before we print to vellum. How to be able to write a macro that could do the following? I've attached an example image of where we place the registration marks and am also attaching the actual registration mark CDR file. I'm assuming this would probably be rather simple...
We'd like this registration mark to be centered to the image and placed on the top and bottom of the image at .25 inches away from the image itself. So, I would think the macro would have to select the entire image on the page, then decide where .25 inches is away from the top and bottom of the image and place the registration mark, centered in that area.

Aug 24, 2012Here's a macro I've used for quite some time. Feel free to use or modify as needed. Install, select text and run. Hold shift and the selected text will round/curve more.
Why I created? I do a lot of graphics that need the top line of text to be curved. I can easily select the top line and press a button and the macro curves it upwards. If I need more curve I hold shift and run. If I need more or less curve still, I make the item in question, the text, larger or smaller. All done by eye and it's fast.
