Paint.NET :: Make A Light Colored Image To Transparent Background
May 2, 2012
I have a light-colored image that I want to make a transparent background of without having any of the jagged white edges and whatnot, to make a signature and avatar and so on. I've tried the magic wand, Alpha Mask, and Alpha Space, none of which have succeeded. As I said, the image itself is very light (the attached image), so it's difficult to achieve what I'm trying to do.
I'm trying to make the background in an image transparent. After I save the image to my desktop, I check it out and it doesn't appear transparent. I open it in Paint.NET and sure enough, it's not. I know I know how to make things transparent because i've done it before but it just won't work this time.
I need the logo of my team from a game I play so I can modify or create profile cards. I have the original card and I'm trying to copy and paste the logo so I can use it on another image with a different background or theme. But when I copy and paste the logo I want to use, I use the "select" option and it goes with the original background. Is there an option so I can make the background dissappear and just get my logo on a transparent background for future use or edition? In this case I'm trying to make a St.Patrick's theme for the fan page of my team.
Today I downloaded Paint.NET so I could make some things for my company, I made this image for my page, and I can't make it transparent for it to match my black background. Here's the image if needed.
I have a question about the transparent background. I want to make the background of the following image(its a part of my image) transparent but when i use the magic stick the teal color is gone also.
When I draw an image or put text in and I make the background transparent and save. PS I save to my pictures. When I drag my image or text onto my clip in my programe sometimes it works and someimes the background goes black, why it goes black about 90% OF THE TIME
I'm sure there must be a way of doing this but I've been fiddling with it for hours. How can I remove, or make a background transparent so that I don't get the white box when I use this on a coloured background.
I'm trying to make the attached icons have a transparent background. Tried just selecting the white space but this causes the edges to look awful on dark backgrounds.
I've also tried the Grim Color Reaper but cannot find a setting that keeps the icon as it is, only making the edge semi transparent.
How to make a background transparent (invisible), but I can't find any on how to make an image see-through? I need to make the top layer picture some what see-through so that the image behind it shows up a bit.
I need PS experts to teach me how to make a transparent image, not a background. I found a image on the website, but I've been tested many times and didn't figure out how it made like this.
the center flower is 100% transparent, but it still keeps shadow and embossed area. I used blend mode for testing, but everytime if I make it to 100% transparent, I lose everything, it becomes a flat transparent area.
I was wondering if there was a fairly simple and straightforward way to make an image's background transparent (for example, a transparent .gif) without using layers. Similar to some apps that have an eyedropper tool used to create transparencies.
I have a detailed pen drawing that is the logo for my company. So far there has been no problems using jpeg scans for most purposes, however I am now working on a project that will require a background color change. Any automated way in Xara (or any other option) to convert the image and make the background transparent? I have attached a copy of the image below.
Trying (in vain) to get the background of this picture transparent...Its white right now and i tried alphamask the whole picture looked like it had seen a ghost but it still wasn't transparent the magic wand refuses to do so either perhaps i'm doing something wrong?
I used to be able to do this but have forgotten how. I would like to remove the bg from a small image, ie make it's bg transparent, and place that small image on top of a large image, a banner. Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I place the small image on the large one the entire image is transparent, not just the bg.
I have a jpg 350 x 250 with a white background and a photo of a girls face within a round circle in the center.
I Tried to create a transparent background it did not work for me, so I used the background eraser tool (psp12) So now I have a circular image with a transparent background.
I have another Image of the same size and I want to place this round image 350 x 250 with transparent background on top of the second image 350 x 250. How can I do this ?
How do I save an image with a transparent background. I check of transparent background when loading up an new image. I set my image dimensions make color transparent and go. When I save the file in jpg it previews with a white background. I need to use my logo on different color media each time the logo sits in a white box.
I've typed in the text in the color that I want. I've clicked on the magic wand, clicked on the white space and I get the checkered background. But it also covers my text and then when I try to use the saved image, it's all completely transparent.
How do I do this so that the text shows up, but the background remains transparent?
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to make a completely transparent and colored image? I'm intending to use it for a webpage and placing links and other stuff on a table, in which i want to have a colored and transparent background, so i can view the page background.
I want to lift image from photo and then do transparent background.
Is there any knack of selecting the item from the image cleanly. In my case its a dog. I use the lasso to go around the object but that leaves a 2mm space where the background shows through.
(Is there a way to use the lasso to make a partial selection then remove your finger from the mouse and then continue your selection from where you left off ?)
After I have Deleted the inverted selection I use the Background remover to remove the remaining 2mm of background around the dog.Again is there a knack to using this tool ? I Googled and it said to keep the removal circule half in and half out of the actual image. Also is ther a correct setting in the menu bar for the BG/removal tool..Im just experimenting.
my settings at this moment are.
