CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Missing Docker Object Coordinates
Jan 25, 2012I have Corel DRAW Home & Student Suite X5. It appears not to include the Docker "Object Coordinates" although both the video and Help files include prescriptions for using it.Corel Support insist that this docker is present in this edition of X5 and instruct me to reset the application defaults (F8).F8 does not reveal the missing docker, nor does a complete uninstall/reinstall. It seems to me that "Object Coordinates actually is NOT there.

I noticed that in CDX4 under the tranformations docker we had the "apply to duplicate" feature under the rotate option. However, I do not see it in CDX5.
Is this a change that was made to CDX5? Or am I missing something when I loaded CDX5 to my computer?

Jul 9, 2012I have just switched from X5 to X6. I am almost convinced that before, when I made a change on for instance an objects size in the Transformations docker, I then pressed Enter, and that was the same as using the mouse and clicking Apply. This doesn't work in X6, I have to lift my hand and use the mouse. Is there a way to fix this?

Sep 4, 2012After installing the latest patch, I read that ... "You can press Enter to apply transformations from the Transformations docker".
Here's my issue...when I draw a box as shown, I try to do a "PROPORTIONAL" size change by using the 'enter' key. No luck. I then try to do a 'non-proportional scale', it works fine.

May 27, 2011I have created a custom docker and I need to find a way to have the docker refresh when the document.save event is fired. The docker retrieves custom document properties saved within the file and displays the vales in the docker. I have it currently set to update when i switch between documents or when the document is closed, the docker is cleared of all the values. I still , to this day, can not figure out how to refresh automatically after I save a document.

May 13, 2013Is there a quick and easy way to delete all symbols in the Symbol Manager docker? I know there is a macro that converts symbols to objects but the macro does not affect this part the document that has ANOTHER set of Symbols....know what I mean? Maybe a macro that digs and wipes out all symbols in the docker?
It takes a REALLY long time just to delete them one by one...even multi-selecting did not work.

Mar 29, 2011The latest version has built upon the QuickSwap module (select 2 images and then swap them with one click) by adding a QuickSwapSize module which not only swaps 2 images, but also swaps their sizes.The macro also has the original module SwapImage module which pops up a userform and allows the user to choose how the 2 images are swapped (e.g. swap the position of their top left corners, bottom right corners, etc). Here is a screen capture of how the modules appear in the Macro Manager docker, assign shortcut buttons/keystrokes to make them one click away:

1. Facing problem of frequent CorelDraw X6 crash while working and seemingly most of the times it even don't sent any error messages to Corel support.
2. Transformations docker doesn't accept enter for applying changes, it only responds when we hit apply. It is good to move through options by using TAB, but it should accept ENTER as “APPLY” as we make desired change in any parameter. Mostly I prefer dockers to property bar.
3. Open and Import dialogue boxes don’t get cancelled as we hit ESC key.
4. Using pick tool double click a group of objects including paragraph text and get desired rotation is still a havoc despite we are using x6 (64-bit). It kills much of our time. See screen shot below:
5. I am also facing problem in EPS editable import as shown in the screen shot below "An error occurred while processing PIEE.eps. The file cannot be opened."
The file is created in x6 and has 2 pages for two print jobs. Both pages has flatten background text and fountain lenses to RGB bitmap. All texts converted to curves. Page 1 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable successfully. Page 2 exported to EPS and then imported as EPS editable - shown above error. I have also tried importing this page to a fresh file and then created fresh EPS but got the same erroneous result.
As far as my experience with PDF is not good, because sometimes PDF also produces undesired result on RIP specially as RGB images, bar codes, drop shadows etc. I believe that EPS files are far more reliable in prepress jobs.

May 9, 2011X5 Recently have begun missing parts of print out. Tried to duplicate but appears completely random.
Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram

Having issues with exporting files to an .eps format - using "selected only" some of the objects that I have selected do not get exported - ie. they are missing from the .eps file altogether.
On top of that, most of my colours get washed out to a grey scale - I do work in spot colours.
I have tried f8, and tried reinstalling.

Oct 24, 2013I've designed a simple graphic in X6 and printed directly to Roland ecosol printer. My black text doesn't show up on the print. I've spent a few hours and a lot of paper trying to figure this out.
The black text that isn't showing up is designed to be on top of a yellow box. When I print as intended, the text doesn't show. However, when I move the text off the box, it is printed and visible. Is it a document setup, color management, or print settings issue? Or none of the above?

I have unchecked it and rechecked it to no avail. I have re-booted my machine and still nothing. why it's gone but I can't seem to get it back.

I select all objects and save the design then print, and sometimes only the text prints! the image/photo does not print.
well that is kind of annoying to have a 12x36 panorama canvas with only the text and not the picture, since the canvas is ruined and costs about $12 a print.

Apr 7, 2011When you open the welcome screen and you choose "New from Template" the welcome screen in the background is missing the left side of the welcome screen.
And when you close the "new from template" window, it stays missing and you cannot choose any of your recent "open documents".

Apr 23, 2012Just upgraded from X3 to X6. Still getting used to it, but so far so good.
On one layout, some items on a printable layer do not appear on the Print Preview. The page contains a monochrome bitmap, some text and a curve. Only the bitmap appears on the print preview, yet everything prints.
It doesn't happen with every job. Not a big deal on this job, but there will soon come a time when I need to know what will and will not print.

Feb 18, 2012I am using MS Windows System 7 and printing onto two networked printers, a Lexmark Pro205 and a HPD7460, It seems that when I have finished setting up a page of texts and inserts for a publication the page looks good on the screen and on the PRINT PREVIEW window of either PRINTER software but some of it does not print. The left side of the two column page prints OK but the right side is blank after the first line. The text that flows from page to page to page seems to be alright and the inserts that are not part of the flow text that has been inserted as wrap around text (surround) prints.The is simple missing. The next page of the same article is doing the same thing.
I originally had this problem in another document on the HP but not the Lexmark. Now I have it on both printers in this document.
I was wondering if there are control characters that the printers are acting upon during the print function. Can one see all the control functions on a page before printing or at will?

Jan 4, 2013I've been trying to edit a certain Corel Draw document. At first it told me I was missing a font. So I closed the Corel Draw and installed the missing font.
But now its not showing the new font in the document. I see the new font in the control panel. And i can type a new text box. But I have 60 pages or so and I dont want to retype all these text boxes.

May 5, 2011After laying up a nameplate design and having inspection verify the design I went to the next stage of of our production which is step and repeat.
I stepped the nameplate 5 down and items 3 and 4 are missing 1 line of text but the text re-appears on the last (5th) image. I then I stepped it accross 6 times with items 3 and 4 still missing text all the way accros (I would expect this). The missing text went un-noticed by both me and inspection since the first (upper left) and last (lower right) images should be identically correct and they were.
