I am kinda new to image editing and I am wondering how to do something like on the news (the weather reports in particular) where the replace/add the landscape to a green/blue background. I would like to do it with a white background and have it replaceed with something more interesting. The closest I can find is the color replacement tool but that is not quite what I want to do. Any ideas?
View 8 RepliesI've got a webpage footer to edit and I don't have the .psd file so I'm trying to use content-aware to take out an unwanted part. Problem is, the background isn't one solid color and the area where I'm making the edit has a definitive color change...it's an actual line dividing the footer into two sections. So, whenever I do the content aware fill it doesn't keep that line or the colors the way they "should" be.
Is this a situation where having the .psd file is a must?

I know there is the replace color adjustment, but this replaces a single color e.g. 190,190,190 with another color e.g. 200, 200, 200. I would like to replace a range of colors e.g. from 185 to 195 with 200, 200, 200.

How can i do that?
Is it required any photoshop plugins to do that?
I have a .jpg where I am trying to replace the background color. I choose a sage green in the replacement color picker, and it shows properly in the dialog box, but in the actual picture I get a dark gray instead of sage green. I checked Image>Mode and it is set to RGB color. How can I get the color I want?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI work on old radios, and jukeboxes. Remember Vacuum Tubes (Valves)? The schematics when I can get them are not very clear. I try and clean up areas of the schematic I am working on by redrawing the lines, and redoing the text. I try and do the lines in the colors of the wires.For example, If I wanted to draw a wire that was blue with a red stripe, it would look something like the attached image. It would have black outline, and the inside filled with 1 or 2 color (the diagonal strips would be nice, but I could live with straight lines).
If I wanted to draw a white line, it would have black outline, and the inside would be a solid color.Is there a way to accomplish this for the two types of lines that I need to draw?If not, looking for some plugin source code that I could adapt?
I post a picture of the coins and needt to cut around edges... usually wand does get it all and it is time consuming to finish it..

On screen it looks correct but when I print it, it comes out with a tan colored background. I've tried both a large scale plotter and a small color laser printer and get the same result.

I have a door with 3 of the same handle. I have a program in which the user selects 1 of the handles to turn it into a keyed handle. Now, this all works but the problem is that all of the 3 regular handle instances will be replaced with the keyed handle.

How can i get such effects like in the attached image;
- first of all; the image has no background - the grapes are shown on a plain white background.Note; there is another nice little thing that we have to mention; the image of the grapes are somewhat with a kind of a overdose of light - i think that this is a nice effect - perhaps added with gimp!? The grapes look very interesting.
- the next effect that i like is the adding of the circles that are seen in the image. How did they add those pastel colored circles.

I am working with a vector file that was created by someone else and am unable to get a hold of that person. It is of a logo and when I applied a colored background to the logo or import it into another file, the color of some objects of the log becomes very pale and "desaturated."
