View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a question about selections in PP.
Why when I make a path for example and make a selection from it every time the selection is 1 pixel wider then the path. I'm used to it with Photoshop and it's very precise even you use the lasso tool and paths. But here I can't understand the logic in that 1 pixel more. Every time I make a selection I have to reduce the size of the selection with 1 pixel and that is very uncomfortable.
How to use Pixel unit for Font instead of Point?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen using "pixel units" the position and sizes are reported rounded to the nearest pixel.
The two squares below are both reported as 2 pixels square. One is actually 1.5 pixels square:
can the pixel coordinates and sizes not be rounded?
I want to get a version of coreldraw, but can't afford x6, I need to be able to create high resolution pdfs and pngs and also to create stuff in CMYK. Can I do this in x3 or do I need to splash out on a newer version.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I import a custom bitmap into Coreldraw, as linked image, the resulting image is very coarse.
If I import all content, the resolution is preserved.
Is that possible to increase the preciousness of linked images to reflect original?
I have an image from a magazine that is 9" X 7.5" and want to scan it so that I can get the best resolution from it and be able to place it on a banner that will be 3ft X5ft.
In what format should I scan it ? JPEG, TIFF, or PDF
Is there a way to export at a lower resolution or to change the resolution in some way so the resulting PDF isn't so large?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to bulk edit photos by pixel size? I'm going through an eBay nightmare where the minimum pixel size on the longest side will need to be 500. I have thousands of images. First: will corel 12 sort images by pixel dimensions? or is there a program somewhere that will? Second: can I then take the smaller images and bulk resample them to 500 pixels on the longest side?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI create a new black document with rendering resolution set to 150dpi.
If I export the artwork as JPEG, and check "Maintain Size", I'll get the artwork in correct dimension and resolution. However, if I export as TIFF, the resolution by default is 72dpi, and if I increase the resolution to 150dpi, the dimension reduces accordingly, ending up with a smaller bitmap exported.
I am producing an 10 x 5 foot trade show display for a client. Even though the image they chose is relatively large (18.7" x 12.5" at 300 dpi), when scaled up it will be about 64 dpi at final size.
I've read that such displays typically use 75-100 dpi images. Where do you find ultra high res stock images? The one we are using is from Istockphoto.
I am playing with this at the minute but thought I would upload an image I am having trouble with. Learned 'flattening' with effects on top of other images - my problem this time is that we need a ghosted part of an image - my boss has done a 'glow' rectangle but i cannot 'flatten' it as it is sitting on top of a vector image!
I am going to try and split the vector image and fill it with a fountain fill but unsure if this can be done.
Been a CorelDraw user for a long time. Just installed x6 (previous X4), and tried to export an image to jpg. X6 seems to have this dialog box with all these presets. How do I manually set my resolution, pixels, etc. as in the previous versions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can set that an object only moves per 1 pixel increments when moving using the arrows keys?I am designing a few web banners right now and when i move objects with the arrow keys to have them placed exactly, they jump with more then 60 pixels in one go making this exercise a bit useless.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have to design a billboard that needs to be 8ft by 20ft. What size layout should I design it in? I know I need to make sure my pictures are high resolution so it can be blown up to the proper size, correct?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a question about using the outline trace function and resolution of images.
Say for instance, I am trying to create an existing logo for a customer in which I have to pull the image off the internet. I am unable to find an image that is high resolution, so I pick one with a lower resolution, because after all, I am going to trace the logo to cut out on my cutter with a heat transfer application. It is a simple design, a heart for instance. So when I use Corel Trace, no matter how small beforehand I make said heart, when it traces it comes out jagged, like the pixelation you see on a low res image. Is there any way to smooth this out? Or do I just need to look harder for a higher res image?
When I try to convert any object to a bitmap, the resolution is highlighted but doesn't workif I want to change the existing resolution. I have to RESELECT the numbers to export to another resolution as if the resoltion WASN'T highlighted.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got X6. I can't get my default color mode to save. I go to options, document, general and change it from CMYK to RGB click document to save styles for all but it doesn't save it. When I export I have to manually change CMYK to RGB and the resolution every time. In other versions once I set it it was always there. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

The problem is when i import a pdf file in coreldraw.

When making a print preview the drawing is looking like it should. But when printing the file on our printers (we have tested it on 2) it comes out with no background. When we change the color mode to CYMK there is no problem printing. How can we resolve this issue so that we can print in RGB color mode without having to swap to CYMK?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to uninstall X5 to install it again. Because when I try and any of the programs connected to it I get blank screens. I'm completely dumbfounded.. When I click on it to "UNINSTALL" I also get the green bar for about 2 seconds, but the box is completely blank. No buttons or anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a simple graph of an area painted with some transparency in Origin Pro 9.1(such as this: URL..... and copied and pasted it on a blank CorelDraw X6 file. The area in the embedded image looks checker board pattern, not transparent as in the original image.
The problem appears to be within CorelDraw, as the embedded link to Origin software works fine, and an embedded image of the same graph in Microsoft PowerPoint looks just fine.I've tired combinations of earlier Origin versions (9.0, 8.5) , CorelDrawX3, XP and Windows7(32bit, 64bit). All failed.
I opened my CorelDRAW X3 to find that the colours on screen look corrupted.
I use the "Optimised for professional output setting" in Colour Management which I never change.
Now, rather than looking fairly close to printed colours, they look very bright... too bright! (see screen shot)
I think that i have had this problem before and i ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. I would like to avoid this if i can as have have a lot of custom settings that i would have to re-do.
I’d like to copy an object a distance that I specify on screen. I can see how to copy a specified number of inches, but that is very awkward. You have to measure the distance (horizontal and vertical) and then input the numbers, then click “apply”. Is there a simpler way to do it?
Or is there a way to paste at a specified location? If I do an Edit>Copy then Edit>Paste, it pastes the new object on top of the old one.
I suspect that there is no way to do this, but it seemed so logical....How can I rotate the actual view of a page in DRAW? I have these box designs that I get handed, done somewhere else on the planet, with changes to various panels that are shown as upside down or at 90 degrees to the original page. I have to squint and cough backwards to read them.
Of course, for text, I can do an edit, but usually the text has been converted to curves many revisions ago. I looked, but could find no option for simply rotating the view, which would solve the problem.Surely there is a view "object" that gets filtered through the various existing View options, meaning that a simple set of transforms should also be able to rotate the entire pageview.
I do know how to kludge it, by selecting ALL and then rotating everything around a center point, but it requires than everything be selectable, and I use layers a LOT, for keeping the background frozen, for example. So, to get to a simple view of a small section on some sideways box tab, I have to unlock everything, select everything, rotate, edit, and then rotate back again and relock all the locked layers. It would make life simpler to have rotation as an option in View. Unless there's a better way???(And, no, the monitor is even harder to twist around.)
after installing the update to 6.2 on my spare system coreldraw just starts with it's welcome screen in any browser (standard-browser: ie, firefox or chrome) instead of corel itself. therefore i can't work with coreldraw anymore - even cannot close it. have to kill process in task-manager.
no uninstalling possible because of the same failure: uninstall opens a browser. so no uninstall possible.
no new installation from dvd possible, because the installer also opens an browser-window instead of an installer.
