I paid a lot of money for this software which was supposed to come with a library of clipart, photos, etc. I have exactly ZERO and I cannot get any support on why that is.
How do I get the clipart I paid for?
I have just upgraded to X5 from X3.
I have got the Connect docker up but I can't see the content.I have opened the folders but the files are just white squares...... If I drag one onto the workdesk then the image appears.Photos and Objects work but can't see the clip art images
I have Corel Draw 12 on one computer and Corel 5 on my lap top - After following the simple video instructions to place a background image ( imported photo - jpg or tiff) into a set text the message box ...The object you selected is invalid - do you wish to try again pops up.

My symbol manager doesn't work in CorelDRAW X5.
I open the symbol manager and click on local or network symbols, add library and go to c: users/public/ public documents/ Corel/ CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5/ extras/ content/ clipart and click on any of the folders or files and then click on "ok" and I get absolutely nothing.
Nothing appears in the symbol preview at anytime. I think I am doing this according to the instructions. I know the clip art is there because I can navigate to it through windows and open them.
I uninstalled, re-installed, and updated it.
It seems as if I've done something to my system as I'm no longer able to preview my corel draw graphics. When I open any file containing a graphic file all I see is the green icon.

Unlike the old days when a big, bound, full color book used to come with the clip art to identify quickly which specific assets I'd like to use I can't seem to figure out a way to quickly browse the collection without dropping the file into a document, then either keeping it on the page or deleting and moving to the next. I also don't seem to have the ability to turn on file thumbnails in windows explorer on Win7 64-bit (couldn't find a support article that fixed this either)

Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram
I've run across a few labels that aren't in the Avery library. Is there a way to add Avery templates into the Corel library?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to create and name my own colors. To start with, I put the default RGB palette into "show color names" mode, and I then intend to add to the palette colors which I have named for my own purposes, and then delete the colors I dont need.
I have put the palette so it floats, which is more convenient for me, and I want to extend the palette down so that I can see most of the color names immediately, for example this is easy to do in CorelPainter.
I find that I cant extend the floating palette window beyond the default size, even though, when I select the window, arrows appear at the edges and corners of the palette, as if it is possible to move them. I find that the whole desktop turns grey, and a sort of secondary palette window appears momentarily and flutters on and off.
I just create a few objects in the symbol manager, now I want to send those contents I createt to a friend. But I cannot find my library/symbols folder in the Corel Draw folders.

Having issues with exporting files to an .eps format - using "selected only" some of the objects that I have selected do not get exported - ie. they are missing from the .eps file altogether.
On top of that, most of my colours get washed out to a grey scale - I do work in spot colours.
I have tried f8, and tried reinstalling.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've designed a simple graphic in X6 and printed directly to Roland ecosol printer. My black text doesn't show up on the print. I've spent a few hours and a lot of paper trying to figure this out.
The black text that isn't showing up is designed to be on top of a yellow box. When I print as intended, the text doesn't show. However, when I move the text off the box, it is printed and visible. Is it a document setup, color management, or print settings issue? Or none of the above?
I'm running CD X5 on a windows 7 machine. I had a custom "my Toolbar" set up wit all my most used tools and now suddenly it's gone! It is turned on in the menu (checked). I have unchecked it and rechecked it to no avail. I have re-booted my machine and still nothing. why it's gone but I can't seem to get it back.

I select all objects and save the design then print, and sometimes only the text prints! the image/photo does not print.
well that is kind of annoying to have a 12x36 panorama canvas with only the text and not the picture, since the canvas is ruined and costs about $12 a print.
When you open the welcome screen and you choose "New from Template" the welcome screen in the background is missing the left side of the welcome screen.
And when you close the "new from template" window, it stays missing and you cannot choose any of your recent "open documents".
P.S. I have already tried the infamous "F4"
My computer with CORELDRAWX5 got damaged, and I purchased a new one and upgraded to X6.
My problem is that when opening my previous files on my new computer, I have alot of MISSING FONTS, that I use regularly and do not currently have. How do I retrieve these fonts?
I just upgraded to X5 (from X3). Many of the fonts that I have in my used are missing. I went through the Bit Stream Font Navigator and cannot located them there either. Many of my existing customer files require those fonts for use in their logos...etc. I also went to myfonts as indicated and did not see them there.

