When you open the welcome screen and you choose "New from Template" the welcome screen in the background is missing the left side of the welcome screen.
And when you close the "new from template" window, it stays missing and you cannot choose any of your recent "open documents".
P.S. I have already tried the infamous "F4"
X5 Recently have begun missing parts of print out. Tried to duplicate but appears completely random.
Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram
I installed Corel Draw 12 on a new machine with Vista HP, and I cannot git rid of the registration nag screen. I lost my registration info a long time ago, and have tried the "never register" option, but the nag screen keeps coming up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to uninstall X5 to install it again. Because when I try and any of the programs connected to it I get blank screens. I'm completely dumbfounded.. When I click on it to "UNINSTALL" I also get the green bar for about 2 seconds, but the box is completely blank. No buttons or anything.

I use the "Optimised for professional output setting" in Colour Management which I never change.
Now, rather than looking fairly close to printed colours, they look very bright... too bright! (see screen shot)
I think that i have had this problem before and i ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. I would like to avoid this if i can as have have a lot of custom settings that i would have to re-do.
I’d like to copy an object a distance that I specify on screen. I can see how to copy a specified number of inches, but that is very awkward. You have to measure the distance (horizontal and vertical) and then input the numbers, then click “apply”. Is there a simpler way to do it?
Or is there a way to paste at a specified location? If I do an Edit>Copy then Edit>Paste, it pastes the new object on top of the old one.
I suspect that there is no way to do this, but it seemed so logical....How can I rotate the actual view of a page in DRAW? I have these box designs that I get handed, done somewhere else on the planet, with changes to various panels that are shown as upside down or at 90 degrees to the original page. I have to squint and cough backwards to read them.
Of course, for text, I can do an edit, but usually the text has been converted to curves many revisions ago. I looked, but could find no option for simply rotating the view, which would solve the problem.Surely there is a view "object" that gets filtered through the various existing View options, meaning that a simple set of transforms should also be able to rotate the entire pageview.
I do know how to kludge it, by selecting ALL and then rotating everything around a center point, but it requires than everything be selectable, and I use layers a LOT, for keeping the background frozen, for example. So, to get to a simple view of a small section on some sideways box tab, I have to unlock everything, select everything, rotate, edit, and then rotate back again and relock all the locked layers. It would make life simpler to have rotation as an option in View. Unless there's a better way???(And, no, the monitor is even harder to twist around.)
after installing the update to 6.2 on my spare system coreldraw just starts with it's welcome screen in any browser (standard-browser: ie, firefox or chrome) instead of corel itself. therefore i can't work with coreldraw anymore - even cannot close it. have to kill process in task-manager.
no uninstalling possible because of the same failure: uninstall opens a browser. so no uninstall possible.
no new installation from dvd possible, because the installer also opens an browser-window instead of an installer.
system: vista64 sp2

Having issues with exporting files to an .eps format - using "selected only" some of the objects that I have selected do not get exported - ie. they are missing from the .eps file altogether.
On top of that, most of my colours get washed out to a grey scale - I do work in spot colours.
I have tried f8, and tried reinstalling.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've designed a simple graphic in X6 and printed directly to Roland ecosol printer. My black text doesn't show up on the print. I've spent a few hours and a lot of paper trying to figure this out.
The black text that isn't showing up is designed to be on top of a yellow box. When I print as intended, the text doesn't show. However, when I move the text off the box, it is printed and visible. Is it a document setup, color management, or print settings issue? Or none of the above?
I paid a lot of money for this software which was supposed to come with a library of clipart, photos, etc. I have exactly ZERO and I cannot get any support on why that is.
How do I get the clipart I paid for?
I'm running CD X5 on a windows 7 machine. I had a custom "my Toolbar" set up wit all my most used tools and now suddenly it's gone! It is turned on in the menu (checked). I have unchecked it and rechecked it to no avail. I have re-booted my machine and still nothing. why it's gone but I can't seem to get it back.

well that is kind of annoying to have a 12x36 panorama canvas with only the text and not the picture, since the canvas is ruined and costs about $12 a print.
My computer with CORELDRAWX5 got damaged, and I purchased a new one and upgraded to X6.
My problem is that when opening my previous files on my new computer, I have alot of MISSING FONTS, that I use regularly and do not currently have. How do I retrieve these fonts?
I just upgraded to X5 (from X3). Many of the fonts that I have in my used are missing. I went through the Bit Stream Font Navigator and cannot located them there either. Many of my existing customer files require those fonts for use in their logos...etc. I also went to myfonts as indicated and did not see them there.

I tried clicked on tools -color management but it opens document setting and that's it.
I am using X-15 and just not sure what I am doing wrong.
I've been using these two programs for some time with no problem. I recently upgraded some of my adobe software and now when I try to open CorelDRAW of Photopaint, there is no welcome screen anymore and I can't click on anything.
Is there something conflicting with the welcome screen (flash or something that the welcome screen uses) that perhaps was installed with one of the adobe products, maybe? Not sure if it matters but I updated adobe dreamweaver and fireworks.Both programs are unusable now with this loading problem.
I am interested to know why with Corel Draw the quality of many of my images and text looks very poor on the screen, but when I publish to PDF they are how they should be. Is there any way of changing this so I see on the screen what the real quality looks like?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI make an image 15.8 x 29.8 and when it prints out on my canon 8300 it is only 15.5 x 29.5 actual size measured on the canvas. the image is designed to wrap over the edge of stretchers 15 x29. the pics are 3 tenths inch short!
another pic is 15.5 x 29.25 instead of 15.5 x 29.5 so it is 1/4 inch short the long direction.don't recall having this problem before so why are the images not the same size in print that they are on the screen?
Just upgraded from X3 to X6. Still getting used to it, but so far so good.
On one layout, some items on a printable layer do not appear on the Print Preview. The page contains a monochrome bitmap, some text and a curve. Only the bitmap appears on the print preview, yet everything prints.
It doesn't happen with every job. Not a big deal on this job, but there will soon come a time when I need to know what will and will not print.
I have Corel DRAW Home & Student Suite X5. It appears not to include the Docker "Object Coordinates" although both the video and Help files include prescriptions for using it.Corel Support insist that this docker is present in this edition of X5 and instruct me to reset the application defaults (F8).F8 does not reveal the missing docker, nor does a complete uninstall/reinstall. It seems to me that "Object Coordinates actually is NOT there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using MS Windows System 7 and printing onto two networked printers, a Lexmark Pro205 and a HPD7460, It seems that when I have finished setting up a page of texts and inserts for a publication the page looks good on the screen and on the PRINT PREVIEW window of either PRINTER software but some of it does not print. The left side of the two column page prints OK but the right side is blank after the first line. The text that flows from page to page to page seems to be alright and the inserts that are not part of the flow text that has been inserted as wrap around text (surround) prints.The is simple missing. The next page of the same article is doing the same thing.
I originally had this problem in another document on the HP but not the Lexmark. Now I have it on both printers in this document.
I was wondering if there are control characters that the printers are acting upon during the print function. Can one see all the control functions on a page before printing or at will?