On one layout, some items on a printable layer do not appear on the Print Preview. The page contains a monochrome bitmap, some text and a curve. Only the bitmap appears on the print preview, yet everything prints.
It doesn't happen with every job. Not a big deal on this job, but there will soon come a time when I need to know what will and will not print.
I have Corel DRAW Home & Student Suite X5. It appears not to include the Docker "Object Coordinates" although both the video and Help files include prescriptions for using it.Corel Support insist that this docker is present in this edition of X5 and instruct me to reset the application defaults (F8).F8 does not reveal the missing docker, nor does a complete uninstall/reinstall. It seems to me that "Object Coordinates actually is NOT there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using MS Windows System 7 and printing onto two networked printers, a Lexmark Pro205 and a HPD7460, It seems that when I have finished setting up a page of texts and inserts for a publication the page looks good on the screen and on the PRINT PREVIEW window of either PRINTER software but some of it does not print. The left side of the two column page prints OK but the right side is blank after the first line. The text that flows from page to page to page seems to be alright and the inserts that are not part of the flow text that has been inserted as wrap around text (surround) prints.The is simple missing. The next page of the same article is doing the same thing.
I originally had this problem in another document on the HP but not the Lexmark. Now I have it on both printers in this document.
I was wondering if there are control characters that the printers are acting upon during the print function. Can one see all the control functions on a page before printing or at will?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to edit a certain Corel Draw document. At first it told me I was missing a font. So I closed the Corel Draw and installed the missing font.
But now its not showing the new font in the document. I see the new font in the control panel. And i can type a new text box. But I have 60 pages or so and I dont want to retype all these text boxes.
After laying up a nameplate design and having inspection verify the design I went to the next stage of of our production which is step and repeat.
I stepped the nameplate 5 down and items 3 and 4 are missing 1 line of text but the text re-appears on the last (5th) image. I then I stepped it accross 6 times with items 3 and 4 still missing text all the way accros (I would expect this). The missing text went un-noticed by both me and inspection since the first (upper left) and last (lower right) images should be identically correct and they were.
After the X6.2 service pack everything looked fine at first, but when dropping bitmaps, Draw now regularly complains about missing the color profile. Of course the bitmaps have profiles embedded, and Draw had never complained about those same bitmaps before. Well, I have everything in AdobeRGB or IsoCoated v2 CMYK, and these are also the standard settings in CorelDraw. So it didn't make a difference eventually, colors remained the same to the numbers.
However, I re-calibrated my display a little later, installed the new profile, opened Draw and was shocked: stridently over-saturated colors in bitmap images as well as in vector graphics, nowhere near their appearance in four-color print (they had been pretty close before). In other color-managed applications everything looks fine, only CorelDraw is concerned. It still does respond to display profile changes, it does adjust colors when a different profile is installed, but the over-saturation is always there. Color definitions are not changed and output is as ever, it is only Corel's rendering of display colors.
I believe that this reaction to a change of the system display profile and the ignorance of profiles embedded in bitmaps go back to the same problem with color management.
Is there a registry hack or something to make it recognize color profiles properly again, or do we have to wait for the next SP to fix a bug brought in by the last?
I have drawings created in X5 taht i need to put into word documents, i have in the past done this many times with no issues, i now have a drawing that will paste in, but some objects are missing, and some text is missing.
I have tried all of the Paste special options, the only one that will put all objects in is bitmap, with all others objects are missing.
If i print as PDF all objects are there, if i Export the graphic for Office, using compatibility mode places all objects, but if i choose editable mode the same objects disappear
